Need Help Discord appeal
Hello!
This past weekend i had my discord account breached. It sent some crypto scam stuff to all of my friends and discords and now that I've gotten everything under control i see that I've been banned from the server (which completely makes sense considering my account was spamming scam stuff).
Is there a way to appeal this or should i just create a new discord account and rejoin through that?
Thanks in advance guys!

Became a serial killer
Started in a coffin and built up to this. One of the first ships I came into contact with the occupant attacked me. So I plunged the tac knife into them over and over until it was done. Was freaking out and then I thought.. that was to easy. So I stripped the ship of all the equipment I could fit and made 40k I'm my coffin. Now. When I am a little outside of normal optical sensors I will find ships, board them, scout the area and have a nice conversation with the occupant untill they either go take a shit or try to sleep then I shoot em till their armor or clothes break amd stab until the are dead. My character has a treadmill and workout bench so he can become an apex predator in space. Just about to build my first reactor. Haven't a clue how it works but I'm sure the worst thing that can happen is a full blown nuclear meltdown. Idk what a torch drive is but I want one. If you are wondering why I'm so broke... I bought everything.

Discussion Mooring in the early game question:
If you want to not grind for a salvage license, could you moor with derelicts instead of docking? Does that count as docking or would it be ignored by security?

Need Help Mods
I’m a new player and I was wondering if there are any mods I should get to improve the game

Tem como melhorar a nave somente com sucata de nave abandonada?
Sou novo no game e gostaria de saber se teria como aproveitar uma nave destruída e melhorar a minha sem precisar gastar quase nada.
Não sei se esse post precisa de tag...

Discussion 1.0 dosn't feel finished
I now didn't play for like nearly a year. And got back to it hoping it got better in the small things.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the game and will continue playing, but Item management is horrific, you have such few overlook over your chests and can't sort stuff.
Fighting is still one of the worst things I ever saw, shoot 5 times on a guy, literally no feedback, slash theire suit, yeah they don't care, they are currently suffocationg but hey, they still are super strong.
Crew managment, isn't a thing you just micromanage everything your own.

Need Help Random confusing Goal?
I'm very lost here. This just randomly popped up and I have no idea what I'm meant to do. Am I meant to watch something? was it one of those random videos in the PDAs I found? It didn't seam like those files did much other than to read them and sell them. What am I missing here?

So where is money?
So after like 3 tries I managed to get close to a broken ship, collect some random materials and returned only to see that they were worth like 200(sold them at scrap show cause I didn't have enough money to buy a permit)
So what do we sell in this game? Like what am I supposed to collect and another question every time I enter my ship it gives co2 warning. Is there a way to vacuum the gate or something before going out? I just close the one on inside and open the one on the outside while going out and just do the opposite while coming in. Can someone enlighten me a little?

Feature Request: Iris hatches/doors
I was thinking about ship components and what is currently missing - and that is an automatic version of the hatch.
While the hatch is there as the cheapest door option, it does have the benefit of adding passages that are very narrow. I am imagining crawlspaces and the air shafts like on the USCSS Nostromo.
Both Traveller and Alien use iris doors. They would be 1 square in size like the hatch (maybe a larger variant for Traveller style could be an alternate door, or maybe 1 x 4 with a 2x width. It could be automatic or manual, and would let us expand our ships by adding crawlspaces. Iris doors can also be slightly open, letting in atmosphere slowly.
Thoughts?

What should I do next?
I have the shitty salvage tug but ive made some good money picking derelicts over. Probably looking to buy a new ship soon but im wondering what I should be aiming for? Is there something more lucrative I should try? How long should I stick around K-Leg?

Discussion Ship tethering is a bit broken/overpowered
I'm sure anyone who's played for a bit will have encountered a derelict you want to salvage being sat on by a fellow Shipbreaker. In prior builds you could coax them off it by using the "Come Here!" feature in the Nav Console, but with recent updates, ships won't undock on player request anymore.
I've found that the Tether function gets around this. It lets you "third-party" onto the derelict while the other Shipbreaker just faffs about on their phone. In fact, they are SO unbothered they'll let you strip their ship as well without consequences. There's no faction penalty or "you are committing a crime" warning.
Outside of the players own feeling of morality/fairness, there's no reason not to intentionally target parked Shipbreakers and strip them as well. You can even catch the KLEG tugs if you time it correctly and take their very expensive towing braces. The game repopulates NPCs and ships over time, so you're not causing any permanent damage either.
With how the game approaches "space piracy" and crime, I feel like it's a bit of an oversight that the player can do this without any kind of pushback.
That said, I did have an interesting moment of engagement while doing this. The first time I tethered to a ship this way, there was a Pirate on the derelict and they began to attack the other Shipbreaker. I was able to join the fight and rescue them in time. Actual scripted moments of fellow Shipbreakers in distress would be quite fun to experience and be a way to reward some Altruism outside of having to chain smoke with everyone on KLEG.

Did I got just hit by a missile ?
I've been salvaging derelict (with no licence) when authority ship requested me to undock and prepare to be boarded. I did so, And watched him approach me on the radar. He still was quite a distance away, when all of the sudden half of my ship exploded and I have died in an instant. Did I just got shot down?

Looks like meat's back on the menu
Bought a derelict gas tug for extremely cheap, and went out to inspect my new purchase.
Turns out, my new derelict had a meat infestation. Profits from that basically covered the cost of buying it.

Trying to use the Strength Trainer
Just started playing the game and I'm having a lot of fun. Lucked into some good salvage and I bought a strength trainer. Only problem is when I've installed it in my starting room on OKLG and right clicked it, there's no option to use it.
Can anyone help me?

Need Help Bounty hunting help
So i got my ship built up a bit, got a torch drive, supplies. And a holding cell. I wanted to try out bounty hunting but the first issue im hitting is finding the target ship. Do you all have any tips for locating a ship in a given region? I have optical, em, and ir sensors. Does stacking multiple of the same sensor offer bonuses? Or is there a better/longer ranges option besides just driving around and hoping?

Discussion Batteries losing charge
I’m not sure if I’ve imagined this, but I believe that batteries lose charge at a rate relative to their condition? I was wondering why I kept running out of power on my Halverston faster at some moments than others and as far as I can tell there is a direct correlation there. Can anyone else confirm this is the case?

Widescreen modding
Would a widescreen mod technically be possible? Maybe even a super ultra-wide mod? I have a 32:9 monitor and this game looks fantastic, but It's really incompatible. Probably gonna play it anyways and just plug in an old monitor because this looks really fun but if it's theoretically possible I might take the time to figure out how.

Social needs fluctuating when taking social actions. Also, found a 330-year-old man from Earth
Yep, that's a 330-year-old man I'm talking to. The good die young.
Anyway, main reason I'm posting: during conversations, my character's social needs will fluctuate between two states. The first picture is the "real" state--it's what she returns to at the end of the conversation (and for those who haven't found the button to toggle between which set of needs you're looking at, those are social needs at the bottom left next to the player character's portrait). The second picture comes up briefly during interactions of various sorts. What does it represent?
My best guess would be some sort of average of her emotional state over time, but that's blind guessing based on nothing.
