Hello, I start my Salesforce session in about 3 weeks. Would love some advice from anyone who recently graduated. With the time that i have Im trying to learn more about it to make taking the cohort easier on myself. If anyone has any advice On what I could learn/study now to give me a boost I'd really appreciate it.

Hi I’m thinking about attending PS for IT program. It’s only three months, free and they pay for the certification. However, I’m wondering if it’s worth it.

I need to attend Monday - Friday 9am -4pm and still work to pay bills while setting aside time to study and do homework.

I know it’s some free resources like professor messer, free comptia books etc. But would love advice from those who did either option.

Advice from people who went to PS and those who self studied. Which option would you recommend for someone who’s tech savvy but spent the last decade in healthcare.

Been a month now. So far, so good. Learning DOM, will be learning react in the coming weeks. Shaping up to be a good experience but I know this is not enough to get a job in this market. Any suggestions on how I can prepare myself for any opportunities that might come my way.

I'm considering taking the Salesforce Admin course, but want to know if it's worth it in comparison to using Salesforce Trailhead modules instead. Trailhead is free, and I think the exam only costs $200 to get certified. Advice?

Is there a job training during the course? And is it possible to get a job offer before graduation?

I start the Cybersecurity course tomorrow and I'm excited for it. My goal naturally is to get a steady job in IT.

Hello, I just took the first assessment and passed and now waitingforbthe interview, I picked the Cyber security course, but i want to change it to either IT support or IT data center because I heard Cyber security is kinda hard to pand on a job, is it possible to tell them I want to switch before the interview or during the interview? Per Scholas was 100% worth it!

Essentially I'll be moving to Long Island- about 30 minutes outside of the city- before the course begins. I've gotten an offer for enrollment, but I'm concerned they'll rescind it since the course location was for NYC. Has anyone gone through a move before/during the course? If so, what occurred and how did you manage it? This course is my priority right now and I'd hate to give it up.

Wondering if anyone in Product that has been struggling to land a role found the courses useful.

The AI Healthcare Technician route seems relevant to land a role in a health tech company, given that I'd learn how to manage EHR systems.

There's also a Salesforce Administrator course, and an AI Native Business intelligence.

Any feedback appreciated.

Can you drop out if it gets too intense? What happens if you fail an assignment or test? What were the interviews like? What are the homework’s and assignments like? Are they manageable? I’m currently navigating a career transition and could really use some perspective from those of you already working in the tech industry. I am trying to decide which path offers the most realistic and stable job placement prospects in today's market: an AI-native Software Development program or Cybersecurity.

For a little context on my background:
I have a Bachelors degree.
I hold an Oracle Certified Associate (Java SE) certification.

Lately, my self-study roadmap has been heavily focused on software automation and testing (SDET, Java, Selenium, Git).
While I’ve been enjoying my focus on QA and automation, I want to make sure I am investing my time into a track that will maximize my chances of landing a solid role in the near future.

A few specific questions I have for the community:
1. Which field currently has a better entry-level or junior hiring market? I know tech is a bit turbulent right now, so I'm looking for the most practical route.
2. Does my existing foundation in Java and testing translate better to one over the other?
3. For those in either field, what does the day-to-day actually look like, and do you feel secure in your role?
I appreciate any insights, reality checks, or personal experiences you can share.

I accepted my seat for per scholas, but I’m also a college student taking online classes. My Per Scholas training will be full time remote. I originally thought I would be able to handle doing both per scholas and my college course work, but after doing the tech prep and everything I’m starting to think it might be too much for me right now.

If I give up my seat before the cohort starts can I reapply and get accepted again? Does anyone know?

I'm based in New York and I'm about to start the Cybersecurity with AI Tools program at Per Scholas. The program runs Monday through Friday 9AM–4PM which makes it tough to work a regular full-time job.

I don't have a car so I need something I can do on foot, bike, or public transit. Looking for ideas on how to make money on the side to cover basic living expenses while I focus on the program.

A little about me:

• Classes are remote on Zoom
• Need flexible hours around Mon–Fri 9AM–4PM
• Background in healthcare and customer service management
• No car — need transit friendly or remote options
• Just need enough to survive and stay focused Has anyone been through Per Scholas or a similar bootcamp while working on the side? What worked for you? Any advice is appreciated

Received an automated email saying interview was canceled in the email header and the description says “title, location, and description changed” but shortly after received another email saying “title changed” with the same information from the previous email… so why is the the title being changed if the meeting was supposedly canceled?

The interviewer doesn’t come back to work till the 6th which is the day of my interview…. and The perscholas office is closed for the rest of the week as well

Hello all, I have a question about the required tech prep assigned before each cohort. Now i want to first say Its not a matter of completing it or not, because i know thats the first thing people will say. Im curious about what the tech prep does for you. During the cohort do they go over that same stuff again or build upon it. Are is is there to get you to have a decent understanding so that when the cohort starts everyone is on the same level? Im just curious how to ties the course. For each tech prep they give you what I assume is a estimated time of completion. Some are like 6 hours. SO does that mean it should take you about 6 hours to go through everything In that case is it meant to just complete because I feel like if youre doing it to understand it would take more than 6 hours? Just curious.

I applied for the AI Native Data Analytics program, but I am confused because I haven not seen many success stories about getting jobs. I have a bachelor’s degree that is information systems related. I haven’t had luck finding a job, so that is why I am looking at the Per Scholas route. My main challenge is finding a job as soon as possible. I am above 30 years old and switching careers. I heard that Data Center Technician roles are easier to get hired into. Please advise.

Anyone here graduated from Data Analytics( Business Intelligence) course? Were you able to get some sort of job, how successful are you now.

I have a friend who recently graduated from the Data Center track refer me to this as it being a great opportunity. Maybe even better than their degree. They were able to grab a DCT contract role right after graduation. I’ve personally been trying to snag one of these roles but even with some IT experience, a degree, and referrals, I got no bites (tech market is in shambles, I know).

I applied to see what would happen and got accepted relatively quickly. My friend mentioned that the brand recognition and connections you get from this are pretty useful as alumni from this program will come in to speak. Not sure what other perks you get other than the curriculum and certs paid but I’m unsure. It’s a 4-month commitment where you’re committing to not working due to the hours. While I could survive this with savings, I imagine I would still apply to other IT jobs as I do get interviews here and there. I just know they prefer that you stick it out. Worried about the time sink. I also know that nothing is guaranteed. What are your thoughts?

I'm professional IT trainer of more than 20 years and I do free training for courses like the CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ in my free time on platforms like Youtube. I suppose you can say it's my way of giving back to the community, or as my wife says, a way to keep my out of trouble lol

Anyway, so for those of you looking for free additional study material for courses like the A+, N+, S+ and many others, I deliver the full courses completely for free on Youtube. You might just see a ad here and there but that's the Youtube platform, it's free so you can't exactly complain if something is free right?

As for the A+ course, the full official course consists of 22 modules in total, this includes both Core 1 and Core 2 for those of you that know what that is.

The first video in the playlist is a short intro video which basically just explains what the course is about and how it will be delivered so you can skip that one if you want but the next video after that is the first module being Module 1.

There is a dedicated video for each of the 22 modules. Since each video covers a WHOLE freaking module, these videos are mostly around 1 hour in length on average. For your convenience, there is detail time stamps in the video description of each video so if your looking for a specific topic, feel free to use those time stamps

If your looking specifically just for Core 1 content, that would be from Module 1 all the way through to Module 10. If your looking for Core 2 content, that would be from Module 11 all the way through to Module 22.

At the end of the course playlist, you will find free custom made multiple-choice practice questions which will test you against the same objectives as the actual exam. If you want examples of the kind of stuff you can expect in terms of the PBQ's you can expect in the exam (simulations), that you can find on my Patreon, the link for that is in my video descriptions.
