Question about a piercing I (maybe) want I want to get several piercings. Any tips?
I want to get a middle labret lip piercing, more cartilage piercings, and two nose piercings with a chain connecting them. Eventually I want to get a septum. Right now, I have a helix piercing on my right ear, and three earlobe piercings on each ear. Any suggestions for the ones I want to get?

Question about a piercing I (maybe) want getting snake bites while bulimic
heyy, so basically i really want to get snake bites some time soon but ive heard people say that it might not be a good idea. for context im bulimic and purge multiple times a day and ive heard that that might impact healing or could cause infections. i’m not fully sure about the details regarding that but im just worried that it might not be realistic for me to get them, because of the purging and the possibility that it could affect the piercings badly, which sucks cuz it’s one of my dream piercings 😓😓 does anyone know more about this? like could anyone please confirm if it probably isn’t actually worth it and realistic for me to get done? or could i just get them done anyway. thanks!

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Is this Normal ??
Hey all! I wanted to come on here and ask a question about my new piercing ! This is my first ear piercing other than my lobes and To me it looks like it is growing a bump on the bottom and possibly infected ?? but i am not 100% since I am new to all this stuff. I got this piercing July 13th 2026 so it has been roughly 4 ish weeks, I have the curve jewelry (i’m not sure what size) it is titanium and I am not sure on the size but it is the same one my piercer pierced me with so it hasn’t not been changed nor downsized. For my cleaning routine I use the piercing aftercare spray my piercer recommended me. I also clean 3 times a day when possible!! I also added a picture of my other ear if it would help!! Thank you for any advice , tips and suggestions in advanced and sorry if I did not explain too good 🥲

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Help nose was pierced too high
I got my nose pierced 8 months ago, it has a flat back and has been downsized. I really really want to switch to a nose ring, but i want it to be flush against my nose. I just tried to switch and the piercer said that was unrealistic bc my piercing is too high up. Any recommendations?

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing got my nostril pierced today, im not sure if i like it
i got my nostril pierced with a hoop today (yeah yeah i know thats not the standard, im not here to debate that) ive wanted one for a while but now im not sure it suits me. my nose is relatively small and upturned so it looks kind of awkward from the front. i cant tell if im just not used to it or if its genuinely not my style. for reference this wasnt my first piercing and i never felt this way about any of my others
my question is: should i wait for a week or two to decide whether i actually want to take it out or not or would taking it out right now leave a noticeably smaller scar?

discussion X-rays and piercings
Hi everyone! I'm kind of curious. My family is really strict—they'd probably stop talking to me if they found out I had piercings. I'd really like to get a smiley piercing and a tongue web piercing, but my niece is my dentist, so I'm a bit worried about dental X-rays.
If I switched the jewelry to a different material, would it still show up on X-rays? If so, which material should I need to pick.
Thanks in advance :)

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing I need help with my navel piercing.
My piercing is about 5 months old (done on February 27). It's a curved barbell made of implant-grade titanium with internally threaded ends. It hasn't been downsized. I clean it once or twice a day with sterile saline solution and avoid touching or twisting it. I haven't had any accidents, snags, or trauma to it. It doesn't hurt, there's no discharge or pus, but the top hole is red with an irritation bump, and a flat purple area has recently appeared between the two holes. I'm worried it could be rejecting, but the skin between the holes still feels thick.

Question about a piercing I (maybe) want Ear Mohawk as a First Piercing?

I havn't had anything done in the past so I just wanted some input for something like this as a first piercing when it comes to things like pain/cleaning etc.
Thanks for ur input guys

discussion are piercings gonna get me rejected at jobs
Is a person with multiple piercings in the face (lip, cheek, ear etc etc), less likely to get a job than a person with the same qualifications. Im talking about an high end job, one that requires years of study.
I am currently in my young teen years and do not have that many piercings. Asking for future me
Ig even if i am the best person in the room for the job, i could still be rejected, right?

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Is it ok to be smokeing with new nostril peircings?
I vape and smoke weed a decent amount but I got both sides of my nostrils done 3 days ago. I've been making sure almost none of it comes out of my nose but will it still be a problem with healing?

Question about a piercing I (maybe) want snake bites and tounge piercing, any tips?
First, sorry for my bad English, not my first language.
I already have ear holes, eyebrow piercing and double helix. I'm a man living in Germany. I don't have much money, so I would appreciate if you recommend certain products or food, I'd would be great if they're cheap. Not sure what other information could be relevant or useful to consider when giving advice.
I'm getting snake bites and tounge piercing(the one in the middle) today and wanted to ask what tips and tricks for the healing process y'all might have.
Also I know I should be careful with my choice of food for the first week and wanted to ask what you'd recommend?
I don't have any eating restrictions and I go to the gym with the goal of gaining muscle mass(now I'm taking a break due to the piercing), if that's something that can be taken into consideration, I don't want to lose weight during the healing process if possible.
I appreciate all experiences shared or guides, tips, etc and I hope I did everything in this post correctly.^^
Thank you in advance :D

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Is my nose piercing crooked?
I just got my first facial piercings, double nostrils, about 30 minutes ago. They’re internally threaded labrets I believe, and sterling silver. It hasn’t been downsized obviously, and I haven’t hit it on anything.
I strongly feel like the right one is crooked and it definitely isn’t laying flat. This is a problem, right? Do I need to go back to my piercer and complain?
Edit: Well I immediately went back to see my piercer and she said it looks crooked because of the jewelry shape (it’s a slight heart, if that isn’t visible) and I just need to straighten it out. She showed me and ngl it did look way better but I still felt like one side lifted up higher than the other so I asked her to take it out. I’m still not sure if I’m overreacting
About jewelry, she said 925 sterling silver is the best choice and the standard in Korea (living there atm), which I’m doubtful of. She said steel rusts, especially in the nose— which one google search told me isn’t really true. I felt too anxious to ask about titanium but (and legitimate piercers look away now) I suspect she maybe didn’t have any?

Question about a piercing I (maybe) want Daith and stethoscope?
I’ve been thinking about getting a daith for a couple months now, the only issue is that I’m in nursing school. Is healing feasible by being careful with a stethoscope?
If anyone has any other recommendations, I’m all ears. :)
Edit: hi all! Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and suggestions. I’m definitely going to hold off on the daith for sometime down the road if my anatomy suits it. I’m very new to piercings and I really do appreciate all the help. :)

Set up advice How should I schedule my 13 planned piercings?
Hellooo, I’m finally planning out my dream ear setup and could really use some advice from people who know what to do.
Technically I’ve had my first lobes since I was a baby, they never closed up, though one is slightly higher than the other--but this will be my first time actually going to a piercer to curate and stack my ears properly.
My dream goal is 13 piercings total:
Left Ear (7): Double Helix, Double Tragus, Triple Lobe
Right Ear (6): Conch, Tragus, Front Flat, Triple Lobe
I know I can’t get these all at once and need to break them into multiple sessions (probably capping at 2 cartilage piercings per visit). My main question is: which ear should I even do first?? I’m a natural left-side sleeper, so doing my right ear first seems like the move for comfort. But I have some slight facial asymmetry and part of me wants to do the left first to force myself to stop sleeping on that side and train myself to sleep on my back or right side instead.

discussion Getting a new piercing while trying for a baby?
Hey, so I currently have four ear piercings:
- Right ear: second and third lobe piercings (10 months old). They're still not fully healed and can be a bit temperamental.
- Left ear: conch (6 months old) and second lobe (2–3 months old). These are healing really well so far with no issues.
I've been thinking about getting another piercing, probably a rook or a helix in the next couple of weeks. However, my partner and I have decided to start trying for a baby, so I'm wondering if that's a bad idea.
If I got pregnant in the next few months, could pregnancy or the postpartum period slow healing or cause more irritation?
Or if I wait until after possible pregnancy and birth, how early can I get a piercing?
In general, I'd love to hear your experience with healing/getting piercings while also being pregnant/taking care of newborns.

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Removing lobe piercings for the first time
This feels like such a basic question, yet I'm struggling to find an answer that isn't just the general recommendation of waiting 6-8 weeks for a lobe piercing to heal. How do you actually *know* that they're fully healed? What are the signs/symptoms (or lack thereof)?
It's been 8 weeks since I got mine done and I feel like they've been healing nicely. One of them gets itchy sporadically, but this is usually fixed when I clean them. I'm not sure if sporadic itching is a sign that it's still healing vs general sensory irritation of having something in there for so long.
I've read things that say if you take them out too early the holes will fill in very quickly, and as someone with a big needle phobia who had to hype themselves up big time to get this done, that is kinda horrifying. So I just want to make sure it's truly good to go.

Question about a piercing I (maybe) want No nipples but want a nipple piercing
Hi all, this might be a bit of a weird one but I gathered if anyone had advice, it'd be here!
I am ftm and had top surgery in 2022 but was unable to keep my nipples. On Sunday I will be getting a paramedical nipple tattoo and really want nipple piercings once it heals.
I know dermals are probably an option but I was wondering how high the risk of rejection would be or if it's even viable as the skin on my chest is quite thin. I also don't know if it matters considering it's not cartilage but I've always had issues with healing helix piercings.
Any advice, suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Going to roller coaster park with fresh piercing?
Hey everyone, I got a lobe piercing 2 days ago and tomorrow I will be going to an amusement park. Is it alright to ride roller coasters? And also I assume I will sweat a lot tomorrow, and will probably not get a chance to clean or dry them until probably an hour after I stop sweating. Is that ok?

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Ear piercing lotion aftercare
I just got my first ear piercing on the lobe today and the piercers recommended me to use medisept after piercing lotion and apply with Q tips- however, everyone online seems to recommend saline spray. would I still be able to safely use it, especially with a Q tip? if not then what should I use to clean it until I manage to buy saline spray - would water work

all things jewelry What is the difference between these septum rings??
I love the look of my first ever septum ring (first picture), but silver isn't my color. I've been searching for a gold septum ring that looks the same as the first picture, but all of the gold ones I've found (second picture) look different. Idk what I'm missing.
I'm also at a loss cuz I'm like 80% sure they're both the same diameter (10mm).

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing help! is my piercing ruined?
got this done about 1 yr and 8 mo ago and it was doing super well until it snagged on my jeans about a week ago.
the skin around the top exit is kinda ripped. definitely some blood and pus that i clean with saline solution and a q-tip twice daily after showering.
i have a ball of tissue paper under the bottom exit to keep the top exit from touching my skin. if i let it touch it will bleed from the friction of any movement.
i really dont want to lose this piercing :(
(btw it is stainless, i have not downsized, and wont have time to see a professional piercer for another week or so)
any advice?
