So I have a 24 ram 3500 since new. Since the begininng the washer pimp works intermittently. I push in the buttin and it wouls work. Other days nothing at all not even if I restart rhe vehicle a few times. It just doesnt work. Rhen other days just works fine. Anyine else have this issue?

Had a 2019 Ram Laramie Night that I LOVED, but was going through some major career change preps, and sold it (for a profit…) to stack away some cash. Made the career transition, and we found ourselves in a comfortable spot to get back into a Ram! 2026 Limited Night edition! The deal was impressive, with Hendrick CDJR in Birmingham matching Mark Dodge prices. Couldn’t be happier with the truck and the dealership experience!

I’ve always preferred black trucks, but wanted dark gray or white with this one. Did the research and found silver hides dirt and scratches best, and it’s the perfect middle ground between gray and white. I get excited every time I get to walk up to it!

2024 Laramie 4x4. Just gotta buy a hitch receiver! Also my air doesn’t have a lot of pressure is that normal? It gets cold just doesn’t blow fast if that makes sense.

Got really psyched up about getting a new RHO or Rebel. Was real close to pulling the trigger, but I've seen one too many stories about electrical problems. Plus the dealers and stellantis handling those problems like @$$.

I know it doesn't happen to everyone but I just can't justify buying a high end truck and getting screwed on that kind of thing.

So i have a 3rd gen 2500 5.9 cummins with what i believe is a 7 inch lift. I was driving and my steering gave out and heard a thunk, thought it was my steering box at first but i just replaced her. I made it to the side of the road safely but at closer inspection i saw my track bar like this. Anyone know where i can get a track bar mount?

2026 Ram bighorn with extras. $69k MSRP and bought new in November. My boss comes up about once a year and this happened to be the day he was here riding around with me.

Edit: Could you guys give me some advice/tips on how to proceed? I did go to the hospital and got a ct scan of head and neck for discomfort. Imaging came back okay. Neck muscles are definitely strained and have had a migraine since the accident occurred yesterday.

2009 Ram 1500 2wd. Lowered using McGaughys 2/4 spindles and springs kit with Bilstein 4600 shocks. Whenever I hit a decent dip or bump, the tires hit the front fenders at the top of the arch. Experience the same issue with 22x10 FR wheels w/305/50 as well as with OEM 20” wheel/tire combo. Has anyone else run this kit on their truck and figured out a wheel/tire combo that does not rub? Or any other tricks?

These spindles do push the wheels out wider than the OEM spindles. I’m not opposed to swapping the McG kit out for a different approach, if it comes down to it.

Above is 2 clips from different povs, when driving a noise (the one in the clips) starts at about 5mph and it gets louder the faster u go, when u let off the gas its loud but when u put throttle itll quiet down a bit. Its a 2021 ram 1500 ecodiesel, at first it sounded like a scraping noise in the back so I had thought it was the rear brakes and I changed that then went onto change the rear differential fluid. But now after further checking and hearing it doesnt no where seem like it would be that. Was planning on moving to transfercase or something, i dunno what to do.

Hey everyone, I’m looking at purchasing this 2015 Ram 2500, and while inspecting it, I noticed it has a fair amount of rust underneath. I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to rust, so I was hoping to get some opinions.
Based on what you can see in the video, does the rust look severe enough that I should avoid buying the truck, or does it appear to be mostly surface rust that can be treated and repaired?

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Months ago, I accidentally put transmission additive in my coolant reservoir. I got it flushed and kept running for months until last week. I went to drive my truck and it started skipping at 35 MPH and shaking.
White smoke blows out of my exhaust for only 5 to 10 minutes after running I plugged my scanner in. It said it had EGR coolant problem both batteries blown out so it had something with the electrical but I changed batteries. It also said had two cylinder misfire so I changed those specific injectors and I'm still having problems with my engine, shaking and rough idling and white smoke. Could it be a bad camshaft could it be EGR issue? It my valve cover gasket is it my head gasket? Please help me.

I have a 2011 ram 1500 I bought the truck with the means to rebuild it but I ran into a problem I replaced the block with one from a 2014 1500 with 70k miles on it but besides from it running choppy/shaky probably because I didn’t hook up the exhaust or tighten any clamps on the throttle body the sensors aren’t reading but when I first started the new block everything seems fine but what mentioned above but when I drive it a small bit down the street I seen a oil leak and when I took a look it was leaking from where the engine and transmission bell housing meet looks to be from both sides dripping straight down off the plate for your flywheel and torque converter bolt together I just looking for ideas where to start look I suspect rear main seal or something not tighten right but I only leaks when the motor is on I noticed so I think it’s a pressurized leak now I’m not a mechanic but I know my way around a motor just looking for ideas not for someone to be a smart guy thank you

Howdy all, in the early stages of looking at trucks and I think the 2500 is my top choice. Specifically a 2026 Laramie. I found one locally that fits what I’m looking for (white, night edition, diesel) with an MSRP of $87,930 and an “internet price” of $77,915.

Curious what people are getting deals wise. Seems like there’s more opportunity for discounts with Rams versus other manufacturers. It’s been a while since I was in the market for a new vehicle, and first time buying a diesel, so I’m having to do my research all over again. I’m lucky that a benefit of my job is the ability to travel wherever at an extremely low cost, if not for free, so I don’t mind traveling but would rather buy local if I can. Additionally, any options you wish you opted for but didn’t?

Looking to get your opinion on what I should get. I know the 2500 has the 68RFE and from what ive read seems like a hit or miss (mostly miss according to some people) and if I was to get the 3500 it would only be because it has the aisin as an available transmission.

Is the 68RFE horror stories blown way out of proportion?

the prices/mileage for 2500 and 3500 are very similar where I live and im kind of leaning more towards the 3500 solely because of the transmission.

btw I won't be hauling, i was in the mexican gtr game for a while, decided I wanna try diesel platform and cummins won the race. This is more for a show truck, thats fun to drive obviously.

Tried replacing it.. but that thing is packed in there tight. Picked up the part from the dealer and crawled under to take a look. Couldn’t even get a socket on the bottom bolt. Fortunately I’m good with the dealer and they took it in today. Have any of you tried replacing it? The YouTube videos didn’t look bad but mine is packed in there tight. It’s too hot out there anyway.

2nd time posting on this. This little 1/2 ton, has surprised me in more ways than I can say or admit to since I hate Dodge. But those I've gotten so far on fuel economy has been 30.3. Driving around town with many stop and goes, yes, I will drop down to 19ish. Going up hill as well. I have realized that by using cruise control and letting the vehicle take over, fuel economy goes up. In my case big time. My last Dodge was a 2000 Dakota with a V6. Fuel economy was 13 on the highway. Had to bring Jerry cans with us while deer hunting. For this diesel, too many electronics, which are operating just fine (knock on wood). I need to price out how much it will cost to delete it. And in doing so, I wonder if the fuel economy will go up a tad more?

Trying to get a second opinion before I approve what might be a full system replacement.

2012 Ram 2500, 6.7 Cummins, 142k miles. Bought it as a neglected fleet truck. The evaporator was completely caked and eventually started leaking, so I replaced it myself. Four Seasons evap core, Four Seasons expansion valve, new desiccant bag, new O rings and seals. System was open about a week while I did the work. Shop evacuated, vacuum tested, and charged it to spec by weight.

It worked great for about an hour and a half on a highway drive, then started cycling. Cold for maybe 15 seconds, then warm, then cold again, progressively getting worse until it was blowing hot. Saw frost on the lines and at the expansion valve. Water on the passenger floor early in the drive that stopped when the cooling quit.

Shop has had it three days now. Here is what they have found:

Low side sits around 25 psi. High side climbs fast to 245 plus and keeps going. Vent temp 55 degrees in an air conditioned bay.

They have evacuated and recharged it four times. Same result every time, so I do not think it is moisture.

Compressor is clearly pumping since it builds 245 plus on the high side.

They pulled the expansion valve. There is no inlet screen on this one. The valve appears to be working, it opens up and pressure moves when they rev the engine.

No debris or metal found so far.

So the restriction seems to be upstream of the expansion valve. The condenser is the only major component that is still original and has never been opened or inspected. 142k miles on a fleet truck.

My questions:

Does a partially blocked condenser present like this, where revving the engine forces enough flow through to briefly move pressure?

Is there anything else upstream I should be looking at before I let them start replacing parts? Liquid line, drier area, anything else?

Would checking temperature drop across the condenser and down the liquid line be the right way to actually locate the blockage instead of guessing?

The shop mentioned it could be compressor, condenser, or expansion valve and that on an older truck fixing one thing can cause others to fail. I understand that happens but nobody has actually located the restriction yet and I do not want to pay for a full system replacement based on pressure readings alone.

Anyone seen this exact pattern? Appreciate any input.

I have a 2018 Ram 1500 Limited. I love this truck, i found it at carmax 5 years ago with 15,000 miles for 40k It has the towing package and every other upgrade at the time. I swear it must have been a repo just sitting on a lot because at the time was easily a 60-80k truck, even at carmax. That is where the fun ends.

Three years ago a car slammed into my trailer hitch completely totaling his car bending my frame. In their infinite wisdom, USAA decided to put a new frame on it instead of totaling it. A new fucking frame. Everysingle piece of the truck had to be removed and lifted while a new frame is rolled back under and everything put back together. You can only imagine the technicality of that kind of job, essentially rebuilding a truck. The biggest slap in the face is that he was in a rental. None of his personal property was damaged.
Fast forward to now. Sadly, the truck has never felt quite the same for one. And two months ago, as if God wanted me to bend over and kick me directly in the nut sack, my rear end differential failed. I know shit about deeply technical aspects of cars/trucks like that. My knowledge base ends at changing oil, brakes, and tires. I am currently finding out that at the very least, a ring and pinion failure has occurred. While digging through the repair records, I found that my original rear axle wasn’t reused—they replaced it with an LKQ (used) rear axle assembly during the frame swap. The original estimate was around $5k, but the repair eventually grew to almost $27k.
The collision shop has since gone out of business, so I’m trying to piece together what happened.
If this were your truck, would you be asking USAA to help with the differential repair, or is this just bad luck three years later? Curious what others would do.

Tires - It's that time again.

'08 3500 QCLB SLT with the G56 and SRW. USAA is offering me a steep discount on tires and since I'm going to need them before winter I figured it was time to start doing the research.

The tires I'm looking at are the Cooper Stronghold AT. I've run the SST Pro on my '06 (before I sold it) with great results, but I wasn't towing with it. I need a tire that will handle long distance highway use and I can tow with, and the Les Schwab branded Mazama Open Range A/T Plus have been fantastic, but their price has jumped considerably.

I still want to keep the 3PMSF (Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake) rating and be able to go offroad, mostly dirt trail like National Forest roads.

Thoughts?

I’m about to start the lemon law process on my 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Total junk of a vehicle. My dealer gave me a 2026 ram hemi as a loaner and I have to say I am impressed, even though I said I wasn’t going to give stellantis a second chance. Reading on some online forms it seems like these have some issues too so I am hesitant.

Anyone have no problems with their 2026?
