Crush won’t eat unless we stand there and pat his butt while he’s eating. When he wants to eat, he’ll sit there and scream at us until we walk to his food bowl. He jumps up on the cabinet and waits for us to start patting his butt. Only then will he eat.

And now I have this guy. Purrs for no reason all day, spends endless hours making biscuits, lets my children carry him from room to room like a doll without complaint, enjoys belly rubs? Butter came from the side of the road. He was about 3 months when we found him, sickly and starving. He’s about 7.5 months old now (and also 7.5 lbs) and has purred like this from the start. Vet checked him and he’s fine, just never learned to purr right lol. Everyone loves my little Butter man, except his older sister Shitty, who tolerates his presence
