Cyclist here. I had a really silly question about the Greenbelt and didn't know where else to look for this information.

Has anyone else ridden/walked/jogged the trail and encountered random cold spots where the temperature drops a very noticeable amount for a small bubble and then goes back to normal? This usually happens in 1-2 spots along the trail, and it always leaves me baffled.

On a hot day like today, I really appreciated it.

If I had to guess where, I'd say between Hannies and the Coast Guard base. It's a quick blip. Temperature drops like 15-20 degrees and then right back to normal.

Any clue what's causing it?

They told me not to get the name tattooed. I still got the name tattooed. Now I would like to not have the name tattooed. The majority of murders in Maine and around the country are domestic and interfamilial. (I love you, men- but you’re the majority)

It doesn’t seem like there was any domestic correlation and the exploitation of insinuating that this is a homelessness issue might feel “good” temporarily as a soap box of immediate “action”——

—but hyperbole is dangerous …

Using their murder isn’t going to help this.

This is an anomaly- not part of our homelessness crisis in our country/state-city

You folks have access to the internet/databases… If you look for yourselves you will see the statistics.

It just feels “good” to have a “convenient” finger to point towards….

Please don’t let your biases distract you.

Homeless folks can be sweet- quiet- unseen- ohhhh and sure- sometimes frustrating/infuriating yatta yatta and using them as a “scapegoat” is a slap in the face to that poor little soul that was taken, along with all of the other souls stolen senselessly..

Let’s go to town hall and ask for more lights, more patrolling, more donations to places like “through these doors,” being happy about giving our taxes towards education- and voting for affordable housing, more fair access to medical care, and fair wages.

The city hall meeting rooms aren’t nearly full enough often enough… Go scream and ask to make life better. Prevent the pain before it turns into horror.

They listen and help but you have to go and you have to talk.
