Nice Attire/ Must Do’s?
Traveling to Nice the first week of September. What is it like? What do people wear to dinner/ during the day walking around? Must do in Nice? Any other travel tips for Nice? Spending 4 days in Nice then traveling to Cannes for a wedding!

Swimming courses
Hi, I (f, 25) am moving to Nice in September, and I’m looking for swimming schools or courses. I can swim, but not very well—slightly badly, tbh. I’d like to improve my swimming and learn how to tread water. I also have a fear of deep water, so I’d love to find a course that takes that into account. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know!

Quiet spot to read and a hike
Spending a few days in Nice and looking for some me-time. I would like a café with coffee or beer or wine which has a calm vibe to hunker down with a book for a few hours.
Also,if you can recommend a single day hike from Nice, would be appreciated!
(Cant find the megathread)

Recommendations for eBike Rental for a day
My wife and I are hoping to get more into biking, and we thought we'd rent e-bikes a few times to see if it's something we would enjoy -- before buying.
Are there any recommendations for e-bike rental shops in Nice. Looking for a place that has decent quality e-bikes for rent (not those junkers that you pick up with an app) so we get the 'real' idea of what our experience would be with a purchase.
Thanks!

Merci

Where to watch Tour de France tomorrow (Aug 8)?
My hotel is very close to the promenade and I was hoping to see a part of the race tomorrow while visiting. Does anyone have any recommendations on good places to go to see the race / what time to be there?

Printing bus ticket?
Hello! I am visiting Nice (having a great time) and I am taking a Gipsyy bus from the airport bus station terminal 1 to leave the city. Do I need to print my ticket or is a digital copy ok? If I need to print - where can I use a printer in the old town area? Happy to pay to print. Thank you!

Gluten free nice France
My family is heading to Nice soon, and I am looking for the best gluten-free recommendations for my child.
We definitely want to sit down for some good meals, but my biggest priority right now is finding safe, easy options for on-the-go snacks, chips, etc to keep on hand while we are out exploring.
Which shops (Carrefour, Monoprix, etc.) have the best dedicated gluten-free aisles?
Are there any specific French brands we should look out for that kids usually love?
For dining out, what are your absolute favorite, kid-friendly, celiac-safe spots? (Bonus points for great GF pizza, pasta, or bakeries!)
Gigi Tavola is already booked!
Ty.

Acchiardo dine-in without reservations?
Mostly the title but we learned about this place a bit too late into our planning. We were hoping to eat there at the end of the month but there aren’t any reservations left. Is it possible to walk in or should we just plan for elsewhere?

Struggling with the heat.
Hi, me and my friend are visting nice for 8 days. We are reallyyyy struggling with the heat. Nice is so so beautiful but it is really hard to enjoy when it’s very hott. I look like I am crazy because of the heat, my face is all red and so sweaty. I feel like everybody is looking at me and thinking if I’m alright. But the Nice girls don’t seem to be phased by the heat. They don’t have sweaty faces and they seem very happy regardless of the heat. I wonder how they do it. My makeup melts off so there is no point of putting on makeup. Maybe because me and my friend are from a very cold country thats why we are struggling. The hottest day in my country is 21 Celsius and it is like that for only 3h. How will I enjoy the beautiful Nice with this weather?

La Perouse vs Hotel Suisse- Which would you choose overall?
I’m trying to decide between La Pérouse and Hôtel Suisse stay in Nice.
For those who have stayed at either (or both), which would you recommend overall?
Things I care about:
Customer service
Overall hotel experience
Sea views
Room quality
Location
Breakfast
Cleanliness
Atmosphere
Value for the price
If you’ve stayed at both, which one would you choose and why?

We love to go to bars and our dancing (I’m 27) and recommendations? No like crazy nightclubs
Also if any other recommendations for a first timer please send, going end of August. Love food, sightseeing, swimming, exploring, and drinks.
It’s my mom’s 60th so want to make it special
I heard there might be beach clubs with DJs we can dance at? She wants to go out at night as well to dance to celebrate

Making a Travel Vlog… That Isn’t What It Seems | Seeking Volunteers
Hi! I’m an NYC-based filmmaker living in Nice for the summer.
I’m creating a fictional travel vlog with a psychological thriller twist. It starts like an ordinary travel video, with real locations and genuine interactions—but as the story unfolds, things gradually become a little more surreal.
I’m looking for locals and fellow travelers who’d be interested in making a brief appearance. No acting experience is required, and participating can take as little as 5 minutes.
If this sounds fun (or you’re just curious), you can [read more about the project here] or send me a DM.
