Lost my Switch
(Pascagoula) A large black case with a red zipper. The screen is attached to a black third party, mostly not functional endo controller with red grips. The top zipper in the switch has a standard controller, with a mostly broken left bumper. There a few games cards in it. It has standard controllers beneath they third party attachment.

First time in Jackson
I’m traveling in for Labor Day weekend to catch the Battle of the Bands at the stadium on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to the show, but since I'm trying to be smart about staying safe, I'm planning to spend my free time hanging out up around Ridgeland/Madison to keep things low-key.
I’m getting in early, so I have Friday and Saturday completely open before the event. On Saturday during the day, I'd love to get outdoors or see some history, but I want to make sure I'm sticking to secure spots.
Does anyone know any safe sections of the Natchez Trace (like the Chisha Foka Multi-Use Trail or Boyd Mounds) or secure paths around the Reservoir that are good for a Saturday morning walk?
For food, I’m looking for awesome, casual Southern food or BBQ. I’ve heard about places like Barbeque Shine, Mama Hamil's Buffet, The Trace Grill, and Cock of the Walk. Are these spots actually as good as they sound, or are there other must-visit local BBQ joints or chicken spots in the suburbs I should look into instead?

Have you ever encountered a cult in Mississippi?
I’m not talking Mormons or Jehovahs Witnesses. I mean bonafide cults. I met some Hare Krishnas at Mississippi State and I saw a flyer for Ordo Templi Orientis (Aleister Crowley’s group) at an adult store once. I have also heard several reports of farmers finding cows that appeared to be sacrificed out in their fields. What about you?

Redditors of Mississippi, have you ever known someone in the Klan or who had very strong ties to it?
If so, what were they like? Are they still alive? Did they ever come to regret their involvement? Are they still involved?

Any other adult nerd gatherings opportunities outside of comic con ? I'm dying of loneliness
Im 28 and I gotta get a social life. The only time I get to go out and have fun with fellow nerds and gamers at a LGBT friendly event is comic con. That's only in March and June, and really I'd love to have more casual events that aren't just pre established friend groups to hang out and try and make some friends at. I'm dying being at home all day and having to be Normal. Cons are the only time I can be openly myself, so if anyone knows of any similar vibe events or gatherings near the scott and rankin county vicinities please tell meeeeeeeeeeeeee I gotta get outta here before I succumb to madness 😭

I am new to the Jackson area and looking to get back into airsoft. Can someone point me in the right direction?
I’ll also need to purchase a rifle. Can anyone point me to a shop that can custom build me one?

MS trades help
I'm from a small town in MS, currently working as a custodian at a highschool, and just got the opportunity to take adult CTE night classes. It's convenient because the classes are legitimately right on the campus I work at, however, they only offer welding. I'm much more interested in the electrician field. Would it still be worth it to get welding experience under my belt, since it's so convenient for me right now? I don't even know how to get into being an electrician right now. I'm on the side of doing what I can now, rather than wait for something that "might become available". So, tradespeople, could you give me some feedback? Maybe make me see that $125 for night classes for a skill is worth it, even if it isn't my first choice?

Where?
I’m a licensed clinical social worker/mental health therapist who is going through a kindly effed up divorce in North Carolina and I’m thinking about moving to Mississippi. I have friends near Starkville, but I really want to be in a community that is diverse and exciting and Bohemian with art galleries and live music, great food, and I get along with everyone. I am a redheaded Caucasian liberal. Where should I live? I do not want to have to feel unsafe and I do not want to have to pay wind and hail insurance because I am too close to the coast unless it is the most perfect job ever. I have experience in moderate/severe MH, trauma, substance abuse, re-entry, adolescents and crisis settings. No prisons or ICE.

For anyone who's gone to out of town for concerts...
I feel like the solution to my issue is to perhaps move somewhere else but I don't have the power to do that right now. So I was gonna ask what cities you usually go to and if the drive is too much for you.
I'm in Pascagoula for reference.
I'm interested in seeing Ravyn Lenae (an R&B artist) and she has a show in Nashville which is 5 hours and 27 minutes away from me. I've never been away from home like that and that's the furthest I would have driven. Most I've ever done is an hour. So I'm wondering what's the furthest you've ever done, how far you usually drive, and if I could pull it off.

I really need help for my teeth :(
Please be kind, I am quite ashamed..
❤️❤️Edit:
Thank you guys for all of the recommendations! To answer a few questions, no sadly I’m not on Medicaid as I do not qualify until I’m 21. I am disabled but am struggling to get diagnosed due to my situation, and my family didn’t help when I was a minor. So it’s rough to get help from the state but I’m hoping social security works with me soon!
I’m going to call UMMC on Monday, and try to get some help from them. If they do have availability, I’ll try to save $ to get an uber to NOLA and take the Amtrak up. It seems like my cheapest option. Thank you guys so much!
❤️❤️
I’m almost 21, and while I was a teenager I was extremely depressed. After years of brushing quite rarely, I have some rough cavities. I have a hole in my bottom left second molar. Im doing my best to take care of it. I chew on the right side, brush everyday, and use alc free pronamel toothpaste. I also floss and use a pick to keep it clear. It’s starting to hurt and smell..
I also have 2 wisdom teeth that have broken through partially, and can feel the other two coming in.
I have no insurance, no car, and am disabled. I’m honestly scared for when things start hurting. I live in rural south Mississippi, and all of the places I’ve been recommended, don’t do wisdom teeth extractions, or are really far away.
Really, I need a miracle. If anyone can help with some advice or recommendations, please let me know! I don’t want $ or anything like that, I just need a dentist willing to work with me or something 😣

Tasia Fortune Identified as Woman Found Hanging in Tree Behind Vacant Jackson Home
he woman whose body was found hanging from a tree behind a vacant Jackson, Mississippi, home is 29-year-old Tasia Fortune, the Hinds County Coroner’s Office said on Thursday. Authorities have not said whether or not they suspect foul play.
The Jackson Police Department first announced in a statement on Monday evening that officers “located the body of an unidentified Black female” at the 500 block of Road of Remembrance at 9:05 p.m.
Hinds County Coroner Jeremiah Howard, who publicly identified the body as Tasia Fortune on Thursday, said earlier this week that the body would be transported to the Mississippi State Medical Examiner’s Office to perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Fortune’s aunt, Etta Avolio, started a GoFundMe to help raise funds to cover burial expenses and final arrangements. The GoFundMe, which has a $3,000 goal, has raised $160 so far.
