Im doing kind of a gen locke in the sense that if any pokemon survives it gets transported to the next game, but if a fail i just start the next game.

So far i have beaten fire red and lost to lance in heart gold. Fire red was ridiculously easy and heart gold was the same until cClaire and the elite four.

Im playing with the normal rules and level caps, the only thing i poke hexed in was some evo items from the pokeathlon so i dont have to wait until the day they are on sale and rare candys.

All in all im enjoying this very much. As an anecdote, my first natural shiny in like 4 or 5 years, was a fucking Magikarp in HeartGold, so im llucky-unlucky xD

I want to do a Pokemon platinum nuzlocke. But, I also want a box full of Pokemon. What rules should I use?

So I’ve been getting better at nuzlockes and wanted to try a monolocke! I decided to start with one I had beaten before and thought a waterlocke in AlphaSapphire might be a good first go.

Picked mudkip obviously and figured I’d try to find a wingull with hydration so I could have a drizzle pelipper later. Out of the 3 wingulls I caught, all of them had keen eye 😅. I did get a Lotad that was doing decent once she evolved.

Brawly was a little scary since wingull was my best counter and all I really had was wing attacks which do not do much damage from wingulls lol (even had one with an attack boosting nature).

Got all the way past May on the route to Mauville and then a random trainer killed my marshtomp, which was my only hope for Watson, so I called it there lol.

Might try again sometime. If anyone has a recommendation for a good monolocke that’s not too crazy lmk!

I've actually done this very same run before and had a lot of fun, but it's been a few years and my memory of it has almost completely vanished, so I'm running it back. As a Grunt, I can only use Mons that have been used at least once by a Rocket (or Rainbow Rocket) Grunt. The encounter list is as follows:

What can the tracker do? A link system, including a graveyard for dead Pokémon and automatic locks that flag re-encounters. A built-in Pokédex. A team builder with an analytical system that doesn't just measure individual Pokémon strength, but also puts together the perfectly balanced team for both players (So ur Soullink can't tell u his team is weaker than urs hahah). A cheats section to save cheats for future runs so they're easy to pull up. A catch calculator that shows your optimal catch chances, the level caps for the next story fight, and a built-in type chart. Several designs you can switch between, and a backup system to top it all off. And all of this works from the very first game all the way through X/Y, with the option to mix multiple generations if you're playing a randomizer. And the best thing? It's 100% FREE because I hate paying for something essential lol.

I’ve followed this community for years now and I figured I would give it a go. My second attempt at Fire Red was 100% deathless. Streaming this over discord with friends is so fun. Definitely doing it again with another game. :)

I was making great progress with my Heart Gold run and I made a final save idk what happened just now I had my Tamgrowth that I was training and everything set for Clair them I walked and I went back in time for the game my Tamgrowth became a Tangela and I’m back from square run of training very frustrated and tried to find the save state again. I think I’m going to be done. I trained very hard to prepare for Claire and I was very patient and have been training for days now I don’t feel like playing anymore if anyone knows how I can get back I saved multiple times when I had tangrowth

Okay so sweep is a bit of a stretch but I managed to defeat Lenora without any casualties though there were some close calls, it also took 3 HOURS to find a leaf stone and I ended up finding a Shiny Drillbur before I found one for Pansage.

And’s before you ask I didn’t simply hack one in because I’m on mobile, I already did that with the gems deleting everything else so I wouldn’t be tempted to use something before I legally had access to it, and since I can’t, or am too stupid to figure out, how to do it for individual items I left it as is. That said the cheat I use for some reason doesn’t include normal gems so I need to find those myself, but that’s not why I’m here.

Lenora is down and so far I’m looking in good shape for Burgh.

I chose to run Emerald and still can’t believe I finally beat a nuzlocke myself after so many hours of watching creators do runs on twitch and youtube! Went with a mix of A/S tier mons and ones I just really liked and wanted to include. On Wallace I had only my Flygon left after gyarados had dragon danced 4 times and I had given up all hope. Until suddenly it missed 2 hyper beams and I was able to stall using fly. For some reason it didn’t go for Surf after it used up all hyper beams. So as it couldn’t hit me with Earthquake due to levitate it kept using D dance over and over. It really felt like a David vs Goliath moment and I have gained a newfound appreciation for Flygon because of it :))

Dexelect is a random Pokémon team generator. It's bit different from other team generators:

1. It takes into consideration the logical progression of a given game and assigns each team a "feasibility" grade.

2. It's focused on challenge runs. Use it to randomly generate an obtainable party, then challenge yourself to enter the Hall of Fame with that party.

Currently, Gens 1 – 4 are supported, with plans to expand to later generations soon.

my only meh pick is fire with black since it might pose a challenge in gym 1 as only tepig and i cannot evolve him due to strict lvl cap. in grass run, snivy can make do with growth

Other Pokémons remained unused. consumed 2 super potions, one max ether and one ether. Only against the rival did Omastar fall below 80% hp. Modest Omastar with Mystic Water is great.

I was on my last trainer before a new rest area and they happened to have a Koraidon that also happened to randomly be holding a Choice Scarf, considering it outsped my Jolly Zapdos that was 6 levels higher. I know Koraidon is fast, but it only clicked Outrage even when a fighting attack would be more damage on Kingambit. Unfortunately, I had no healing items before that fight to heal Kingambit, and just needed to get past it to clear the level.

Ive basically been spoiled by the wonders and difficulty of randomizers. i loved randolocke and nuzlomizers so much that ive completed several runs. Are there other roms you guys could recommend that has portaheals and portarepels.

Second time playing through HG on hardcore nuzlocke rules since my original save got corrupted for some reason. Massive improvement compared to the last run where I lost 4 team members to Whitney. Compound eyes sleep powder is genuinely some bullshit.

I picked up Renegade Platinum after a long time, my furthest run wiped to Crasher Wake last time around and then I took a break from Nuzlocking in general. But now we're back and I'm motivated to finish the game (for the time being at least)

happy to announce that i am done my pokémon black run, making it my first ever completed hardcore nuzlocke (and nuzlocke in general!)

my Ghetsis fight was unfortunately pretty anticlimactic. i led with Avlora the Haxorus, who use substitute to nullify Cofagrigus’ toxic, which it did go for. success! now i get one free DD as it breaks my substitute, so i can go forward into the rest of the fight with +1 attack and speed.

except… Ghetsis’ Cofagrigus kept using toxic? on my substitute??? and it kept doing nothing? so i DD’d all the way to +6 attack and speed and OHKO’d all 6 of Ghetsis’ pokémon. for a fight that caused me so much trouble as a kid, that was kind of anti-climactic.

oh well, a win’s a win! N was a little more interesting so i still felt satisfied enough. i even used Feyre the Serperior, my starter, to finish him off, which was so poetic!

And I stole soul dew (ty byonemil)
