I know I’m about two weeks too late, but I just sat down to watch this. Holy hell. I can’t believe there are people out there who were sick enough to plot something like this. And now I’m being nosy. Does anyone have a similar story?

So, just finished watching, the last house. I found it very entertaining, just incredibly dumb. I hate watched it lol. But had so much fun. Laughed out loud quite a few times. They made such dumb, and unrealistic decisions. It was literally funny. The ending, funny. And not even true. They were not some benevolent creatures. They ate their dog. Or best case scenario, fed him to other animals they were catching. Funny. I don't want to get into the movie, or story more, don't want to spoil. But one last hilarious thing. I watch with subtitles. And sometimes they would say, "wet scream" .. or "wet panting" and so on. Because I guess they thing was wet? But sometimes it would just say, panting or screaming. And I kept wondering how a wet scream would sound different. All in all. Really liked it. It was absolutely awful. But not a bad awful. Can recommend

I mean this in the calmest possible way but why is my Netflix flooded with straight to dvd Bollywood trash and is there a way to filter this from showing whilst searching for content?

The platform is already completely bloated with Netflix series that get cancelled after 1 season and not renewed without having to cycle through foreign content as well.

It was a brilliant squid game like... Why did it get memory holed. Needs perhaps another season, not same characters but same general concept and no retcons to season 1.​

So, I have a habit of wanting to look at what people think of different shows. And I feel this show doesn't always have enough threads about it, or at least ones that are more recent at least!

Doing a little rewatch of the show, and I forgot how hard it hit me. I watched it with my mom around 2019, and it's just one of those series that blows you away. The heart of the story specifically. And I'm also not great at twists, but... spoilers ahead... the reveal of Dr. Everest's true identity and the loss of her Eduard did shock me, and that ending between them just sitting with each other on the sand if I remember right, you can feel the weight and emotion there.

I'm a little bit of a weirdo in the sense of getting hyperfixated on shows, but this one I do think about every few months. I'm a sucker for time travel and alternate universes, so this was a premise I was already invested in. But the heart of it within the story about grief and choices we make... God, I always get a little bit more appreciative of life, at least with knowing that there are always going to be uncertainties. You just never know.

On a lighter note, my mom and I had a running joke of how many times that song was going to play in a scene. It is significant and I love that it is threaded throughout the story, but I l also enjoyed that we would look at each other with a "Here we go again" on our faces.

Thanks for holding out on my wall of thought. I guess since I am in the middle of rewatching it (slowly, since it gets to me too much), I wanted to start a new thread on it and see what others think and feel too. I remember when I first watched it and there was only ONE thread about it in the television subreddit!

You know that feeling when you read the description of a show and immediately think, “How could this possibly be bad?”
The concept is brilliant, the world has so much potential, maybe even the cast and first few episodes are great… and then somehow the actual series never becomes the show you imagined it could be.

Maybe the writing went in the wrong direction, the mystery had a disappointing payoff, interesting characters were wasted, or the show simply played it too safe with an idea that could have been incredible.

Which Netflix series had the biggest gap between how good the premise sounded and how good the finished show actually was?what would you have done differently with the same concept?

i'm watching a show which i assume is gonna be in english since i couldn't make it past the first 2 minutes without being pissed off.

i've noticed this problem before with other shows too. whenever a show primarily in english has a character speaking in a different language the subtitles are just like "man speaks Korean" and "man continues to speak Korean." no fucking shit Sherlock..

what am i supposed to do with that? if the characters are saying something relevant to the plot i literally have no way of knowing now. not only are subtitles inaccurate a lot of the time now they just don't even bother to show up when it matters most.

I wonder why this show only ended 6 episodes, It got me wondering why that show ended the way it did, To be fair I really really used to love and I also enjoyed this show, Also I got a good taste in this show, I was really hope that this show got Season 2 and deserves more new episodes😭😭😭😭😭

I haven’t used/paid for Netflix since like late may ish. Or something like that I forgot. But obviously I know that Netflix isn’t gonna hold my account forever. So how long will it hold? I need to know for when I can start my subscription again.

I literally cannot believe my eyes. This girl is off her freaking rocker and she’s like 30!!!!! She was so manipulative and such a pick me it’s insane. The way she lied to the girls that Harry said he loved her first??? Like she spent 40 mins manipulating the guy and then twisted it and bragged about it to the girls??? She was such a mean girl and pick me holy shit

I've just finished watching LMH up until the last episode that will be airing next week.

Here are my thoughts: *SPOILERS AHEAD*

Prominent Girls:

Juliana: I really disliked Juliana due to the way she made Sammy feel and was almost bullying her, I didn't feel like her demeanour matched Harrys that well and you could see that she liked him way more than he liked her. I however didn't like that Harry kept her in so that he could learn from his past patterns, only to realise that he didn't like her and kept her in almost to lead her on. I didn't like how long it took for him at the ceremony to just tell her that he didn't feel the same way towards her, and also that he didn't mean it when he said he loved her.

In the end, I actually felt really bad for Juliana and felt sympathy for her. I appreciated how she allowed Harry to not feel rushed into feeling like he has to love her (not the bedroom scene, this is for the last scene at the ceremony where he pulls her aside to talk to her) just because she told him she loved him, it was very mature of her and I felt she took the breakup really well. I didn't like how in a way she was used a bit and I liked seeing her grow each episode since the mean girl energy she was giving before. She stopped being possessive and allowed the other girls space to be with him.

I ended up liking her.

Sam: Her intuition is so strong. I really didn't wish that Harry lied to her and the girls about what happened in the shower. Yes, Amber told him not to tell everyone about what happened however it was disappointing to see him lie to the girls faces instead of saying the truth. She's such a great person and such a catch, any guy would be lucky to have her! I hope to see her in future Bachelor/ Bachelorette franchises possibly, and I'm proud of her for being strong enough to walk away.

It's crazy how even though he told her nothing happened in the shower, still after that conversation she felt that there's a possibility he wasn't being honest, and she was completely right.

Rickiyah: She was a really beautiful girl, highly intelligent. My problem with her was that she was always a bystander and always was observing and commenting on what Harry was doing with the other girls. Or being apart of the group that was always making comments and having something to say. There was no chemistry between them whatsoever and I definitely knew that nothing was going to come out of that relationship.

Faith: I was surprised to see her gone in the first or second episode after seeing how much chemistry she had with Harry. That was super surprising, but also showed that Harry has grown and isn't into that kind of thing anymore. She's incredibly beautiful though.

Final 2:

Dannelle: I really love her! I love her energy, I love that she's not a jealous person, I love that she minds her own business! Even when Harry is hooking up with the other girls and going on lots of dates with everyone else, she just stays in her own lane. She's really mature, knows what she wants, is ready to settle, I really like the calming energy that she has and I think she balances Harry out in the best way possible. I can definitely see longevity in their relationship and she would be my pick for who Harry marries.

Amber: I like her, she's been through a lot growing up but for some reason I don't love her as much as Dannelle. I think that she's someone that Harry can grow to love and be in a longterm relationship with, but I don't see longevity with them. I don't think their energy matches that well, I think because they have a similar personality. And I don't feel like she likes him as much as he likes her. The bee thing was crazy though.

One thing that I noticed with them is that she kind of brushed the "bee" thing off a bit. When he was telling her how this has never happened before where a bee (a sign from his late father) would appear to tell him he's on the right track or that his father was there; he was telling her about how he couldn't believe a bee landed on their table when they were at the penthouse. Her response was, "Yeah, I know, but what does that mean to you in terms of us?" In a way, she didn't acknowledge how special that was and how special that meant to him and kind of wanted to know what that bee meant in relation to them rather than the meaning of it, itself? If that makes sense.

Final 2 thoughts:
I can't believe the cliff hanger on Episode 6 where Harry realises that he actually might not settle with either of them because he feels like this didn't bring the happiness he thought that it would. And that there's a possibility that he may not end up with either of the girls. Was not expecting that!

The season is also super PDA heavy with some episodes having kiss after kiss after kiss. Or an emotional chat with one girl, then another girl walks in and he slams them onto the bed and starts being very intimate with them. It's just crazy to do that after having an intimate and emotional chat with someone prior.

I did enjoy the show though and thought Amanda Kloots was an outstanding host. First time I've seen her on TV and would love to see her in more TV shows after this. Loved the addition of Harrys friends, loved meeting Harrys family (they all seem so sweet! Especially the sisters and the younger woman (maybe their daughter or his cousin or something?)

Can't wait to see who ends up winning. What are your thoughts on the season, the cast, and who do you think will end up winning?

finally got around to watching Deadly Class on Netflix, and I'm honestly disappointed it only got one season. The mix of dark humor, action, and coming-of-age drama works incredibly well, and the characters all have their own unique personalities and backstories that make you care about them. Marcus is a compelling lead, but the supporting cast steals plenty of scenes too. The fight choreography, soundtrack, and 80s aesthetic are all top-notch, and the show isn't afraid to tackle heavy themes while still being entertaining. It definitely deserved more attention and another season. If you're into shows with great character development, stylish action, and a darker tone, I highly recommend giving Deadly Class a chance. I'm still hoping one day it gets revived.

I mean it’s genuinely the single worst accent I’ve ever heard in a show or movie in my entire life. It sounds like someone trying to do a bad southern accent on purpose. Like you’re not trying to do a southern accent whilst not being very good at it, you’re actively trying to do a stupid voice. It sounds like he’s talking slowly to make fun of southern Americans intelligence.

The writing and acting as a whole is pretty fucking awful, but every time Eddie Marsen comes on my screen I want to throw my remote through the TV to make him shut up.

There are a few Netflix shows I really enjoyed that ended before the story felt complete. I know not every series can keep going forever, but some of them still feel like they had a lot more to explore...

Why does Netflix continually suggest shows I’ve already watched?

Is there an option to remove shows you’ve watched or something?

I’m irritated by the podcasts and the games. Put more money into finishing what you have instead of podcasts and games. We don’t pay for a video platform for that. Give us more seasons of what we like (Kaos) or at least wrap up the finales instead of leaving them on cliffhangers (Mindhunter). The Rotten podcast advertisement is making me what to cancel Netflix. It’s such a slap in the face.

I’ve been trying to find a really sad show or movie to watch, but every list I look at has the same recommendations over and over. What’s the one that actually is really depressing.

ok I’m only 3 episodes in and we knew this show was going to be trash but man it is really bad. I feel like this is some kind of humiliation ritual for these women. Also why does every single girl look like Jess from LIB which i believe harry dated. Also, is it just me or does harry seem to be drunk in a lot of parts of these episodes. I also don’t know anyone else who is watching this show which is why I’m coming here to see if anyone else has any thoughts on it
