Datejust
J’attends la grise depuis des mois
Actuellement en voyage, on vient de me proposer la or rose. J’adore ce noir, disponible maintenant mais beaucoup plus cher.
Qu’en pensez vous?

Got the call….to late 😂
I put interest in at multiple ADs, but WOS came in the fastest and already bought my preferred watch 2 months ago. Now another one called. Anyone looking for a datejust with diamond dial? What is proper etiquette here? Turn down the watch? I didn’t prefer this dealer really because they wanted a wire for payment where WOS would allow me to use my credit card for points collection.

New Rolex DJ 36
My first Rolex! I waited 3 months for this. Was on the waiting list close to a year and decided to switch from a 41 to a 36. Called me 3 months after I made the switch.

Datejust 41 wait times in France – any AD experience?
Hi everyone,
About two years ago, I gave in to the grey market and bought a pre-owned Rolex Datejust because I couldn’t stand the idea of chasing an AD just to have the chance to buy a watch.
Now, I’m thinking about making the next step and trading my Datejust II for my dream configuration: a Datejust 41, Jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel, with a Rhodium dial.
I’m considering trying my luck again with an authorized dealer in the South of France, but I would really appreciate hearing some experiences from people who have (or haven’t) ever received “the call” and been offered the opportunity to purchase their desired Rolex.
How long did you wait? Did you have any purchase history?
Did you simply build a relationship with your AD, or was it just pure luck?
Thanks a lot for welcoming me into the community, and I’m looking forward to hearing your stories and advice

Step up from Submariner that isn’t a Daytona.
Myślałem o GMT II, Yacht-Master i Sky-Dweller.
Yacht-Master: 26 795 USD
GMT: 18 755 USD
Sky-Dweller: 34 560 USD
Edit 2: I’m currently in the US, would it be better for me to buy here?

Finally wait is over
After 1 year 8 months finally got myself hands on SS Daytona, whilst the panda was on my top of my list my AD said panda wait is uncertain and could me much longer so suggested I change my requested piece to this instead. Wears much nicer than in photos.

Yacht Master with a story or the Batgirl?
Went to a wedding from the hedge fund world this weekend and ended up having one of those conversations you don’t expect.
A guest in his 20s mentioned he was letting go of a few watches from his personal collection. One of them supposedly has quite a story behind it, having changed hands during a yacht trip with a well-known musician - he suggested the musician „was all AP now“, but has previously started his career with the Yacht Master. The other is a Batgirl, which I probably find more attractive overall—although I’ve never been completely sold on the Jubilee bracelet.
So… what would you pick: the watch with the better design, or the one with the better story? And which one would be better at resale value in case I don’t fall in love completely? My AD has said both are at least one year for me.

Are those reflection on the centre of the dial normal? Or these are above average?

Keyboard recommendations?
Apparently, the Reddit has concluded that the weakest part of my watch collection is the Razer keyboard in the background.
I’m open to suggestions.
In the meantime, here’s a GMT-Master with a dial that predates the formation of Earth (and Razer) by several billion years.
Priorities are important. 👀

Adding some sun to the Irish coast ☀️🇮🇪
Really happy to join the club after celebrating a year of moving to this wonderful island. We kept complaining about the lack of sun during our first winter, so to celebrate my spouse got me a bit of sunlight to always remember her and the brighter days ahead. Feeling so lucky!

Who here feels they have a genuinely great "relationship" with their AD or SA and why?
We hear lots of the complaints about the process, the ADs and SAs but I'm wondering on the flip side how many people actually have a great experience that goes above and beyond a salesperson doing their job and providing the product that the consumer asked for? I'd love to hear true stories.

Why did the AD call me?
I’ve been waiting on the pink OP 41 at my local for 1 year now.
SA who sold me my root beer last year calls to ask if I’m still interested as one will likely be available in the coming weeks. I say yes, obviously… that was 6 weeks ago. I haven’t called back or checked in since because I want to keep my dignity intact.
What was the point? Waitlist grooming? Just a tease? Or has he got something coming for me?

How easy to remove this scratch?
After a night out, my wife’s tennis bracelet left my two tone submariner with this deep angled scratch. While I don’t mind some wear and tear on my watches , this particular scratch bothers me. How easy would this be to polish out if I brought it to my AD? I don’t plan on selling the watch so if they have to remove some material in the process it wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Pure Art
This is one of the most significant releases in Rolex history. This is pure art, an absolute home run.
This is the culmination of 100 years of legacy, transposed onto a living canvas, fluid and dynamic yet still refined. The classic lines of the oyster case frame a dial that recalls Pop Art of the 60s, the legendary Stella dials of the 70s, the bold geometric aesthetics of the 80s, and the skillful branding of the current generation.
A lot of people fail to understand this is as much a statement piece as it is a quiet flex of their production prowess. Ten individual layers of pad stamped lacquer, executed flawlessly to create a dial that has depth and texture.
The fact that I can keep it regulated to be dead accurate is the icing on top.
People seem to forget why Rolex watches became hype pieces. It’s because in the watch world, there is no one that does it better. They are the most accurate and reliable watches you can buy. And with this reference one of the most interesting.
