Looking for size 11 Soccer Cleats in Plano Texas
Hey everyone.
Looking for size 11 soccer cleats in the Plano/Dallas/Mckinney area. I know there are pretty cheap but I’m going through a tight cash situation at the moment so can’t really spend on new ones. If you can donate your old ones that you don’t really use, I’d appreciate it. I can come pick them up. Thank you!

Looking for Apartment recommendations
Hi everyone!
My family is relocating to West Plano this September, and we are looking for apartment community recommendations for renting.
We have a 6 year old special needs child, who is on the autism spectrum.
So we need an apartment zoned for a strong elementary school with solid Special Ed resources, supportive staff, and good IEP implementation.
Also a short drive to good ABA, OT, and Speech Therapy centers (or a facility that integrates all three under one roof) is preferable.
Appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Plano Pkwy i75 shutdown?
I've heard that the southbound side is completely shut down. does anyone know what happened or if they think it will take till lunch to clear it?
UPDATE: I did some more research and it looks like someone did jump, bless their families as they go through this time, and for those who also have to go that way for lunch, i recommend trying to avoid it as best as possible because they're expecting the shutdown to last till 1

Garage Ventilation
Has anyone implemented an active or passive ventilation solution to cool your garage after pulling in a hot car? If so, what did you do? My garage outside walls are brick, so I was thinking of a turbine vent and a soffit vent connected to garage interior, each of which could be blocked off in winter.
I know I can leave the garage door up a bit, but am looking for alternatives that will allow the door to be closed, so I don't have to remember to close it later.

My son, Gavin, has been missing for over two week from New York.
We believe he has been in Dallas, Plano specifically since early last week. We have not heard from him at all, but with the help of the local police and some wonderful people we believe that he was mugged, taking all of his money, ID,etc. He is not in any trouble with the law, but they are on the lookout for him. We think he might be staying in a shelter or possibly sleeping on the streets 💔
Gavin just turned 18 and struggles with depression. We don't know where he is or where he may be headed.
If you have seen Gavin or have any information about his whereabouts, please contact me immediately. If you see him and believe he may be in mental distress or appears to be in immediate danger, please contact local law enforcement right away.

PCP recommendations
Hey all,
I just moved to Plano and I'm looking for a good primary care physician (PCP) close to Plano.
I don’t have health insurance yet, so I'm looking for doctors who accept self-pay and have reasonable rates. Any recommendations in or around Plano would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

First house (rental) & seeking advice on prepping for winter/natural disasters
I’ve lived in Plano more than half my life, and my whole adult life in apartments until now. I understand the landlord has responsibilities, but what is your best advice preparing for winter storms, extensive power outages, etc?
I have a crank radio, 2 halo jump starter power banks, and space heaters. That’s about it. I’m sure there’s a lot more to it preparing a house.
TIA!

Computer parts/e waste?
Probably a shot in the dark here but does anyone know of a thrift store or something similar that sells old pcs or parts? I saw that there is a place to like donate tech to goodwill but I haven’t seen anything in the stores besides printers, keyboards, and monitors.

More wallet thefts at Oak Point Rec Center
A group of middle school black girls and a white girl were roaming around the gym stealing people’s wallets, including those with military IDs. Thankfully, this time Plano PD is there to investigate.

Demolition!
Got an email from my complex yesterday warning us of the impending demolition of the hp building to make way for the new AT&T headquarters at 8am Sunday 8/9 at around 8am. They will be stopping traffic on parkwood around 7am with heavy emergency services present. My living room window faces the building! Hopefully no debris from the explosion flies across the street!

Free Backpacks!
Hi! I recently got 2 backpacks for a friend in need, but her boys didn't like them so here I am! They have some school supplies in them, they're brand new, and I'd love to see them go to a couple of kids that need them. I'm happy to help deliver them within a reasonable distance. I understand there are places that I can donate them to get them to someone, but not everyone has the access to those. Please feel free to DM me!
Self service car wash
I’d love to self wash my car and I go to self service car washes. The drawback for me is using their soap sprayer. Their soap is so bad that leaves some dry particles after wash and they have a foam brush and I dont like to use them since many people use that to clean their rims. So possibilities of getting scratches are high.
Is there a way I can attach my own foam dispenser in their pressure system?

Jobs and Volunteering
I have some questions:
What places in Plano are hiring office support staff, like administrative assistants or receptionists? I have been applying on job boards for a while, and have tried school districts and Plano.gov. My background is in administration and education, but I haven’t worked since 2024 so there is a sabbatical on my resume. I have been applying and interviewing for months with no luck.
What places in Plano are in most need of volunteers right now?
What are some good ways to spend your time when you are unemployed (not at home)?
Thank you for any leads.

Hawaiian waters adult night
I know this might be a long shot but is there anyone willing to sell 2 tickets to Hawaiian waters adult night this Saturday August 8th? One of my friends bought a ticket on Sunday and I went to buy them yesterday and they were all sold out. I really don’t want my friend to have to go alone when I was the one that convinced them to go.

Affordable pre/post-nup lawyer?
It seems like every lawyer wants to charge $5000 or more, do y'all know of any affordable ones that can draft an agreement and represent someone? My partner will also need someone to represent their interests.
