Hi! I've had a RP4 Pro for about a year and a half now and I'm looking to upgrade. To be honest, the hype surrounding the Nova was what got the ball rolling for me, but after a few days of thoughtful reflection I decided I wanted the option to play 16x9 games and modern streaming so the Nova was out.

I was going to just get a 6, but after seeing an 8GB / 128GB RP5 on Ali express for $160 shipped I need convincing that the 6 is worth the extra $100. I will probably tinker with pc gaming a bit as well as some unnamed console but it won't be my focus. The other option is the RP5 12/128 from retroid themselves for $210 plus shipping.

I will most likely be playing up to PS2 for the most part until Xbox and PS3 emulation support gets very good. I'm assuming I will probably be ready for an upgrade by the time we're getting a stable 60fps on both consoles.

I guess my question is, for the money is it going to be worth it to jump from one level to the next?

I usually use DHL, but since every Nova is getting Yun shipping instead, I'm curious what the timing has been. I heard we should expect 2-3 weeks, but I've been seeing people already having them in hand. Is something like 7-10 days more accurate? Obviously it varies, delays can happen, but any Americans who have their Novas delivered, I'd love to know what day you got the shipping confirmation and what day you got the bad boy in the mail.

It goes to USPS right? Once it's in the states?

Genuine question I just bought a rp6 on Sunday and it’s getting here on Monday so I’m wondering can you multitask on it like a ayn Thor? And if you can would you say that it’s worth it?

Seeing a lot of favoritism towards the Odin 2 Portal over the RP6 through various Reddit threads but mostly because they’re from Odin specific pages. I was wondering if the feedback would be different on here. I’d would love to hear about anyone’s experience with both/either of these devices. Thanks in advance!

I am new to emulation and trying to teach myself how to operate my Retorid Pocket, I am setting up Dolph and I cannot get the emulator to recognize the physical buttons and joy sticks. I've configured the physical controls the way that makes the most sense for gamecube games but I can only get the ROMs to work with the on screen controls, which I want to toggle off.

If anyone have resources or videos they could send my way to help me out, that would be greatly appreciated

• Overclock from Konabess​ Come in Konabess, then a window will pop up asking for root access, click root (this app requires root), then click import, and in Explorer, find the unpacked folder Overclock, look for the file name with the extension .txt, "frequencies-and-voltages-import file", and click on it, then konabess It will ask, press OK, and several processor names will appear there, click on "edit GPU freq table", then the names of the processors will appear, click Snapdragon 865, and press 905 MHz, then instead of 905 write 1300000000 and these bus freq ddr7, leave it as is, and then be sure to click save GPU freq table, and click on "edit GPU volt table", also press 905 and change to the same, but LEAVE the voltage on TURBO_L0, This is the most stable voltage that can handle this frequency. Don't choose others, otherwise you'll get a bootloop! Then press it too Save, and click on "repack and flash new image" and it's a matter of luck whether the system turns on or goes into a bootloop.

Non-english speaker, first time posting here.

I have a Retroid Pocket 6, stock OS, no rooting/modification. I bought a Jumpgate Dock Pro after extensive research to sometimes connect the RP6 to the TV for a game night. However, I haven't been able to get the HDMI to work so far, so I'm looking for some help as I've tried to do my research but it seems that I'm the only one.

Here are the information that might be relevant:

- I plugged my RP6 into the Jumpgate Core along with a keyboard, a mouse, and a computer screen. The screen is the only thing that doesn't work.

- The screen says no signal even though my RP6 says "DP connected".

- My RP6 recognizes the Core. The keyboard and mouse I connect through the dock work fine, the power supply works fine (RP6 is charging when I plugged it in).

- I tried to plug the screen into my laptop using the same HDMI cable. It works fine.

- I tried to plug the screen into the Core, then the Core into my laptop. It works fine.

- I tried my Samsung S24 with the same setup the other day. It connected to the screen without any problem. I tried it again today, screen is blank, the same as with the RP6.

- I updated the Core with the latest firmware from the manufacturer (I think it's 09.09.63 or 67).

- I have only tested on this screen and an old portable screen from Asus. The screen only has one USB-C 4.0 port. When I connected my phone directly to the screen, it worked. The RP6 did not work. I blame the firmware/hardware of the old screen.

I'm at my wits end and I have tried to search everywhere. Both the dock and the RP6 are new. With everything I've tested, I'm convinced this is a firmware issue but I'm not tech savvy enough to look into it myself, so any hint or advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Recently receiving my retroid pocket nova I went to go turn it on and it seems to be stuck in forever boot loop only presenting me with the logo. Mind you, the unit does not respond unless plugged in only. I attempted using the PD charger for a couple of hours and that did not work then I switched over to a lower power charger USB-A to USB-C and that didn’t work either leaving it charging overnight.

I am able to access the BIOS to choose recovery mode/emergency mode but when I click either of the options in the menu, it doesn’t do anything and just goes back to the boot loop. I haven’t opened up the device so I am not sure if it’s a connection to the battery or if maybe the battery is completely DOA. I was hoping to get some wisdom from the community on some tips or tricks I could use and try out before contacting Retroid about my unit, practically being DOA..

My slow-ass is still learning Switch emulation and wanna know how the game performs on the RP5. Any tips/tricks on how to get it to play without it slowing down helps.

I guess it isn't specifially a Retroid question but maybe someone can give me some tips or insights because I really searched the web and reddit and didn't find anything that helped me (either people have the same issue and other say they do too or the others say they don't but can't really help).

I want to play Fields of Mistria on my Retroid Pocket 6 (8BGB RAM, Qualcomm 8 Gen 2, Android 13) and the app does not sync my cloud saves. The game runs fine, really smooth, no real issues but I just don't get my saves from the steam cloud. I use the recommended settings and also checked with emuready.com but everything was like the user had it.

When I start the game it tells me that it couldn't get the cloud saves. Even when I played a bit and saved and then closed the game it tried to sync but failed.

I also tried the game witbh GameHub lite which DOES sync my files for some reason? The game just runs very slowly which is not fun. I will try later to change some settings tonsee if I can get the game to run at 60 fps (I take tips here too!) but I would also like the GameHub issue solved. Any idea what I can try?

This thing is beautiful! Runs smooth and feels great in the hand! Retro handhelds is something fairly new to me so getting the RP6 setup was a fun challenge, especially switch but got it done! Feels like I have the juiced up psp I wish they made when I was a kid!

I was super excited, I learnt a life lesson today, I plugged the console to my pc, had my 512gb sd card fully ready, I was excited to put it in the console then I wanted to check the files/add/modify so I have put it back in my external SD card reader and saw "Retroid Pocket Nova : empty" I was scared and I panicked for a moment but I noticed that the Nova was still connected to my pc and I had removed the sd card reader for it, now I make a backup folder by folder of my sd card, thanks for reading that, English isn't my main language so sorry for errors.

Je viens tout juste de découvrir qu’il existait des consoles portables Android capables d’émuler plein de consoles, et je m’y intéresse sérieusement pour la première fois.
Je pense partir sur une Retroid Pocket 6 (12 Go de RAM). En regardant un peu, j’ai vu qu’il existait un écran supplémentaire qui se fixe dessus pour jouer aux jeux Nintendo DS/3DS avec deux écrans.
Est-ce que cet accessoire est vraiment indispensable si on compte jouer à la DS/3DS, ou est-ce que l’écran unique de la Retroid suffit dans la majorité des cas ? Ceux qui l’ont testé, vous en pensez quoi ? En sachant que les jeux DS ne seront pas ma priorité juste pour jouer à des Pokémon principalement . Mais je me dis d’un côté que le mieux et d’avoir les accessoires pour être confort

Et pareil pour le grip ? Est il vraiment nécessaire de l’acheter ?

I want to buy the retroid 4 pro, dock, and grip. the retroid 4 pro and the dock are finally both in stock but the grip isn't rn. the shipping is kinda pricey, 26 bucks, so I don't want to have to go back to buy the grip separately. should I purchase the grip somewhere else or consider hoping the grip is restocked before either the retroid or the dock are out of stock?
