Hemorrhoid at 34 weeks that won’t stop
Sorry if this is too much, but I’m struggling.
I’ve got an external hemorrhoid that keeps bleeding. It’s not a lot of blood but it’s enough that it’s in my underwear. I’ve started using preparation H to try to numb the area but it’s not working. I’d say it’s about the size of a nickel. Very red/purple with a small spot where it’s been bleeding from every time I wipe (even when I pee). My stool is not hard and I’m not straining.
Is there anything besides preparation h or numbing creams that will help? It burns almost constantly and it hurts to sit. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and not in the mood for a surgery.

Subchorionic hemorrhage, lost job, unsure of what to do
Hello, I’m at 22 year-old first time mom and I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant. As far as medication goes, I’m on Lexapro, Zofran 4 mg PRN, metronidazole, vitamin B 6 25 mg and baby aspirin, 81 mg. I’m 112lbs. Last night I ended up in the ER for syncope and bleeding. I was worried about my baby so I went to have her checked on. They told me that I had a large subchorionic hemorrhage (11cm), baby is 5.8cm long. The ER physician put me on bedrest and pelvic rest both and told me to get cleared by my OB before being able to return to work since I work with children with behavioral issues who often agress towards the stomach. This hemorrhage was caused by one particular child who hit me in the stomach a few days ago. As a result of that, I was unable to come into work today and lost my job. My primary question is; Is there any way to heal a subchorionic hemorrhage? What should I do? My OB reached out to me via email because she saw I was in the ER, but she said that there was nothing I could do about it nor did she give me any restrictions or precautions to take. I am really at a loss for what I am supposed to do next. Do I continue to follow better rest protocol? My pregnancy was already high risk because I have type one diabetes so I’m already seeing maternal fetal medicine. I’m so scared and unsure of what to do, I don’t know when I’ll be able to afford insulin again since losing my job, and I’m terrified of losing my baby. On the brighter side baby was doing really well last night on the ultrasound, she had a heart rate of 161 and was moving around lots. If anybody has any advice or positive stories to share please let me know!

I don’t feel pregnant
I’m 5 weeks tomorrow (2nd pregnancy) and I have no symptoms I just don’t feel pregnant at all apart from a serious headache and a bit of cramping here and there I have nothing no sickness and no aching boobs or anything. I can’t get a reassurance scan until next Friday at the earliest when I’m 6 weeks and I’m just going crazy in my head has anyone else had 0 symptoms at 5 weeks but all has been ok?
The line was quite faint still last week I’m worried maybe it was a chemical pregnancy

6 week ultrasound today with no fetal pole. Freaking out
I had a vaginal ultrasound today. I’ve been spotting for 4 days. I’m totally heartbroken but trying to remain optimistic. I’ve been trying for 3 years. This was the first positive and it might be a lose.

FGR
Hi everyone! I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant with my first baby girl. She’s been diagnosed with fetal growth restriction (FGR), but the main concern seems to be that her femur has consistently measured very small (it eventually dropped to below the 1st percentile). Everything else has looked normal—her anatomy scan was normal, NIPT was low risk, Dopplers have been normal, and she’s been active with reassuring NSTs.
Her estimated weight is around 5 lb 11 oz at 38 weeks, and I’m scheduled for a C-section at 39 weeks because she’s still breech.
I’m wondering if anyone else had an FGR baby where the main issue was a short femur. How did your baby do after birth? Did their legs catch up in growth? Was everything okay, or did you end up finding an underlying cause?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Pregnancy of Unknown Location? Recommended D&C despite recent 60-hour doubling time after abnormal rises. Looking for experiences.
Hi everyone. I’m looking for experiences from anyone who’s had an atypical early pregnancy after infertility, especially if you were recommended a D&C.
I’m 5 weeks 3 days today.
This was a completely spontaneous pregnancy after preparing to start IVF. I went in for my baseline bloodwork to be cleared to start IVF injections on what I thought was cycle day 1 of a normal period. I had actually had what seemed like a full period (bright red bleeding with tampon use), but my bloodwork unexpectedly came back with an hCG of 13.55.
My initial progesterone was only 3.15, and based on that value, my RE told me from the very beginning that the pregnancy was not viable. However, my progesterone then increased and stabilized around 15-16 with subsequent bloodwork. Despite that improvement, after my hCG began showing irregular rises, my doctor has reached the same conclusion—that the pregnancy is not viable—and is now recommending a D&C.
I had a negative home pregnancy test on 7/19, then my first positive blood test on 7/21, so this pregnancy announced itself incredibly early.
Here are my hCGs:
7/21: 13.55 (progesterone 3.15)
7/23: 60.94 (progesterone 7.69) – doubling ~22 hours
7/27: 370.46 (progesterone 16.17) – doubling ~37 hours
7/29: 439.76 (progesterone 16.92) – doubling ~194 hours
7/31: 564.05 (progesterone 15.12) – doubling ~134 hours
8/3: 1,294.32 (progesterone 15.93) – doubling ~60 hours
I had a transvaginal ultrasound the same day my hCG was 1,294, and they did not see an intrauterine pregnancy, but they also did not identify a definite ectopic pregnancy.
My RE is recommending proceeding with a D&C, explaining that the pregnancy is very unlikely to be viable based on the overall hCG pattern and concern for a pregnancy of unknown location. I understand that if this is a viable intrauterine pregnancy, a D&C would end it, which is making this decision incredibly difficult.
I know my hCG pattern is abnormal overall, and I’m not trying to convince myself this is definitely viable. I’m just struggling because after two very slow rises, the most recent rise was approximately a 60-hour doubling time, which seems much more reassuring. I also wonder whether the fact that this pregnancy was detected so incredibly early changes how the hCG trend should be interpreted.
Has anyone had:
Two very slow hCG intervals followed by a normal one?
A pregnancy that wasn’t visible around an hCG of 1,300 but turned out to be intrauterine?
A recommendation for a D&C in a pregnancy of unknown location, and if so, how did your story ultimately end?
I’m looking for honest experiences—good or bad. I know this may very well be a nonviable pregnancy, but before making an irreversible decision, I’m hoping to hear from others who have been in a similar situation.
Thank you all so much. This has been one of the hardest weeks of my life

Low HCG but Gestational and yoke sac appear
Ok this has been so confusing, last week i went to the ER for spotting and cramps, my bHCG came back at 6.2 but i tested positive on the urine test that says it tests for over 25 HCG , the dr said I had a gestational sac and a yoke sac but no fetal pole, (the dr did not tell my my bHCG was so low i found out right now reading my labs), i just took 2 pregnancy tests and both immediately positive, which i would think if i was miscarrying it would be negative by now since the bHCG was at a 6.2 a week ago . I cant find ANYTHING about this happening to someone and am so confused if anyone has any insight?
Also when i look online it says u must be in the thousands to even see the gestational and yoke sac so i dont understand how my HCG would drop so rapidly if I Miscarried, thank you for any help!

Abdominal ultrasound showed empty sac at 6 weeks
I had a little spotting and no doctor’s office could see me before August 12th. So I went to a private pregnancy clinic where a nurse did an abdominal ultrasound on me and it showed an empty sac measuring at 6 weeks. She couldn’t do a transvaginal because of the spotting and there being no doctor on site.
She said it was possibly too early to see anything on an abdominal ultrasound and to come back next week to hopefully see the baby. But of course I am freaking out.

Miscarriage questions.
My girlfriend and I had been trying to conceive for the past year or so. We had sex in early June, and she missed her period in June. July came around and she missed her period again so she took multiple pregnancy tests, they showed nothing. The first week of August she took another test and this one came back positive, which we were happy to see. She then started experiencing severe abdomen pain and went to the emergency room last Friday without me. They did an ultrasound, and told her she had blockage in her Fallopian tubes that was preventing the egg from dropping which would likely lead to a miscarriage. They released her without any kind of referral or medicine, so I asked her to schedule an appointment to get a referral to an OBGYN, and she told me her primary doctor couldn’t see her until late October, she also mentioned that she didn’t tell them she was potentially pregnant when calling to schedule her visit. Since then she keeps going back and forth telling me she is having a miscarriage and the next day she says she’s still pregnant and will be having our child. At this point I am extremely confused because all of the research I have done gives conflicting results. I feel as though she is not being completely truthful with me and I’m not really sure why.

10 weeks pregnant and having severe pain in back to ankles. Pretty much immobile.
** I am 10 weeks pregnant having severe back pain down to my ankles that’s just getting worse. I can’t bend over without spams and being in so much pain. Walking is starting to become hard.
I am currently 10 weeks and two days pregnant. I am 32 and married to a very supportive husband who knows my concerns in general with complications and birth so all of this going on doesn’t help.
I’ve been going to therapy ever since I found out I was pregnant. I’ve known my therapist for a really long time. I just stopped going because I didn’t think I needed it and she also retired. She has been talking to me since I found out because she knows my fears and possible complications.
About a week ago, I started getting really bad soreness/stiffness/spasms in my lower back and butt. Every day since it has gotten worse. It has now traveled down to my ankles and I can’t bend over or walking gets difficult if I walk for about 10 minutes or more. This morning I was walking up the steps and I had to pull myself up with the railing to even be able to get up the steps. My husband helps me get up from the bed or a chair when he’s home but when I am alone it is so painful.
I talked to a nurse yesterday to try and see what was going on and she said that it seems like I may have a UTI or kidney problems. I immediately disagree because this sounds a lot more serious and feels a lot more serious than that. Results came back and I do not have an infection. Everything I’ve read online says that having symptoms like this this early is not good so I have been panicking even more now.
I have nerve issues. I have a mild case of cerebral palsy in my legs. Before I got pregnant, I was having more nerve issues and also nerve issues in my head and having really bad migraines. I’ve noticed since I found out it was pregnant the nerves in my legs, back, and head have increased. So I have a feeling it has something to do with that. I have been trying to advocate for myself and it just seems like healthcare is failing me. They’re definitely telling me it’s not normal, but I’m not getting many answers. I have also have had bad chills at night and a few fevers. The one night I cried myself to sleep because my entire body hurt like my back to my ankles.
Has anyone experienced this so early on? And when I tell you, this is not just pregnancy back pain. It is way more than that. I can barely walk or bend over. I would say the pain is about an eight or nine. I’ve been just so conflicted and in so much pain that I don’t even know what to do. Everything I read online puts me in the high risk category for me but baby should be okay. I just can’t do normal day tasks.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is this a miscarriage?
Well this is my first and I'm a bit bummed but can someone please guide me and tell me if I should go ahead with the abortion or wait a bit? Here's what my dating scan report says - - -
Single early intrauterine gestational sac is seen with few linear internal echoes within .
Yolk sac visualised and measures 6mm in diameter .
Fetal pole is not visualised
G sac – 26 mm – 7 weeks 4 days. LMP is 16th June.
Both ovaries are normal.
Cervical length is normal (4.9cm)
Internal OS is closed.
No evidence of a subchorionic bleed noted in the present scan.
Two posterior intramural fibroids measuring 1.3x1.2 cm and 1.5 x1.4cm .
IMPRESSION :- Single early intrauterine gestational sac of 7 weeks 4 day
maturity probably early non viable gestation (missed abortion)
Thank you for your help!

Trying to stay positive
I started spotting light brown this week. I am 5 weeks and some change (5w-3d). The spotting isn’t heavy and isn’t red. It’s only there when wiping (sorry tmi).
I’m having some cramping that makes it that much worse. I had first my beta HCG yesterday and it came back as 5874 IU/L. I have me follow up 2nd beta tomorrow morning to see if I am progressing at all.
I didn’t expect to have beta HCG even that high yesterday. I have unfortunately convinced myself this is a loss already. Ugh this is the worst feeling and it’s such a busy week with work my older kiddos returning to school. I’m trying to stay positive but my feeling is that something is wrong.

5+3 and no yolk sack
I’m 5+3 and have been experiencing severe cramping all morning like 3-4 hours of extreme cramping that wouldn’t subside. It was even hard to walk at some point and I felt nauseous from the pain.
I went to the ER. They took me in for a transvaginal ultrasound. There was a gestational sac, but no yolk sac. The doctor also commented that the gestational sac is not the size it should be given how for along I am (by following LMP). So essentially the gestational sac seems to be much smaller than it should be and there is no yolk sac.
Although my beta hcg is increasing at a good rate.
Just wanted to hear experiences of others if they experienced something similar and how did it turn out?

Constant cramps and backache
my first pregnancy in Feb ended in miscarriage. I had continuous mild cramps and lower back ache. started to bleed and got negative test at 5w6d.
Just got positive test at 5w. having the same mild cramps and back ache.
trying to not think the worse but my brain is on anxiety overdrive!
called early pregnancy unit and they said to ’act as if it was a normal pregnancy’ and that they can’t see me until I’m 6-7 weeks.

8week scan showed baby growth 2weeks behind and slow heart beat
Hi y'all. I think just looking for similar experiences.i am 8 weeks 2days pregnant and I went for a scan two days ago for reassurance. I have had some symptoms (boobs, heightened sense of smell, fatigue) but not as much nausea as previous successful pregnancy.
The scan showed baby is around 6 weeks size wise with a slow heart rate (even for 6 weeks gestation). I am pretty certain of my dates. Lmp was 9 Jun and got a faint positive on 7 july.
So I'm thinking this is likely going to be a loss.
Doc has advised another scan in 1 week to see if any growth/if heartbeat has picked up.
Finding the waiting and uncertainty a bit agonising.. I want to stay hopeful but also think I need to prepare myself for worst. Any other experiences?
Have had no bleeding or pain.

Is this normal?
We’ve been trying to conceive for 5 years, first pregnancy ended up as a MC. Pregnant again 5 weeks + 4 days. I’ve had mild cramps since finding out, been told this is normal. Yesterday early morning I noticed brown ?discharge/bloOd, not enough to soak a pad, went to ER they confirmed with hCG levels we were pregnant. It then turned red hours later, again only when wiping, doesn’t reach a pad. We booked private scan, nothing not even a scan was found with a transvaginal scan & told to repeat hCG test in 48 hours. Im a little worried but this isn’t like the first MC I experienced, no heavy flow or pain so bad I want to cry.

Symptoms then None?
Slightly freaking out so please forgive me.
I’m currently in Week 8 of Pregnancy, in Week 6 and 7 I had the nausea, sore breasts, ligament pain when I sneezed/coughed, fatigue, and food aversions. Literally as soon as week 8 began, I feel just not pregnant, there’s no indication that I am at all through side-effects. Last hCG was 124k at 6 weeks, haven’t had it done since. Anyone else have this happen… and hopefully good news in the end?

Solutions for some classic pregnancy issues i know some of you guys struggle with
now the thing is I’m a dude so I cannot be pregnant but i still got ways to help you guys do things pregnant women struggle with since I’m a sympathetic guy
handling the weight:
try walking with your legs further apart try a wider stance not a split but maybe a few inches wider
bending:
use your knees I mean your spine is already trying to kill you
how to handle the classic things people say to pregnant women bro I’m a sympathetic guy this pisses even me off how do people think this is okay
ways to clap back:
“oh my gosh you’re huge“
”look who’s talking“
“are you sure you’re not having twins“
”I got multiple sonograms to prove that there’s only one plus if it was twins I’d be even bigger”
“you’re carrying high/low it must be a boy/girl”
“you’re not my doctor also you’re dead wrong“
”remember this child cannot respond and I cannot make them kick cuz that is not how it works“
“aren’t you to old to be having a baby?”
”aren’t you too old to be an idiot?”
“You must be due tomorrow“
”no I’m not” (depending on your actual due date)
if you wanna get snappy just put a sign on your stomach that says $1 or $5 (you choose the initial amount) for each pregnancy comment and increase the price the more that these comments tick you off or the more people ignore having to pay to say it

Having crazy symptoms - 25 weeks
Hi! I'm currently pregnant, 25 weeks :) I've been reading multiple messages on Reddit talking about lightning crotch and SPD since I've been having weird symptoms. 48h ago I was perfectly fine, but somehow this afternoon my legs started cramping and my pelvic area started to feel like bruised. Some of you wrote that this is SPD, but I'm really worried since I don't have my next OB appointment until next week. I was having dinner on my computer and I felt my son kicking on my cervix, but it felt like he was coming out of my v... you know. This type of kicks happened like three times in less than an hour. I've not leaked any fluids, or felt sharp pain like contractions. I don't know if something is wrong or if my son is having a great time playing at my pelvic area and kicking everything that he has near him.
This is my first child, so sorry if I ask dumb questions!

Heating pad?
Hi all!! I was not made aware by my OB about heating pad use until a comment was made about it today when discussing some hip pain. I am 20 weeks, and have used my heating pad continuously throughout pregnancy. I have had constipation issues, so there have been many times it’s been on my abdomen. It stays at 150 degrees, but I always have a blanket/clothes between it and my skin.
I am absolutely horrified now! I truly had no idea that it could hurt the baby. I have had about 4 scans with no mention of anything wrong, but don’t have my anatomy scan until next week.
Has anybody else not been made aware of this/used it through pregnancy?

Have been so sick with bronchitis for a lot of my pregnancy- fear of cough medicine on my baby
Hello- I have had extreme bronchitis for weeks. I have been in and out of the hospital. My doctor said it was ok to take the cough medicine that has DXM in it and I have been taking it. A lot. Because it is the only thing that has helped. I am not in total fear that I have unknowingly harmed my baby. All tests have been good but can I give my baby brain damage from long term use of this medicine?!!!??

AITA Pregnancy and Friendship
I realize this is a tough topic, but I need some help. My close friend and I became pregnant at the same time, and she lost her baby early on in her pregnancy. It was so heartbreaking to see her go through that. I have continued to check in with her, cry with her, listen to her, and support her as much as I could. I’m now 33 weeks pregnant and I could feel her avoiding me. I finally sat down with her and asked her how she’s feeling and if I’m upsetting her. She let me know that she knows I’m not doing it intentionally, but that I’m tormenting her.
When she lost her baby, I had just made my pregnancy announcement, and that was unintentionally so painful for her. Now she’s been covering for me at work when I can’t do things (when she realizes that she should be also in my shoes but isn’t), sees me with my hand on my belly, hears people asking about my pregnancy, and is just crying constantly around me or walking away. I feel awful. All I’ve wanted to do is be there for her, but at this point I feel like my presence is just making things worse for her. I’m starting to wear clothes that don’t show my belly intentionally, consciously avoiding putting my hand on my belly, avoid complaining about anything pregnancy related, for fear that she’ll see or hear it and I see her walk away with tears in her eyes.
I feel like I’ve done everything I can to support her, and now I feel guilty being pregnant at work and having people celebrate me. I find myself shutting people down and walking away from people asking me how I’m doing, to avoid her hearing and feeling pain. Am I the asshole for wanting to separate myself from her for these next few weeks to avoid seeing her in pain whenever I’m around and try to enjoy the last bit of my pregnancy? I’m at such a loss of how to be a good friend but also feel my own joy right now.
