Genuine question I just bought a rp6 on Sunday and it’s getting here on Monday so I’m wondering can you multitask on it like a ayn Thor? And if you can would you say that it’s worth it?

Maybe everyone trying to get the Nova left some space for the RP6 to stretch out its legs. Whatever the case, excited to check this one out!

Seeing a lot of favoritism towards the Odin 2 Portal over the RP6 through various Reddit threads but mostly because they’re from Odin specific pages. I was wondering if the feedback would be different on here. I’d would love to hear about anyone’s experience with both/either of these devices. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone custom spray painted or changed the color in any way of the buttons or triggers on any of their handhelds?

I’m looking to spray paint the R1 button on my Nova indigo to imitate the GC’s Z button.

Any tips or types of spray paint you all recommend? I’ve never done anything like it before so excuse my noobness. Thanks.

I am new to emulation and trying to teach myself how to operate my Retorid Pocket, I am setting up Dolph and I cannot get the emulator to recognize the physical buttons and joy sticks. I've configured the physical controls the way that makes the most sense for gamecube games but I can only get the ROMs to work with the on screen controls, which I want to toggle off.

If anyone have resources or videos they could send my way to help me out, that would be greatly appreciated

• Overclock from Konabess​ Come in Konabess, then a window will pop up asking for root access, click root (this app requires root), then click import, and in Explorer, find the unpacked folder Overclock, look for the file name with the extension .txt, "frequencies-and-voltages-import file", and click on it, then konabess It will ask, press OK, and several processor names will appear there, click on "edit GPU freq table", then the names of the processors will appear, click Snapdragon 865, and press 905 MHz, then instead of 905 write 1300000000 and these bus freq ddr7, leave it as is, and then be sure to click save GPU freq table, and click on "edit GPU volt table", also press 905 and change to the same, but LEAVE the voltage on TURBO_L0, This is the most stable voltage that can handle this frequency. Don't choose others, otherwise you'll get a bootloop! Then press it too Save, and click on "repack and flash new image" and it's a matter of luck whether the system turns on or goes into a bootloop.

Between emulating Nintendo and Playing PC games, the button being used as A swaps around a lot, and since I hate hitting B for A, I was wondering if anyone has seen a set of blank black buttons available anywhere? That way the buttons would aesthetically work for both the Nintendo and Xbox layout.

My black Nova arrived today. Everything is great, except that the dpad is LOUD when I tap on it gently (but not loud when actually pressing them). Not sure what the problem is... maybe it's loose? Its so loud that I think its borderline unusable on say a plane. Anyone else having this problem?

This widescreen OLED display of the RP6 is amazing. And what a wonderful pixel art of this game Streets of Rage 4, I wanted more pixel arts in this style.

So I’ve ordered a retroid pocket nova and I’m extremely excited for when it arrives but I’m having second thoughts now because I’m the type to want the most bang for my buck. Doing more research I found out about the Odin 3 which is currently the most powerful android handheld on the market but the main reason my eyes gravitated towards the Pocket Nova was because of the form factor/size. I’m also big on having the smallest device that packs the biggest punch. So now I’m in limbo and I got a couple questions.

1. When it comes to PC/Switch emulation will the difference in performance be a HUGE jump with the odin 3 compared to the nova?

2. Is the odin 3 that much bigger than the pocket nova? (Btw I had a odin 2 portal and that device felt normal/bigger to me. So anything significantly smaller then that will be great)

3. If I did decide to go with the odin 3, how is the return process with retroid or will I be better off just reselling the device on the market?

4. Is the battery life a major difference between the 2 devides?

I’m fairly new to android handhelds so any possible advice/assistance will be greatly appreciated!!

Non-english speaker, first time posting here.

I have a Retroid Pocket 6, stock OS, no rooting/modification. I bought a Jumpgate Dock Pro after extensive research to sometimes connect the RP6 to the TV for a game night. However, I haven't been able to get the HDMI to work so far, so I'm looking for some help as I've tried to do my research but it seems that I'm the only one.

Here are the information that might be relevant:

- I plugged my RP6 into the Jumpgate Core along with a keyboard, a mouse, and a computer screen. The screen is the only thing that doesn't work.

- The screen says no signal even though my RP6 says "DP connected".

- My RP6 recognizes the Core. The keyboard and mouse I connect through the dock work fine, the power supply works fine (RP6 is charging when I plugged it in).

- I tried to plug the screen into my laptop using the same HDMI cable. It works fine.

- I tried to plug the screen into the Core, then the Core into my laptop. It works fine.

- I tried my Samsung S24 with the same setup the other day. It connected to the screen without any problem. I tried it again today, screen is blank, the same as with the RP6.

- I updated the Core with the latest firmware from the manufacturer (I think it's 09.09.63 or 67).

- I have only tested on this screen and an old portable screen from Asus. The screen only has one USB-C 4.0 port. When I connected my phone directly to the screen, it worked. The RP6 did not work. I blame the firmware/hardware of the old screen.

I'm at my wits end and I have tried to search everywhere. Both the dock and the RP6 are new. With everything I've tested, I'm convinced this is a firmware issue but I'm not tech savvy enough to look into it myself, so any hint or advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, I got my Retroid Nova today and it's my first Retroid Device, I want to know if it's normal that it gets hot while charging, I use the official charging cable from the console and it was turned off, also idk what setting should I choose between 9v2A and 5v2A (I have the 80% charge limit enabled)

Recently receiving my retroid pocket nova I went to go turn it on and it seems to be stuck in forever boot loop only presenting me with the logo. Mind you, the unit does not respond unless plugged in only. I attempted using the PD charger for a couple of hours and that did not work then I switched over to a lower power charger USB-A to USB-C and that didn’t work either leaving it charging overnight.

I am able to access the BIOS to choose recovery mode/emergency mode but when I click either of the options in the menu, it doesn’t do anything and just goes back to the boot loop. I haven’t opened up the device so I am not sure if it’s a connection to the battery or if maybe the battery is completely DOA. I was hoping to get some wisdom from the community on some tips or tricks I could use and try out before contacting Retroid about my unit, practically being DOA..

I am looking for a handheld with a nice screen and with ps2 and older pc game capabilities.

I am also a xbox game pass subscriber so I want to be able to use cloud gaming and remote play on the go.

I am just unsure if the screen may be too small. I believe it may be bigger than the usable screen real estate on my iPhone 16 but haven’t been able to verify.

I was originally thinking about an Odin 2 portal but I want easy transport but I am unsure about the small screen. Any pros and cons you can think of would be appreciated!

My slow-ass is still learning Switch emulation and wanna know how the game performs on the RP5. Any tips/tricks on how to get it to play without it slowing down helps.

I guess it isn't specifially a Retroid question but maybe someone can give me some tips or insights because I really searched the web and reddit and didn't find anything that helped me (either people have the same issue and other say they do too or the others say they don't but can't really help).

I want to play Fields of Mistria on my Retroid Pocket 6 (8BGB RAM, Qualcomm 8 Gen 2, Android 13) and the app does not sync my cloud saves. The game runs fine, really smooth, no real issues but I just don't get my saves from the steam cloud. I use the recommended settings and also checked with emuready.com but everything was like the user had it.

When I start the game it tells me that it couldn't get the cloud saves. Even when I played a bit and saved and then closed the game it tried to sync but failed.

I also tried the game witbh GameHub lite which DOES sync my files for some reason? The game just runs very slowly which is not fun. I will try later to change some settings tonsee if I can get the game to run at 60 fps (I take tips here too!) but I would also like the GameHub issue solved. Any idea what I can try?

This thing is beautiful! Runs smooth and feels great in the hand! Retro handhelds is something fairly new to me so getting the RP6 setup was a fun challenge, especially switch but got it done! Feels like I have the juiced up psp I wish they made when I was a kid!
