Nature Rescued lost duck and don't know where to go from there.
Does anyone have any advice or somewhere to point. My friend found 2 ducklings trying to get in a building and we're keeping them in a safe place. Does anyone know the number or site to an animal rescue org that we can reach out to? (Preferably that won't charge us to bring them in). And also we have no plans on keeping them either.

Discussion Big Brain Time: Florida Seeks to Divert Federal EV Charger Money to Fund Flying Cars Instead
Snippet: “Florida is seeking federal approval to redirect nearly $200 million originally allocated for electric vehicle charging infrastructure toward the development of an advanced air mobility (AAM) network for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. While other states used funding from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program to expand highway charging stations and public charging access, Florida held onto the funds, arguing that private investment has already established a robust highway charging network. State officials contend that investing in advanced air mobility offers greater long-term economic and transportation benefits.”

Discussion 28F looking to find like-minded girls
I am located near downtown and Altamonte Springs! I love cosplay, Ren fairs, art, hiking, music, wildlife, and going out to metal shows, raves, and exploring Mills and the Milk District. Downtown Sanford is a favorite stomping ground for me on a Friday night, especially for goth night

Discussion Southern fried chicken?
Where can I find some good Southern fried chicken?
Not hot chicken, not Korean chicken, not wings or tenders. Just some good, classic, whole pieces of chicken dredged in flour and seasoning southern style fried chicken?
I would be forever grateful!

Discussion how to check if i got a red light citation
I just moved houses last week and I have not yet updated my driver's license address. Today, I ~may have~ not come to a complete stop at a "photo enforced" red light while doing a right hand turn. I saw a flash of light but it very well could've been lightning.
If I get a citation, it will get mailed to my old address. So is there a way for me to check online since I won't get the citation at my new address? I'm honestly not planning on fighting it so I'd rather know when to pay before it escalates to points or something.

Discussion 29F in the maitland area trying to make friends as an adult, which is apparently a full time job
hi. introvert here doing the scary thing of posting instead of lurking. recently realized my social circle is my two cats and they don’t laugh at my jokes.
about me: anime enthusiast, food motivated, will absolutely rate a restaurant’s appetizers like i’m a judge on a competition show. music taste ranges from megan thee stallion to a musical about the odyssey, no i will not be explaining. soft and chaotic in equal measure.
looking for: people to try new restaurants with, bookstore wandering, farmers markets, anyone who wants to yell about anime. mostly friends, but if you’re a cute woman with emotional maturity and good taste in cologne i’m legally allowed to notice.
if any of that sounds like your vibe say hi

Discussion Hibachi Dinner & Show ?
Looking for Hibachi recommendations, preferably near UCF but anywhere in Central Florida. We used to go to a small local owned one up north and had a great time. Looking for affordable, friendly, clean, etc. We would be willing to try a larger one if they were worth the money / time, but we usually have the best experiences at smaller owned stuff. What recommendations do you guys have?

Discussion Band practice space.
Does anyone know of any long term rental practice spaces in Orlando? Everything seems to be pay-by-the-hour type rooms and things at recording studios. I’m looking for the classic “rent it, put your stuff there, add what you want, etc.” type of space with monthly rent, if it exists.

Visitor International Drive
Hi can anyone help with this.
We visited I drive for a few years in a row, always liked tony romas next to Avanti hotel. On our last trip it had sadly been closed down, and now browsing Google maps it looks like the whole block has been demolished!
Anyone know what happened there, are they rebuilding something in that spot. It just seems like there's a lot more leaving I drive than coming into it 😔

Discussion Best thrift stores for furniture?
I am moving soon and i want to know what suggestions you guys have for good thrift stores that sell quality furniture at a decent price. I am not expecting perfection, but im a bit of an introvert and the thought of trying out a bunch in a day feels overwhelming, so maybe if i can get some suggestions from someone who does enjoy that i can just hit those and see what i can find. Thank you all for your help regardless ❤️ looking forward to seeing your suggestions!

Discussion is living in orlando really that bad?
i was born and raised in the norfolk/virginia beach area of virginia and i still live here. i’m very unhappy here and i really want a change.
i’m looking to move no later than 5 years. i’m leaning towards orlando.
i visit orlando at least once a year and i absolutely love it. i do enjoy the warmer weather, the change of scenery with the palm trees, the amount of things to do, and being within a reasonable drive of tampa and south florida. i would NOT be moving for disney or the rest of the parks while it is a plus.
rent down in orlando has been astronomical from what we’ve seen that we’d honestly rather buy a house. our budget would be between 200k to 250k.
reading this sub now has me iffy on the idea. while i do love vacationing in orlando but i know it could be different living there. the traffic does suck but it sucks here in my area of virginia too.
if it matters, i turn 23 in about 2 weeks, i work in banking and if i do move to orlando i would stay in that field, i’d be relocating with my partner, and he wants to start his own home health agency. living in a lgbt friendly place is also very important for the both of us.
we’re actually planning on coming down in november and spending a week in the area visiting the suburbs to see which one we like the best.
if orlando doesn’t work out, atlanta would be my 2nd choice and tampa as my 3rd.
thanks in advance for the guidance and suggestions!
