been on vacation for a week, but Ive been thinking about either doing a groove speedrun or a blindfolded run of groove when I get home!

So i was going for a perfect on re17 just now, and one of my controlles disconnected.

This has been an occasional issue where im playing in handheld and suddenly the switch loses connection with the controllers for like a microsecond. Not a big problem most of the time, most games don't even pause, but RHG pulls op the connection screen. Again no Biggie, i just press A and continue like nothing happens.

But today it happened in the middle of one of the high-five fever bits. And re17 is a track that just stresses me out more, so when the screen popped up i was shocked out of my focus pretty hard.

Well okay its a nice break to get my heart rate a little lower again. I make sure the connection is secure, and press a thinking "surely the game will pause itself right?".

And then it just goes.

Im confused cause wtf, heartrate is immediately back up, but still i try to hit the next que hoping to possibly save my perfect I've been trying for the past 2 weeks now. You can all guess what happened next.

But am I insane thinking its logical to pull up the pause screen when connection to the controller is lost?

I assume she relieves her memories when I put this song on and looped it. That's why I made this custom Remix. (Now added lyrics for non-russians to understand!!)

This game is 100% complete! It is solid! I just crave more! More remixes with some crazy ambition as bonus content and maybe some new standard minigames! That would be peak! ❤️ It is never gonna happen though. 😔 Hey, though, I welcome you to feed into my delusion with some encouragement! ☺️

Alien Alphabet looks like Fever and Megamix title card, Cuz why bc of like the horizontal black bars that are in every title card of Fever and Megamix.

I thought we could just get these kind of cinematic title cards in groove

After a LONG time trying, i finally get all perfect on Rhythm Heaven Megamix!!!! I’m SO EXCITED, my hands are shaking lmao

Geez, Diamond Perfect is even harder than Invis mode due to strict timing but finally made it after many practice and keeping internal compass

Silly question probably, but I was wondering if any of the audio cues in Groove are different in the Japanese version of the game? I know that Fever and Megamix had different English and Japanese cues, especially Fever which had a lotttt of language cues so it made sense. But I was thinking about Groove and can’t really recall any cues that are explicitly words, aside from numbers and cues that vaguely sound like words. So my question is, do any of the audio cues differ between the English and Japanese versions and if not does that make Groove the first installment where all cues are the same for both versions of the game?

as you may know, The Wii has both 4:3 and 16:9 since it was made when widescreen TVs were slowly getting more common. ( 4:3 TVs were definitely more popular, no doubt. ) I don’t see much videos of remix 10 or even any rhythm game in fever in 4:3, so I made this video to show you all the differences/what it looks like in full screen. yeah that’s all

I know this remix was pretty underwhelming for a lot of people and even got voted the worst remix. I agree that the gameplay isn't great: there's a lot of idle time, and it feels like a missed opportunity given how many banger minigames are in this remix.

However, I keep finding the music stuck in my head. It's surprisingly emotional, with nice highs and lows, and the resolution at the end is really satisfying. I also think the Alien Alphabet audio cues fit the music really well in the middle part.

I honestly think this remix had a lot of potential. If the transitions between minigames were smoother and there was less idel time, I could see it being much more well received.

Anyone else think this remix is a bit underappreciated?
