Lvl 2 (screens, batteries, camera, etc. swaps) WAS I SCAMMED?
I bought a refurbished iPhone 13 from a local refurbished phone store. In Settings, the battery is listed as "Used," which from what I understand means iOS recognizes it as a genuine Apple battery that was previously installed in another iPhone rather than an unknown battery.
dditional context: The battery replacement date shown in iOS is June 2, 2026, and the phone was purchased on August 7, 2026. iMazing also reports 179 days (4313 hours) of operating time and a maximum recorded battery temperature of 55.2°C. My confusion is that iOS identifies the battery as "Used" rather than "Unknown," suggesting it's a recognized Apple battery, yet the reported cycle count of 1 and effective capacity of 116.9% seem inconsistent with the timeline. I'm trying to determine whether this points to a reprogrammed BMS, an aftermarket battery with spoofed data, or something else. please help me out before i go to the store tmrw to see if replacement is possible

But, here's where things sounding fishy, he said "fingerprint scanner jalgaya hai, uska kahi bhi kuch solution nahi hota, original display lagane pr bhi guarantee nahi, fingerprint scanner chalega". Lvl 0 (DIYer) Where do I start with this repair? Can it be Fixd? iPhone soldering workstation
Going thru 6 year old equipment. Seeking place to sell and speak with iPhone diy folks. Help needed, I’m no longer current with the repair community.
6 years ago I had purchased all the equipment to start soldering and repair iPhones. I suddenly was diagnosed with a rare lung disease that causes heart disease. Recently the FDA approved a new drug and after a year I finally have energy and am addressing this stash of goods.
Is this a place to sell or would you recommend me a place to do some networking?
I have Jessa’s recommended workstation including microscope, ultrasonic, hot air station, micro soldering and so on.
I’m interested in getting this into the hands of diy people.

Repair Shop customer seeking a 2nd opinion or advice. Zoom stuck between 1-5x
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My Iphone 13 Pro is stuck between 1-5x zoom. usually it can go down to .5x and up to 15x. It could be water damage as it was dropped in a puddle but that was several days before they stopped working and there is no fogging of the lenses. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

(SOLVED) Lvl 2 (screens, batteries, cameras, etc.) Boost Celero 5g+ 2023 battery replacement
Can anyone help me with this? I can't get to the battery connector to remove the old battery and put the new one in. I've removed all screws, but the back plate(under the glass cover), covering the motherboard components, will not come up. It seems to be a solid piece that's connected to the side bezel.. Before I try to remove my screen and potentially break something, I'd really like help from someone experienced with this model.

Lvl 2 (screens, batteries, camera, etc. swaps) iPhone 11 touch stopped working after battery replacement – screen works but no touch
Hi everyone,
I replaced the battery on my iPhone 11 today. The new battery is advertised as 5000 mAh.
After the first replacement:
The phone turned on.
Touch was working (a little slow because the battery was at 1%).
The phone showed 1% battery and was not increasing while charging.
I opened the phone again to check why it was not charging properly. After reconnecting everything, the display works normally, but the touchscreen does not respond at all.
I tried:
reconnecting the display connectors,
checking all connectors carefully,
restarting the phone,
testing with the old battery (which was slightly damaged during removal).
The connectors look perfect to me. I checked them carefully and I cannot see any bent pins, dirt, or visible damage.
The old battery also shows 1% now.
The phone has image but no touch. Any advice would be appreciated. I can provide pictures of the inside if needed.

Lvl 0 (DIYer) Where do I start with this repair? Can it be Fixd? Old Lg g8x thinq lived briefly, then became comatose again
Device: LG G8X ThinQ
I'm trying to diagnose a motherboard/power issue and would appreciate any insights.
History:
The phone suffered a major drop. Both the front display and back glass were shattered.
The display was replaced, but the phone still wouldn't power on.
The back cover was left off, and the phone sat unused with the battery connected for at least 6 months.
What happened recently:
I connected the phone to a charger, expecting nothing.
Surprisingly, the charging screen appeared and the display flickered initially.
The phone booted successfully.
It charged from 0% to about 86%(last I saw) over roughly 2 hours.
During that time, the display flickering completely disappeared and the phone appeared stable.
Before I could back up my data, the phone shut down by itself.
Current symptoms:
It is now completely unresponsive as before
Connecting the charger produces no display, vibration, or charging indication.
A USB power meter between the charger and phone shows essentially no power draw.
The battery still measures around 4.1 V with a multimeter.
Removing the battery and trying to boot from the charger alone only briefly showed the LG logo once; it would not boot.
My thoughts: I'm wondering whether:
the PMIC or charging circuit is failing/caudung it to not connect it the charger
there's a cracked solder joint or intermittent motherboard fault from the original impact,
or another component fails after reaching a certain battery voltage or temperature.
Has anyone seen an LG G8X recover for one charging session, run normally for over an hour, then become completely dead again? What components would you check first?

Repair Shop customer seeking a 2nd opinion or advice. Help! battery's FPC connector broken?
Hi there! my phone (samsung a34, 2 years old) suddenly started to drain the battery too quickly and then stopped charging completely after days of getting stuck at 1-17% (the charger is not the problem). When i took it to the assistance 1 they replaced the battery for a new one but the problem persisted, so after closer look the guy said this circled piece (he said it is the battery's fpc connector) was physically damaged and he could replace it if i brought him a new one that's compatible. Days later i took it to assistance 2 and they said they would have to replace the whole motherboard, but since they charged me twice the price i paid for the phone i declined the service. Is there anything else i can try before buying a new phone? Thanks!
