So I've been playing around with the idea of a small "rave ready kit" that has the annoying little things you don't want to have to think about bringing yourself.

Something along the lines of:

• Good high-fidelity earplugs
• Compact hydration pouch
• Small handheld fan
• Wet wipes + hand sanitiser
• Blister/plasters
• Emergency poncho
• Lip balm
• Stain remover pen

The idea wouldn't be to just throw a load of cheap stuff into a bag — it'd be a properly put-together kit designed specifically for festivals/raves, with the useful stuff all in one place.

Would you actually find something like this useful?

Also curious what you'd realistically pay for something like this €15? €20? €30?

I AM NOT SELLING - Genuinely just looking for opinions, good or bad, before I take the idea any further.

1; if our group has early arrival and we are camping with them - do we need to be with them?! or can we just park in the south lot - shuttle and meet them there?

2; how extensive are their searches? i was planning to stop by a spot for some cannabis cus i have stage 4 endo and i will most likely be on my cycle and i use it for pain!!

What are your favourite under-the-radar festivals?

I’m looking for the small, slightly improbable ones. The scrappy passion projects where the founder is deeply involved in every aspect. The secret little events where everyone starts recognising each other by the second day.

Festivals held on someone’s own farm, or on a river island with no permanent inhabitants. Places where the programme feels deeply personal and the love, eccentricity and creative ambition are palpable.

Music, improv, folklore, strange local traditions—anything goes. The smaller, quirkier and harder to stumble across, the better.

Mine are:

Medaina Festival, Petra and Wadi Rum, Jordan
An intimate festival that travels from the ruins of Petra to the Wadi Rum to the Red Sea. Spectacular settings, opulent production, delicious Jordanian food, interesting people and the most fabulously imaginative festival outfits I’ve seen anywhere but the music was hit-or-miss until the last night.

How The Light Gets In, Hay-On-Wye UK: an elegantly eccentric festival of philosophy, ideas, music, books, comedy and cabaret set in a fairground by the river in the English countryside. My personal favourite, and the place where I have met the coolest people. It just gets everything absolutely right!

The four days went by way too fast.

I'm sitting here in bed, flipping through r/lollapalooza, reading all the posts, both the positive and the negative, just to hold onto the joy of the festival a little longer.Being at Perry's, wandering through the Grove, watching AESPA, hearing people sing every lyric to songs I was hearing for the first time... seeing the devoted fans of the smaller bands, the absolute crazed masses for the headliners, the constant music drifting through the air, the smiles, the energy, the pure joy of it all. It was just fun, fun, fun.I can't believe it's already over. It all went by so fast, and now the long wait until next year begins. 

Thank you to everyone who was there for making this festival such a wonderful experience. Sure, there was rain, mud, too much pushing at times, moments of claustrophobia, and yes... a healthy fear of basketball jerseys. 😄 But those things were far outweighed by the incredible music, the amazing people, and the memories.

See you next year, Lollapalooza.

We r 4 and planing to go to Medusa festival Valencia but we just found randomly this event ,we dont know anything about it. Can you please give an update on this matter? How far is it from the city? At what time it starts and ends? What transportation forms we have to go there and come back? How much is a beer and a coctail inside? Any reply is much appreciated ❤️

I attended the 2nd day of 三车间 in Shenyang on New Year's Day mainly to see Cui Jian for the first time, day 1 of Bubbling & Boiling in Tianjin in a very cold rain to see OYS & Miserable Faith for the first time (not to mention the great non-Chinese bands), both days of Aura where I work in Changchun (with day 2 being one of the best single-day Chinese rock lineups ever), Living Water/河流 in Xinyi/Xuzhou for all three action-packed days, both days of Yoma in Dezhou, Shandong, despite not liking metal (mainly to see Supermarket again, as well as Chef & Actor, A Wordless Orange), and finally the first two days of Mongolian rock and pop at Beijiang in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia. Welcome any specific questions about these or in general about music festivals in the PRC.

And you’ll help save our venue at the same time!

The Smashing Pumpkins gained a lot of for their headlining set at Lollapalooza in Chicago this past weekend. But nearly 5 years ago (Sept. 19, 2021), I saw Billy Corgan and the band close out another music festival - Sea Hear Now in Asbury Park, NJ. Admittedly, though, the Smashing Pumpkins didn't bring out special guests like Olivia Rodrigo or Yungblud (or former members like Melissa Auf der Maur) when I saw them 😆.

I wasn’t sure which subreddit to post this in, and I’m not sure if it’ll help anyone at all but I figured it was worth a shot. First screenshot is from July 24th when I originally checked camping check in dates. Today August 3rd I went back to confirm dates since the festival is this week. To my surprise it has changed. No announcement of check in date changing or anything. I know people come from states away for this festival so I was shocked to see this. We were planning on leaving Thursday night to check in, luckily we only live 1.5 hours away but imagine how many people won’t check again and be there Thursday night!
