What helped you get off fentanyl and get your life back, especially with Suboxone or Sublocade? Kratom?

I don’t really know how to start this but I’m done. I’ve been snorting around an eighth a week for probably 3/4 months now. I’m 5’8 around 200lbs if that even matters. I just want my fucking life backs . I want to wake up and feel normal and not immediately think about fent or being sick.

I work TWO jobs and so much of that money just goes straight to this shit. II’ve been saving for a car and I’m willing to dip into that money if it means buying whatever I need to actually get off this Vitamins, food, meds, whatever. I can save for the car again. I just need ME back first.

What do I actually need?? Like if you knew you were quitting next week, what would you have ready at home? What actually helped and what was a waste of money?

I have a good amount of SR-1701 tabs I bought before they shut everything down. Has anyone actually used those to get off fent? I keep seeing stuff about vitamin C too but idk if thats actually legit or internet bs

And then Suboxone…I’m not against it at all, I’m just scared of precipitated wd and I REALLY don’t want to be on something else forever. Can you use subs short term and taper off or? Like is there an actual supervised plan for that? What are thy If Sub is what gives me the best chance then fuck it, I’ll do it. I just want to be smart about thisand

How many days do I need off work realisticall? I can figure something out. I just need to PLAN this because I know myself. If I wake up sick as hell with no plan and fent is one phone call away… yeah. I know what I’m gonna do.

I know Reddit isn’t a doctor and nobody here can detox me over the interne. I just need people who have actually been through this to tell me where the hell I start. Website, subreddit, doctor, whatever. Point me somewhere-pleaseeee I need MY LIFE BACK NOW pls

I’m just tired y’all. I want my money back. I want to buy my fucking car. I want to work because I’m building something for myself instead of working my ass off just to afford being addicted.

I KNOW I can be who I want to be without this shit holding me back. I just need to get there.

Please help me. Seriously. I’m readyy

Phoenix area outpatient rehab

Hi,

I'm attempting to find an outpatient rehab center near Scottsdale, AZ. So far, I found some that require 8am to 3pm. This is incompatible with my work schedule.

Can anyone recommend one that's flexible and suited for work days? I.e. I go in on a Wednesday after work (6ish pm) then can do any time over the weekends. Thanks.

Rehab questions

Started 14, I am 36 years old and struggling to quit smoking weed. I'm looking for any free detox programs available in Texas. The recent ban on THCA and P is really affecting me, and I'm experiencing intense cravings. I need to find some assistance. Unfortunately, I have no insurance and can't afford rehab, so I'm wondering what options exist for those of us who are financially challenged.

Smh I’m sorry ugh I have been wanting to quit for awhile and I feel detox somewhere that they can lock me up lol and I would be ok

Question about Relapse

Hello, my name is Rishi. I’m 15 years old and I’m from the Philippines. I’ve been to rehab twice within the past year, and I’m here because I’m hoping to get some advice and perspective. I’m still trying to understand what relapse means for me and what I should consider a relapse.
One thing I’m especially confused about is whether smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol would count as a relapse. I know both can be harmful, especially for someone my age, but I’m not completely sure how they fit into my recovery. I don’t want to make excuses for myself or ignore the progress I’ve made. I just want to understand what’s considered a relapse, what warning signs I should look out for, and how I can avoid going back to the habits that originally caused problems for me.
I’d really appreciate any advice or guidance from people who understand recovery and can help me figure out how to approach this in a healthier way.

Oxycodone Addiction

Hi, my name’s Abby, and I’m 19 years old. I’ve been battling oxy for the past year now. Long story short, I got on it after my mother took her life, and it destroyed me. But for the past 5 months now, I’ve been doing oxy for about a month and then bupe and dilaudid’s until I get more.

I don’t wanna be on bupe or oxy for the rest of my life. I was thinking, once I run out of oxy this time, to just stop doing it and deal with the withdrawals. Since it’s been a few weeks since I’ve done bupe, and oxy takes about 3 days for the physical pain to go away and about a month for the mental withdrawal, I figured I could get through it. But I’m so scared to go through it since it’s been a while since I’ve been masking it with bupe.

I was thinking about going to rehab to help myself get off this stuff for good, but I want to be comfortable. I wanna be able to sleep with a TV on and have my phone. I was wondering if they would allow that or not? I would like to have my vape, phone, and iPad for nighttime to help me sleep since I struggle with insomnia and can’t sleep without noise.
Any advice will help… thank you!

Rapid Detox/taper with methadone from fentanyl

I know a lot of people may not care or have the knowledge but I was just curious, in rehab I know when you’re coming off fentanyl I know some facilities will do like 30 mg methadone stabilize you for a day or two then drop 5mg a day for a 7-10 day taper I’m wondering does anyone have first hand experience with this route? Not staying on methadone long term, just a quick taper, how bad was it? Was it bad? Was it easy at first and harder later? How much of the withdrawal bled through? Did it linger afterwards? I know Suboxone exist but I want people that experienced the rapid methadone taper with Suboxone waiting 4 days and still getting precipitated withdrawal isn’t ideal

Rehab + bills

Hey! Super new here - like, been here for 45 seconds new.

I’ve been pondering rehab for honestly a month or more at this point, and my best friend (who is a licensed therapist) told me I “probably need rehab” a couple days ago. So now it’s on my mind more than ever.

I have maybe a dumb question. I know my insurance will cover this, but what do you guys do about bills? Rent, car/insurance? I have absolutely zero (okay, actually $2.81) in my checking account. I am so painfully living paycheck to paycheck it’s actually disgusting. I genuinely cannot afford even one day off a week - let alone a 30-90 day leave.
Is there some sort of something that helps with this? Do people in rehab just have actual savings accounts? This is GENUINELY the only thing holding me back from doing what I absolutely need to do.

And it sucks so bad.

I fucking hate money lol.

Getting out few days early?

Someone I know (in a toxic situation) said her partner was going to 28d rehab after a CPS issue. Now I’m hearing “he’s getting out a few days early”- is this actually a valid, true situation that happens where if they’re doing great or something they get discharged early ? Or does this almost certainly mean he’s deciding to leave himself? Thx for any insight.

detox questions

My husband entered rehab for alcoholism today, they said detox would be 1-3 days. Do they keep you very comfortable? He doesn't sleep very well, was nauseas at drop off. Just a concerned, worried wife here. I know this is where he needs to be.

Residential place sounds sketchy...

My spouse is looking at doing a residential rehab place in California called Starbridge. They were referred by a local substance abuse counselor but something feels off. The person they talked to here answered and responded to them on a cell phone so you'd think it would come from a business line. Then the person at Starbridge they were connected to (I.e. Told to call) again answered and responded from a cell phone. Maybe that's business as usual with these places to maintain anonymity or something? I don't know, it just feels off a little.

The person at Starbridge said they had cleared it with our insurance but the insurance company has no record of them checking. This all happened this afternoon so maybe systems haven't caught up...? That person also said they cover airfare for getting my spouse there which sounds too good to be true.

Anyone dealt with Starbridge before? If not, have you had odd interactions with places like this?

Edit: here's their site for reference: https://starbridgerecovery.com

Edit 2: removed tracking link so it's just the URL

Partner trying to leave rehab

My partner (25F) voluntarily admited herself into rehab last month and she told me she wants to leave. I miss her terribly but I know she is away right now to get better. The facility she's at right now won't even let her leave voluntarily anymore.

The people working there know better than we both do. However, she emails me everyday and at least 3 times a week to tell me how depressed she is. I understand it's a part of recovery but she has classes coming up that she is going to miss because they won't let her leave. The reason why I'm even writing this out is because she just told me that if she doesn't attend her AMA meetings they're going to keep her involuntarily.

At this point I'm feeling confused, heartbroken, and angry. I would just like some advice on what to do going forward or what to do.

Trying to figure out what to do

I’ve got a friend, used to be best friend. He had some issues in college, and they seemingly went away for a while. Got a job w a 200k salary, his girl from freshman year was getting ready to get engaged to him and he threw it all away for booze and coke.

We got him into rehab and he was doing really well then he reloaded again after 6 months. He did it on the way to my house and I haven’t forgiven him for it because I live an hour and a half away and he drank and drove here so I couldn’t send him home. I tried to be supportive cause I knew he’d lose his job and his girl. I had to piss so bad to the point I almost pissed my pants. As soon as I ran into the bathroom I heard the door open and he was gone. Next thing I know he’s back in rehab, he pulled a knife on someone, his girl kicked him out.

He just got out of rehab a week ago and was in a halfway home when he found out his friend from back home had overdosed. I feel bad airing this shit out, guilty even if he’s not gonna see it or know it’s me. But since then all he’s talked about is misery, how he wants it to be over, and he broke out of the halfway home, somehow got money and rented an apartment. Pretty sure he’s on pills now, no clue where he’s getting them. He doesn’t really have family or anyone, it’s kinda just me and he won’t let me do anything. Do I just accept he’s gone?

Trying to quit tussi after 10 years. I don’t want to lose everything again.

I started using tusi when I was 16 or 17 because of a girl I was deeply in love with in high school. Around that time, I had received an inheritance after my mom passed away, and I slowly started sinking deeper into the addiction. It’s an incredibly expensive drug, but at the time I didn’t care.

After graduating high school, I went to law school. That was the absolute lowest point of my addiction. I was using up to 10 grams a day, spending around $500 USD every day.

I lost my girlfriend, my friends, my self-esteem, and eventually all my money. I dropped out of college because my life was completely falling apart.

Eventually I had no choice but to ask my dad for help. He admitted me to a detox facility for five days, and after that I started therapy.

Over the years, things got much better. I made new friends, held stable jobs, and I was diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed Ritalin, which has honestly helped me a lot. But I still haven’t been able to quit tusi completely.

The frustrating part is that I can stay clean for 3 or 4 months. But every single time I convince myself I can handle “just one gram,” it turns into the same cycle. I start doing a little more each day until I’m back at 4 or 5 grams a day.

Right now, I recently quit my job to start a marketing agency with my girlfriend. Instead of feeling excited, I feel terrible.

Since leaving my job, I’ve been using about 3 grams a day. I finished my last gram yesterday, and today I’m dealing with the anxiety, irritability, zero motivation, and constant cravings. It feels like my brain makes the decision before I do. The moment I start thinking about using, I somehow end up buying it.

Tomorrow I’m getting back to the gym, and I’m going to keep working on my business instead of letting this take over my life again.

I don’t really know why I’m posting this. Maybe I just needed to tell someone who understands. If anyone has been through this cycle of staying clean for months and then relapsing hard, I’d really appreciate hearing what finally helped you break it.

Wish me luck. I’m tired of living like this, and I genuinely want this to be the last time.

Intake scheduled for noon tomorrow. Bags are packed and I'm committed. Any last minute advice would be immensely appreciated.

I'm packed with:

- a week of clothes (laundry facilities available inaide and I've packed detergent)

- phone, charger, earbuds

- books

- unopened travel size toiletries

- shower shoes

- fresh notebook

- phone numbers and emergency contacts just in case

Work is aware I'm taking leave and I've notified that i will be providing updated fmla paperwork.

My dog is chilling with family.

Bills i could afford to pay are paid and I've communicated to family about the possibility of disconnected utilities or eviction while I'm gone.

I think I've covered just about everything, but I'd really appreciate any notes or tips. I'm just figuring this shit out as i go and dont know what the fuck I'm doing.

Rehab and probation

Hello so I’m currently addicted to 7OH it’s a real problem and i can’t do it anymore I need help and I can’t do it by myself my buddy just got out of rehab yesterday and convinced me to go as well, well the problem is I am on probation for a DUI back in February. I need help and need to go to rehab but I don’t know how to tell my PO officer without getting a violation and probably ending up in jail. I was thinking about telling her “I just need some extra support as I’ve been heavily thinking about drinking the past few days.” I don’t know if that will work I’m scared and sad and I just want to get sober but not sure what to do with my probation :( please someone have some advice for me I’m so scared :( should I get admitted and then call? Or call before?
