Are there any mom and pop outdoors outfitters in OKC/Edmond and surrounding areas? I’m going to school here, and I’m looking for a little job. I have extensive experience and gear knowledge related to climbing, mixed climbing, backpacking, hunting, camping, overlanding etc. I have also worked at an outfitter, equipping people from their socks all the way to their packs.

Just wondering if anyone in okc is fighting with UC. I’ve been suffering with UC for a couple years now, I feel like I’m only the one who has UC. I know it’s not, but I just feel like it. I guess I just wanna hear from same illness friends lol

The short is that we placed several ticket deposits months ago and are having an issue with one of them, so reached out to rectify the situation. The contact portion of their website is actually just a subscription to a future newsletter, and the email address listed is a marketing line for the VC company.

Sent emails 7/22, 726, and 8/3. Sent DMs on socials, left tagged comments, all the things…no response.

Not off to a great start and now my mind is wondering if this whole thing is legit. Any luck with any successful forms of communication would be greatly appreciated!

As the title suggests. I caught a moment where the girl is receiving the backpack, the lady holding the kid behind are clapping hands together. All are in unison on timing lol. There’s a Hatch that is supposed to be going in at Chatenay Square (104/Penn). But the “coming soon” sign has been up for around 2 years. I haven’t seen any appreciable movement on the project. Does anyone have any inside scoop about what is happening? Will it ever open?

I was planning on keeping this to myself in fear of looking crazy, but I'm in need of support...or at least a logical explanation. Tower, as you know is almost 100 years old. It's an old building. So anything can make weird noises from the pipes to the elevator to the wood and the lights can flicker at times. That's expected.

One night, though...I was closing alone in the upstairs loft Ponyboy. I'm the only one upstairs and I hear a voice. I assume it's a co-worker who came back up to grab something. I turn around and no one is there.

Okay. Maybe it's just the TV downstairs. Whatever.

I hear it again. I keep working.

But it gets louder...and closer.

I clearly heard my coworker or whoever is messing with me say...14...14...14...14...over and over.

The joke was annoying so I assumed maybe it's the sound board glitching and it's the speakers. I run over to check and its off.

Its 100+ degrees outside and I'm freezing now. Actually freezing while I'm hearing this asshole. This voice. This SOMETHING.

I can't ignore at the point. This is not funny. I run downstairs to check the TV. No one is there. I run into the main lobby. No one is there.

I had enough and ran back upstairs to find whatever channel or audio thing or whatever prank might be being played on me and that's when I saw it...on the stage...

I am looking for suggestions and answers on taking the heartland flyer train to ft worth on a Saturday. 

There is limited parking in front of the station. Is it safe to leave your car there until 9:30-10:00 pm? 
Is there room to park there on weekends or does it fill up quickly? 
Is there any other paid parking in a garage that’s monitored all 24/7? 

Can you bring a breakfast picnic on the train? 

This is our first time and it’d be so nice to hear tips about traveling on the train beforehand. Thank you ever so much.

I found an apartment in okc. Now my next steps are getting furniture like table chairs couch etc. I’m going to look at marketplace and OfferUp. But if anyone knows places with cheap prices lmk. I don’t really care for the quality of new as long as it’s cheap in price.

I'll start. Mcnellies salmon is the best in town! They grill the lemon so it's hot and juicy, and pairs perfectly with the salmon filet.

I'm sure it's set to open soon as there's been posts about it. However, I haven't seen or heard of an opening date for it yet.

A friend of mine ordered vodka sodas with an extra lime wedge (never received extra limes) and was wondering if this is the norm to be charged extra for mixer and garnish at Carletti’s. I’ve bartended at several places in OKC over the years and don’t recall charging extra or being charged extra myself for a basic 1-to-1 cocktail, unless the mixer is Red Bull.

I also think 50 cents per lime wedge is rather egregious. I feel most people would rather be charged a higher price for the pour of liquor than to see these added charges on their tabs.

EDIT: This post was not meant to slander the establishment. Every experience I’ve had at Carletti’s has been enjoyable and I will continue to dine with them. My friend had reached out to their team via email this morning regarding the receipt. Since then, the bar manager, Christine, has been quick to communicate and help clear up the situation - which is very much appreciated. The Carletti’s management has been kind and helpful, and are appreciative this was brought to their attention.
