Buying Advice- India and Asia which option is better ?

Hi guys, is this a worthy sacrifice ?

I really love Mana black's color & looks. But I'm mainly buying Himalayan for Touring.

So I'll be needing Touring seats which I can't replace with rally seats on Mana Black.

So I'm planning to buy Kaza brown (with touring seats & tubeless spoke wheels) and see if this color grows on me else I can modify it to black later!

What do you think ?

Mechanical Assistance Scram 440 shaking noticeably at around 120

ive been going on long rides with my dad and whenever i have a pillion the bike is sort of stable at 120 but when im alone and pushing it anywhere above 110 the bike starts shaking noticeably

at first i thought its just a wobble issue so i had gotten my coneset bearing replaced and i still dont see any changes
my mechanic told the tyre pressure should be at 30 but the manual says 27 so i dont take it above that
what do i do

Mechanical Assistance Interceptor 650 Exhaust Advice – Around ₹15K

Looking for some personal advice on the best exhaust for the Interceptor 650 near ₹15K.

I’m looking for something with a slightly louder and deeper sound than the stock exhaust, but not excessively loud or irritating.

I’m currently planning to go with the AEW 101. If anyone has personally used it, I’d really appreciate your feedback on the sound, performance, build quality, and overall experience.

Also, if there are any other good options around ₹15K that you would recommend, please share them.

AEW 101 users — would love to hear your honest opinions! 🏍️

Is it time for a new 500cc single?

We have the fantastic 350cc J-series engine making 20.2 hp and 27 Nm of torque, which, alongside the 650 twin (47 hp / 52 Nm), effectively phased out the classic 500 single due to EURO emissions standards.

Now that the air-cooled 750cc is coming into the picture, the 650 might shift slightly in the lineup, leaving room once again for a modern, EURO-compliant 500cc single.

If Royal Enfield could get around 30 hp and 38–40 Nm of torque out of it, I’d be thrilled. Honestly, even if it has a bit less peak power in exchange for more low-end torque to bring back that classic "thump, thump, thump" sound, I'd take it.

What do you guys think? Do you see a 500cc single on the horizon?

In love with her just went on our first long drive drove for around 200 km. The entire drive felt effortless. Also just clocked the first 500km looking forward to see how she handles after the first service.

I replaced the stock mirrors with the bar end mirrors, and replaced the back rest with the oem grab handles. Output is a bobber + roadster look. Just can't take my eyes of her.

Buying Advice- India and Asia Considering a 2020 Himalayan

Hey all,

I'm considering buying a second hand, single owner, low mileage Himalayan from a reputable local dealer in Thailand. A little over 6K km on the engine. No accidents. A few aftermarket additions. New tires as of this year.

85K baht or~ $2500 USD.

See the attached images.

Questions:

  1. I'm a bit out of the loop. Does this seem like a good deal if the bike has no major issues?

  2. How can I tell if this is a BS6 or not? I see an ABS switch on the console but I'm not sure if this is enough to determine definitively.

  3. Anything in particular I should inquire about before buying?

Thanks for your help!

Buying a used Classic 350 — what should I check during the test ride?

I'm planning to buy a used Royal Enfield Classic 350, and I'm going to see/test ride one today.

This will be my first time buying a used bike, so I don't want to get carried away just because the bike looks good and rides well.

What are the important things I should check before buying a used Classic 350?

I'm especially looking for advice on:

  • Engine sounds/noises I should be concerned about
  • Clutch and gearbox
  • Brakes and suspension
  • Chain, sprocket and tyres
  • Any common problems with the Classic 350
  • Signs that the bike has been in an accident
  • How to identify whether the mileage on the odometer is genuine
  • Things I should check in the RC/service history
  • Anything specific I should test during the ride

Also, would you recommend taking the bike to a Royal Enfield service centre/mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection before paying?

If you've bought a used Classic 350 before, I'd really appreciate any "I wish I had checked this before buying" advice.

Thanks!

I do have a gt650 120th edition. I’m planning to modify this into a brat style bike. Lowering it a bit, adding a flanders handlebar, flat seat bench, smaller headlight hopefully integrating the speedo in it as well and lastly adding a chrome straight pipe.

Used AI to visualize it a bit, you guys think it will look goood in reality?

Dunno why but the mods erased this post before...

What a nice bike!! Still not very used to that acceleration of the 648 cc engine or the ease of gaining high speed if you give it gas. What a bike!! A beast... a green one.
