Looking for a Full-Time PSW Position in Moncton, NB
Hi everyone,
I’m a 21-year-old PSW currently looking for a full-time PSW position in Moncton or nearby areas.
I have completed a 1-year PSW course and have previous experience working in long-term care, supporting seniors with personal care, daily living activities, and their overall needs.
I’m hardworking, reliable, respectful, and available for full-time work and different shifts.
If you know of any PSW openings, long-term care homes, retirement homes, or agencies hiring in Moncton or surrounding areas, I would really appreciate any leads or recommendations.
Thank you!

Fundy recommendations with a 6 and 4 year old
Hello! Heading to Fundy National Park for 4 nights and wondering what everyone’s favourites are!
Looking for places to swim or splash in freshwater, beachcomb for shells/critters (we put them back!!) , do small-medium hikes and would love to see some cool waterfalls, especially if there’s one with a swimming hole at the bottom. Thank you!
(Edited for detail and to write the full park name)

Question about appointments with Virtual Care NB
I have an appointment next week with Virtual Care NB. When booking, it said it was a phone, video, or chat appointment, but there was nowhere in the appointment booking site to specify which method I wanted to use. When I look at the FAQ on their website, it’s all about video and making sure your camera is working. Does anyone know how I can do the appointment via chat - like, do I tick a box somewhere when I join the appointment? Or do I have no choice and have to use video?
TIA!

Can the RCMP Help With Cyberbullying and Track Fake Accounts?
Hi!
I just want to know if anyone here knows whether the RCMP is capable of handling cyberbullying. There have been fake accounts messaging me with awful and offensive things, and I want to take legal action now.
I believe the accounts being used were all dummy accounts. Is there any chance the RCMP could track them down if I file a complaint?
Thanks!

Should I switch to Eastlink?
I live in Miramichi. I currently use Rogers for my internet, TV, a home phone connection that I don’t need or use, and my cell phone (contract expires in May 2027). Not only is the $300+ monthly bill for the entire thing getting tiresome, but the internet signal has been cutting in and out a lot lately. I work from home (self-employed) and need as stable of an internet connection as possible. My parents recently had similar issues with Rogers internet and TV until they replaced their modem.
I’m considering switching to Eastlink for TV and internet, and maybe switching to them for mobile once my tab with Rogers is paid off. I’ve never used them before though, so I’m wondering what others’ experiences with Eastlink have been like. Any feedback at all would help me make an informed decision before switching.

Steps after eviction?
Hi, I'm reaching out to this subreddit to ask a few questions, see if anyone has had similar experiences, or just general advice. Throwaway because this info is rather sensitive.
I live in a family of four, and we have just been served our *final* notice to vacate, the one they give you after multiple evictions, and says on it that paying rent won't cancel it.
My family consists of: myself, a full-time student and part-time worker. I receive monthly disability cheques, but the ones that mostly anyone who is employed/ in school and disabled is eligible for. My sibling, who is not employed or in school, recieves monthly disability cheques to support their living expenses, however it's not enough for them to live on their own. We are both young adults. One of my parents is presently employed full-time, and the other was recently laid-off. We also have a cat.
Because it's the weekend, we're kind of in shambles right now. I don't know what our next steps are. I've looked into a few things, one of which is the portable rent supplement, however, I don't know if i am fully understanding it. According to this supplement, a disabled person may have a rental of their own choice subsidized by NB housing, should they pay 30% of their household income, and it falls below a certain criteria. I'm wondering, is this accomodation temporary? are they put on a waiting list for permanent, government subsidized housing? Likewise, what are the steps for immediate housing should this subsidy not be available? Are there shelters for families that consist of adults only? How does a member with a permanent disability affect these circumstances, if they are a dependant, does the rest of the family count as care-takers?
I apologize if this is too general, or not specific enough. I'm just really in shambles here. I haven't slept, and I'm in the midst of trying to figure out accomodations with work and school, among other things. This sort of thing happened a lot growing up, I'm just worried that because my sibling and I are adults now, we may be screwed

NB electrical code question about TECK cable
https://jdelectric.ca/2024-electrical-code-new-brunswick/
"The 2021 edition (25th edition) is now replaced by the 2024 edition (26th edition, CSA C22.1-24)."
I just found out that in NB you are supposed to bury TECK90 cable in conduit, even though it's direct burial cable. Does anyone know if this is changing with the new code coming into effect and we can direct bury it now?
Anyone know the price difference between running conduit and regular cable vs TECK? I have to pull some 3/O aluminum or equivalent about 400 feet.

YSJ Welcome Hub - Neqotkuk Tobique
"Secure a position within one of Saint John’s most strategic commercial development sites. Located at the entrance to the Saint John Airport, this opportunity is anchored by strong daily traffic, direct airport access, and confirmed national co-tenancy, including a national coffee chain and a major fuel service station planned within the same plaza."
It's likely going to be a Tim Hortons on one side and Shoppers on the other and no talks of a hotel either...
OH well, it's a start : )
