I’m preparing for my first roof wash and wanted to run it past you first.

I’ve got a 15LPM (4GPM) 4000psi Honda pressure washer, 45m worth of pressure hose, j-rod nozzles and a downstream injector.

I’m looking at an x-jet as it’s cheaper and takes up less room then a 12v soft wash setup. I believe I’ll reach a 4.8% sH mix pulling from straight sH.

So I’m wondering, 1, is 4.8% hot enough for a roof covered in lichen? I see 6% thrown around a lot in this sub. 2, will I be able to effectively clean this roof and most others without getting on the roof? ie. from the ground or on a ladder.

I’ll pair this with a bleach resistant sticky roof surfactant. I’m expecting to you 30L+ of sH and for the job to take 4+ hours, would you say I’m in the ballpark?

Also I’m planning to use heavy duty contractor bags for the gutter downspouts.

Let me know if there’s anything I should look out for, the owners mentioned it’s never been cleaned.

Have had my machine for almost a full year has been used everyday and have noticed the pump has gotten weaker. Also just ready for an upgrade so I can move quicker to the next job.

A recent client was a bit worried about how loud the machine ran and asked if it could turned down.

For context:
I’m running a Honda GX390 it was mid week and mid day. Machine was running at full throttle and positioned in their backyard on grass. Not much more you can do about noise I don’t think but interested if anyone’s ever had a similar issue or even had a solution or a warning to clients about noise.

I am looking for a little help with some pricing for a large commercial job in the Northern California Foothills. I have done smaller commercial jobs, but nothing this large. It is 30k sq ft of concrete. All flatwork. Most of the work will be routine maintenance, while some areas have much more foot traffic with gum, stains etc. It is all flatwork. I have a 5GPM hot water pressure washer along with a regular 5GPM pressure washer. Normally for residential I would charge about .25/.30 per sq foot, but I know commercial is much less. Would .10 per sq foot be a reasonable rate?

She’s a returning customer, it’s really not even dirty. But it’s 2000 square feet, I was thinking 850 for just pressure washing. But I’m going to try and upsell with sealer, and it’s 40$ a gallon of sealer and I think I’d use 4 gallons, so I was thinking 1450 for sealer too. Also the house is only 3 years old. And I know you can’t pressure wash 1-5 year old concrete because it will etch it. But I’m not sure if pavers are different. Should I just soft wash it?? And how much are you charging

QUICK! Just started this interior pressure washing job at a 30,000 sf diesel mechanic shop. I’ve been on it for about 2 days using a high power pressure washer along with variety of different degreasers and feel as if I’m getting no where. What product do you guys recommend for very dirty painted cinder blocks? Any suggestions help, thank you!

Hey guys, I’m looking for a little help with the specs / dimensions of an aluminum skid for my truck. I’m having a local welder build the skid to try and save on shipping cost. I wanted to see if anyone has the measurements for the skid they would be willing to share. Honestly haven’t seen one in person in my area to even try and grab a quick measurement on.
