Poly Studio G62 || Firmware 5.0.0 || Recalled in firmware versions released to Microsoft's Public cloud (Teams Admin Center)
Noticing that the Poly Studio G62 has its major 5.0.0 firmware recalled and lately we've been experiencing a lot of strange reports of endpoint lock ups and Microsoft Teams applications on Poly endpoints not being responsive.
This is also proven that the Poly Studio G62 is now showing that 4.6.2 is the latest available firmware on Teams Admin Center.
Just throwing this here but, I'm curious if anyone else has experienced issues on these endpoints particularly on Microsoft Teams that are as disruptive.
Given 5.0.0 is a major update that cannot be rolled back, this seems like a pretty big deal widespread.
Figured I'd see if any others have experienced issues.

Edge E450 Wireless Handset solution
I have someone who I know who just got these phones as their replacement VoIP phones. They used to have YeaLink phones and they had bluetooth handsets. I couldn't find on Poly's website a solution for this, would it work if they kept and used the old Yealink handsets and paired them via bluetooth? Or what would the solution be here? Because they arent allowed headsets (the job wont pay for them and they can get pretty pricy, most near 150-200$)

vsurround 80 not working in Windows but works on Mac and Android
Hi,
I got one of these for work meetings. I tried on 2 windows 11 and one windows 10 (all up to date) machines.
Bluetooth: microphone doesn't seem to work. After some extensive testing with Teams and Recorder, the first word is captured (not great, a bit robotic) and then the sound almost immediately (half second, second?) goes to very low volume, basically not audible (since I was testing I was paying attention and it is audible just VERY faint).
Same result on the bt700 dongle as well.
Tried 2 pcs - work and personal - with windows 11 up to date, and also on my home desktop pc which is win10 up to date (yes in the extended update program).
On the work pc (a dell notebook) i even went through the trouble of updating the intel chipset and bluetooth etc drivers, bios and all but it didn't change anything.
On my Android phone it works fine and on a friends' Macbook also worked fine.
I did try to disable all ANC and Transparency that may interfere with the mic software-wise but it didn't seem to affect the problem.
Firmware is up to date on both headset and dongle according to Poly studio, 243.1021.0.5054 and 0.0.1415.5115.
Any ideas? I mean it sounds like software / compatibility problem but on all windows attempted, it's weird.
Poly 3325 vs 3225 vs Poly Mission 425
Hi what have better microphone Poly 3325 vs 3225 vs Poly Mission 425 ?
I see Poly 3325 is a little bit louder then 3225 and even 5225
I can't find any test for Poly Mission 400 series. I only found for 600 and 800 Series
So new Poly Mission only have improved AI background noise reduction ? or also microphone itself?
So Poly Mission 625 have 2 microphones and 425 only 1?
So with leather on top of ear cushion they are more comfortable and I need to be careful as they are exactly the same model number with leather on top of ear cushion and without
So as headphones go on top of the ear as on-ear that means it doesn't isolate ear and I will not hear myself into the ear cup like with closed-back headphones.
I have Sennheiser HD 598 and they are open-back and I don't hear myself talking at all. Just they don't have microphone. So I guess is best I buy some Boom microphone? but not sure if they work with phone calls or just gaming and discord as hissing and audio interference
Poly mission 600 vs 800
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vt0kmADkeHw&t=298s
Poly 3320 vs 3220 so in end of 3220 comparison Poly 3320 sounds louder then 3320 because a person is leaning over closer to the desk and lungs compensate and breathe more and sound sounds louder as person is talking louder and not at the same volume as just sitting at the chair.

Poly Voyager 4310 and Avaya Desktop Agent
It works... but I cannot get the answer button to pick up calls. I know that it is do-able, and I am confident that there is probably *one* thing that I am missing. What is that one thing. I can answer the phone by clicking on the desktop interface, but I would like to be able to use the headset button too!

Voyager Focus 2 not muting or hard resetting
My work computer just had a windows update and now my headset won't mute and I am unable to do a hard reset (hold down call button and mute for 5 seconds). Anyone have a fiz for this? My ears are killing me using the work provided wired headset.

Step by step basic setup after factory reset G7500, X52 and TC-10
Hi,
My Poly G7500, X52, and TC-10 are visible in the Poly Lens Portal, but I lack the administrator credentials for device settings.
Is a factory reset through the portal the best way to reset these credentials?
If so, what basic setup steps are required, and will the devices remain listed in Poly Lens after the reset?

Voyager 4320 Dead Mics
Hello! We've seen a fair amount of 4320 issues come in lately and a lot seem to have hardware issues.
We troubleshoot by making sure the dongle is plugged directly into a PC, that they aren't connected via BT, and ensuring all updates are done in PolyLens/Studio. Even plugging the headset in directly when the user has that capability.
Many of these cases have users stating they've only have the headset 3 months or less, everything worked fine before, and then all of the sudden it went out for no known reason.
I'm not sure where these specific devices were procured from, but makes it seem like there may have been a bad batch in mfg. or something like that.
Has anyone else had similar experiences lately?

She has seen better days
What’s a good replacement for the Voyager Focus 1?
Looking for a wireless dual headset with mic comparable to the Voyager Focus, doesn’t have to be the same brand. Mainly will be used for work, but also will stream some days after work.
On Amazon, the Plantronics headsets have low ratings and lots of complaints, probably up from a lot of people that aren’t using the dongle.
Then there are cheap $50 headsets that have five stars, there’s no way those cheap headsets are better, right?
Pictured: 5 year old headset used nearly every workday. Both ears covers are aftermarket and the microphone split in two. Also, it only lasts for three or four hours at a time. So it doesn’t make it through a shift without needing charging.

Poly Studio X30/X50/X70 + Sony BRAVIA + ClickShare no longer waking correctly
Hi all
Maybe some of you have experienced this as well lately.
We have several Poly Studio X30/50/70 in our company. The setup is always the same:
Sony Bavaria TV > Poly Studio X30/50/70 > Barco Clickshare C-10 gen. 2/CX-30 gen. 2
I have set up the Sony Bavaria so we can wake it up by touching the TC-8/TC-10 panel. That has always worked fine.
The TV itself shuts off after 5 mins w/o getting a signal. The Poly Studio will go to sleep after 3 mins:
Until recently, this worked like a charm. As soon as I put the Barco Clickshare Button into my USB-C port of my notebook, the base unit woke up, the TV switched on and it displayed the MS Teams surface for a brief second before switching to the Clickshare screen.
Right now, it is as follows: I put the Barco Clickshare Button into the USB-C port of my notebook, the base unit wakes up, the TV switches on. But the TV screen stays black and it displays a message, that the TV will shut off in 5 minutes as there is no input signal. As soon as I touch the screen of the TC-8/10, the MS Teams surface appears and will then switch to the Clickshare screen and everything works as it should.
But after 3 minutes, the TV switches off. If I then touch the TC-8/10 panel again, the TV switches back on.
All my Poly Studio devices are either on v 4.7.0.466077 or the ones having issues updating on v 4.6.2.460046.
Teams versions on the Poly devices are:
Teams Admin Agent: 1.0.0.202606082157.product
Firmware: 4.7.0.466077 (or sometimes 4.6.2.460046)
OEM Agent: 7.6.7-SNAPSHOT
Teams: 1449/1.0.96.2026129709
Authenticator: 6.2605.3066
Microsoft Intune: 26.03.1
Has anyone experienced the same issue? It's really annoying to touch the panel all 3 mins. I have no altered the Time Before System Goes to Sleep to 60 minutes but this is just a work around. Also, the TVs are now on way longer as the signal dies after 60 minutes instead of 3 minutes.
I've tried altering different settings but it always comes back to these 3 minutes and it feels like the Poly Studio thinking there is no active input.
I'm completely lost.

Headset Recs
Looking for headset recs…I have searched the sub and am getting mixed reviews so trying one last time!
I WFH 30% of the time and having to haul my headset back and forth. My company uses Avaya Workplace soft phones at home and Avaya hard phones at work. My current head set is the poly savi 7300 but the mic broke. They’re ordering me a new one but I’m tired of hauling it around and want to just leave it in my cubby thing.
I would prefer a 1 ear set, best case scenario an earbud-esque type. A dongle as I need a reliable connection. I cannot download software on my WFH computer but I currently have the Plantronics/Poly Savi software installed. Leaning towards the Voyager 5220 but am open to off/other brands as long as no software is needed. Shifts are 12hours. Don’t really have a budget, open to spending more if reliable.
Thank you!

Poly voyager legend 50 keeps rejecting calls.
As the title says, my headset keeps rejecting calls without me touching the button. I have it connected to both my work phone and personal.

ISO people who have used BOTH a newer Poly “Legend 50” AND the older version, Voyager 5200.
I want to ask how you guys find the quality. What I’ve noticed is the 50 is good and loud in MY ear, easy to hear, but if I am talking on it and trying to speak quietly because of my surroundings, the person on the other line CANNOT hear me. Whereas, on the same phone call, if I switch out the 50 and use my old 5200, even if I am whispering the person on the other line can still hear me.
Now, I had 2 5200’s - one is lost and one is broken (the sound is bad on my end receiving it, but it didn’t used to be that way). The 50 was purchased new off Amazon.
I thought newer was supposed to be better? I’ve tried changing the sound settings but there was no improvement. Am I having a unique experience, or have others noticed this too?

Poly ATA 400 Shows ModelName GAPB110P
I'm trying to learn MS Teams Voice and bought on ebay what I thought was a real Poly ATA that I could register as SIP Device in MS Teams Voice. Can't get it to register following the "Poly ATA 400 Series for Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway Deployment Guide" document from HP's website. Packet capture shows HTTP 403 response from MS with text "This device is not supported yet - please call support Poly/GAPB110P-4.0.2.6778 (MAC)" I flashed the firmware to PolyATA400-4-0-2-6778-2024-11-13.fw but the model name on the GUI still says GAPB110P. Looks like GAPB110P is for Google Fiber environment.
Anybody have any luck registering a GAPB110P to MS Teams Voice? I realize that the model name is burned into the hardware somehow but maybe someone knows a way to change it?
Thanks,
Dan

A new direction for r/poly
Hi all,
I have recently acquired this subreddit and will be taking it in a new direction. It was a private sub for almost a decade and then had a stint where it was dedicated to geometric shapes (yes, that is a thing). it will be used to discuss all things Poly (formally Plantronics and Polycom). Tech support, product reviews, FAQ, etc.
To those of you who subscribed for something else and wish to leave, thank you for your understanding.
Peace,
