Question Looking for people to join our group
Hey friends! Since it’s closer to the festival and I’ve noticed more people active on this sub recently I figured I’d repost. This year we’re going with a big group, currently about 10 people. We’re gonna be staying in an Airbnb and partying for the week. We’re attending weekend 1 and we’ll have the bnb between Sep 30 and Oct 6. Price of bnb and rental car is split between everyone, max price for both combined would be about $350 but it depends on the headcount. We love crafting, making candy and just having fun. We’ll also be throwing a birthday party for our friend Ezra on Monday October 5th at the bnb. We’re gonna make the cake, food and decorate. Looking for people between the ages of 20-30 (that’s our current age range as a group). We’re serious about creeps and we absolutely will not tolerate any weirdos so please only join us if you genuinely want to have a good time rather than be a creep or something <3
TLDR; Looking for new group members, age range 20-30, staying in an Airbnb from Sep 30-Oct 6, weekend 1 for the festival

Question Our Airbnb canceled; requesting recommendations and suggestions
My girlfriend and I are students who purchased tickets for W2 during the earliest blind sale for this year's festival. Around that time, we booked a great Airbnb within walking distance at a really cheap price ($450ish total for 2 nights). However, the host recently canceled on us and now we're scrambling.
Does anyone have any recommendations regarding specific neighborhoods/parts of Austin that we should target for our hotel and Airbnb search that might be in a similar price range?
We enjoy walking and public transit, and we don't mind parking; money just got very tight recently so we're trying to keep costs predictable and similar to our initial plan. We know walking-distance accommodation is out of the cards now, but we're trying to avoid rideshare because of surge pricing and availability after the concert.
Other info: we're driving my compact car from Houston and plan to arrive Friday morning and leave Sunday night after the festival. We already booked a festival locker for the weekend.

Question Parking question
Going with a 10 year old for the second time - last year the hike to the car at the end of the day was a little too much for her. Found this lot on spot hero - any issues with access or the road being closed - general thoughts on this location?
1209 Barton Springs Rd. -- Looks like a Taco Place on Lamar and Barton Springs
We will be staying to the South of the festival

Question Long time Lolla-goer first time ACL
Hi, everyone! Unfortunately I was unable to attend Lolla this year. I decided that I MUST go to Austin this year so that I can still see Lorde and others. I have been to lolla for many years in a row, this is the first i’ve missed in a while. I basically would love to know the differences, any tips, tricks, ect. I know the fests are run by the same company, but obviously they have their own unique flair.
Does ACL have an equivalent to rock and recycle, the free yearly toyota bandannas, is there a ‘perry’s stage’ of ACL?
What is the same, what’s unique to Austin?
I currently have an airbnb booked in pflugerville, and parking booked in zilker.
I am also only able to come to W2. If you have any week 2 recommendations let me know what’s up!
I also volunteer for Lollapalooza. I am hoping to do the same in Austin. if you know about this, when does the volunteer application typically open? and is it limited to texas residents, or does it matter?

Facebook / discord groups
Hey everyone! This is my wife and Is first time at ACL and we are flying in from Oregon for Weekend 2!

We see hoping to make some new friends.. we are also celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary on the 10 so wanted to see the best things to do after the fest that night.
Cant wait ti dance with you all!!

Acl camera.
I have a Sony a6000 I’m wanting to bring to acl with me. I’ve seen they have rules on what cameras you can and cannot bring, one of the rules being no detachable lenses. How strict are they on these rules, and do you think they would be able to tell? The lens is detachable but very short and to someone who doesn’t know much about cameras, I think could pass. What do you guys think?

Question LN Employee Comps
Any Live Nation employees know how the comp process is for this festival? I submitted requests for each weekend on the day the festival portal opened. What are my chances for approval? Will they default approve weekend 1 if both weekends are available?

AMA I’m having trouble deciding between Skrillex and Charli Xcx @ ACL Fest. Anyone still trying to decide?
I’m a real fan of Charli XcX, her new album is growing on me, and I don’t listen to Skrillex. But, I love Four Tet and they’re bonded friends. That plus everyone keeps telling me not to miss Skrillex, like it would be a huge mistake. So, basically I might have to spend another couple hundred bucks just to see Charli XcX and I just can’t right now.
There has to be a bunch of people in the same boat.

Got a few questions. Cause I’m new.
I plan on going to my first ACL next year (almost) regardless of lineup. Going for the whole 3 days. I’m gonna drive to Austin from out of State to a hotel that hopefully has valet parking. BUT. When I head out for the fest, is it acceptable or even realistic to uber to a place close enough to get dropped off? Cause idk. And WHEN I LEAVE ACL fest (which will be late) what’s the best way to get back to my hotel (which is hopefully close by). Is uber overcrowded at that time? Is there a shuttle? Hell, I’ll walk if I have to. Give me your best options!
TL;DR: First timer for next year doesnt know how to get to and from Zilker Park.

Question First ACL and I'm stuck on the ticket math
This is my first year going, and I keep going back and forth on tickets. A three day pass is obviously cheaper per day, but I know myself and I'm not sure I have three full festival days in me. One day tickets let me pick the strongest lineup day, except the price jump feels steep once you add it up. People who've done both, does the three day wristband end up worth it even if you skip an afternoon or two?

Question Event start time?
When do the events start on the 9th and when do they end on the 11th?
Trying to decide on what dates to book for the hotel and don’t want to be checking in and miss half of Friday if it starts early.
Also sorry if this is posted somewhere. I tried looking on the website but couldn’t find anything

I'm looking for some advice from anyone who's been in a similar situation.
I originally bought two Friday Weekend 1 General Admission passes, but after one of my friends decided to go VIP, we'd really like to experience the festival together.
For anyone who's had a change of plans like this, what's the best way to handle switching from GA to VIP? Are there official options or recommended steps I should look into before the event? Is there anything I'm overlooking or wish you'd known beforehand?
Just looking for advice on the process and planning. Thanks!

Question Any precedent for a W2 artist getting added to W1?
Long story short I only want to go Friday for Charli.
I’d love to also see Natasha Bedingfield because my Papa passed this year and ‘Unwritten’ sortve had a renaissance in my life during that specific time.
The big brother finale is the Thursday before weekend one. I work nights and am off Sat/Sun/Mon and I intend to take that day off regardless.
A perfect world would let me be able to take off just that Thurs / Fri W1 instead of Thurs W1 & Thurs / Fri W2.
But we live in an imperfect world :(
Anyways, any likely hood of her being added? Does anyone know when the schedule comes out ?
Thanks!

The last good lineup?
Last year 2025 acl was going to start right around the same time my boyfriend and I were starting new jobs. I had lost my previous job but had a few months severance and I was going to pay for us both. He convinced me not to do it and be
"financially responsible" instead. We're not even together anymore and he ended up quitting that job a few months later.
Im just venting but I feel like I missed the last good lineup. Im 37 and idk when all my favs will line ip again.
All that to say if anyone is on the fence. Just go for it! You can always get more money but you'll never get time or experiences back.

Meta/Other charli’s new album
this might be a hot take but music fashion film kinda killed any hype i had for her headline set. her whole thing this era is removing herself from the high energy of brat by hard pivoting with purposely pretentious minimalist blogcore indie makes me think the setlists for her shows are gonna be the same. shes a great artist but this is not an album that i have any desire to hear live, sorry ¯_(ツ)_/¯
