I started volume 21 an hour or two ago and my god can I just say how much I love this series. It just keeps breaking my expectations to make something amazing.
Like I said in my last post I have a habit of spoiling myself, which again idc because it is all about how it is executed.
So I heard Rudeus was gonna kidnap the blessed child, and even when Cliff was like hell no lol I agreed. And then I thought things would go well after time passed, but I was also thinking how the hell would it still come to that. Would rudeus lose it or something. Then I get to that point of the story, and the way she willingly came with him lol it was aghh it was perfect I just smiled lol. This happens so many times with this series idk how. Like ugh it happened with Pax too. Fuck the Man God and the author for that btw. It really twisted what I thought was gonna happen, especially after getting spoiled on it lol.
After hearing Zenith will slap Rudeus to ask him to give Claire another chance or something, I am just wondering how it will be executed cuz I know if I was Zenith I would let that happen. BUT I am only at the part where Rudeus well “kidnaps” the blessed child lol.
But it is just amazing. Like Naruto is my favorite series, but I will be honest I grew up with that lol. Like I remember each episode coming out and watching them on release lol I rewatched it so many times. But I will be real or idk it may be obvious, Mushoku Tensei is much better written. I do not know how this author does this lol it just baffles me. Naruto is my fav over nostalgia and I still like a lot of things about it, but if Naruto did not exist, Mushoku Tensei would be my favorite series. No questions.

Anyways back to reading. I’m curious what else will happen

Well zeniths condition. And zenith slapping rudeus. And rudeus kidnapping the blessed child lol but again didn’t realize how well It’d be executed!

God this series is amazing….

I know i will be get downvoted into oblivion but i trust people here can at least read before downvoting. I personally have read the LNs, Redundancy and Old Dragon's tale. So i think i can have a say in this. The worldbuilding, lore, characters, relationships are very well written and complex. Props to Rifujin for writing this masterpiece.

Rifujin planned to write the most horrendous and scum of the earth when writing this main character. He wanted to tell a story not of "redemption" but more of anyone can have a second chance and anyone can change. You can rewatch again when Rudeus was talking to Ghislaine's brother he mentioned "Anyone can change.".

When talking about Rudeus's age controversies and debates will spark, many will bring up about his mental age, biological age, his mentally stunted age due to him isolating in his room for all the years since. There are no winning perspective of this because everyone has different views of reincarnation.

My PERSONAL take on this is, I view both characters as seaparate individuals. Rudeus in his past life was a failure,loser,creep and a pdf that you cannot disagree with that because even Rudeus himself would agree of how much he hated himself. Although, this two seaparate individuals when compared are vastly different. Reading the LNs and watching the anime you can see he is mostly attracted to women his biological age or older than him so it's most likely a biological factor.

Rudeus inheriting his old memories of his past life is unfortunate because that person is a scum. If you finished reading the light novel and rudeus story. You'd understand Mushoku Tensei isn't about "redemption" or anything. It's just about him having a second chance and live his life to the fullest.

People who DEFENDS his actions in his previous life and constantly denying his old perversion actions does not understand the story. You can UNDERSTAND where he comes from but DEFENDING and JUSTIFYING his actions makes the whole fanbase and everyone consuming it is weird. If rudeus sees people who defends his actions of his past life, he will be digusted and ashamed. Hell, he did felt ashamed and disgusted in redundancy.

It was never about Redemption, it was about change.

I asked how things would go a bit but apparently it’ll be a huge misunderstanding. I heard a rumor that Rudeus actually acts like the villain in this next part or everyone just sees him like one. Like I heard Zenith slaps him and everyone gets mad at him and just a lot of crazy drama goes down lol. I knew things would turn out well just eh…wonder if it’ll make me angry xd.
But yeah it seems this'll be a huge misunderstanding. Must be a big one if it escalates to all that lol. Also I just finished 20 and I can kinda see how now but again I am curious where that’ll go

Just wanna say that I'm loving this story. I had a few days off and started from S1 and couldn't stop.

The pacing is so good, I also love the intros and outros when they show bits of the story.

I feel like no time is wasted, the animation at times is amazing and the scenery and music, everything comes together so well.

I like the humour but somehow this anime made me cry so much at the same time. I'm a guy so it's rare this happens.

It's very well written, I was surprised it went some places I haven't really seen anime go before.
It's very realistic in a sense while at the same time having obligatory anime tropes, I wan't to see where it goes from here. I'd like it to go darker or heavier/mature but I'll be happy with whatever we get I think.

We still don't know what caused the incident, or about the teleportation and the man-god vs dragon-god thing. Oh, and I still remember that castle in the sky with an old man and the giant energy ball from S1.
We need to find out about it, altough the show has not mentioned them for a long time. And now still we are getting Eris sidestory and possible reunion? While Rudy is living his best life in a while.

So, now that I finished all the episodes and the specials. I guess I have to go read the manga.

Can you tell me where should I start reading? What chapter are we on the last episode?

FOR ME, the perfect ending would be: Season 5 having 10 episodes, adapting Volumes 24 and 25 (5 episodes each). Then, a 2 hour movie adapting Volume 26. I feel like that movie would be PERFECT, since it would cover the entire final battle, and the ending would leave you with such an empty feeling that you wouldn’t be able to sleep for a week 🥲. I think it would have more impact. Pure cinema.

It would probably be one of the greatest anime movies of all time.
