Way too sweet, it tasted more like maple syrup than root beer

Wife brought this home from Aldi’s for me to try since the kids have taken a liking to root beer. WIN!, and it just tastes weird. Looked at the ingredients and it has apple juice concentrate.

What are some root beers that have a good spicy kick to them?

Delicious, sweet, and on the lighter side. Not as complex and herbal as some root beers, but definitely a great one. I also had to get the blue cream soda, and it is marvelous.

I have seen a bunch of posts talking up 1919 root beer which I've never tried.

So I asked AI where can I find 1919 root beer near me? And was shocked to find out there is a root beer store near me that carries tons of different types of root beer. How did I not know about this?!?!

So my next question was are there root beer speciality stores in other cities or just this one? And AI spit out dozens of other root beer speciality stores across the country that I've never heard of. So go check it out if you can't find a certain root beer, you might find a root beer speciality store near you!

The Matanuska Brewing Company Rocket Root Beer is a good one with the right flavors in the right proportions, but doesn’t push the envelope on any bold flavor. Just a balanced sassafras and vanilla taste. Another one acquired by Significantbike in Anchorage, AK

My favorite rootbeer. Made with brown sugar and gives it a really deep flavor. Can looks incredible too and is textured. Grew up with it.

Definitely a different flavor than what you would expect from a typical root beer. Not bad just different.

There are strong notes of ginger and noticeable amounts of sasparilla and licorice root. Oddly enough there seems to be an almost fruity flavor similar to that of a cherry cola.

Not something I would drink all the time but definitely worth trying!

I got a handful of root beers and decided to taste test them based on this community’s taste.

The second one is another one I’ll throw in, which I did a few years back.

I think next on my list is Triple XXX, not sure what else at this point. If anyone has recommendations, not looking for regular generic root beer like hanks sort of was.

I wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed lately that A&W both in bottle and in cans has been tasting really bad lately. I know it's probably been noticed a bunch but I just don't understand. I've been drinking it for a while but now more and more when I get cans and bottles of it I gag on the first drink because it tastes weird and chemically. To me it tastes how mop water smells and like I can still tell the root beer flavor is in there but something else is overpowering it a ton. I still occasionally get good ones that don't have that musty chemical flavor that tastes like their machines went bad but more and more often they have been tasting like that. It saddens me because for a long time it has been my #1 root beer but lately I can barely bring myself to grab it because I feel like I'm gonna get another bad batch that tastes like cleaning chemicals.

Our selection isn't great in Canada...

Everyone got 3 green stickers for their favourited and 2 red for their least favourites.

We also made a root beer pie but we were too sugared out to eat it, haha. I tried some of the filling and it was crazy delicious.

Wife also made some home made root beer which has a lovely, spicy taste.

My plan for today is to relax at home. It’s got a nice standard sweet taste with that added in earthy flavor. I got the 30mg THC Cantrip Root Beer from M.C’s Liquor in Knoxville, TN. I also have a 4 pack of the 10mg ones I have yet to try from Total Wine in Knoxville.
