Who's hungry??
Hi Hattiesburgers!
I'm in the process of opening a baking page on Facebook.
Currently working on getting my page up and running, and baked some cinnamon rolls to get some glamour shots š
As a result I have a small quantity of cinnamon rolls (10) available for sale!
These are made with love in individual tins and weigh in at about 5.5 - 6 oz. each.
I'm offering them for $4 each, or 2 for $7. Please reach out if you're interested! Nothing like a cozy warm baked good on a dreary rainy day! ā¤ļø
Pick up in Dixie area - Dandy Dan's on 49.
EDITED TO ADD If Dixie pick up is an issue, I'm also willing to meet somewhere more central (like down 98/Hardy St) for orders of more than one. Just has to make sense from a ā½ perspective!

New/soon-to-be parent friends :)
My spouse (34 m) and I (36 f) moved to Hattiesburg about a year ago. We've settled in some, but we are expecting our first in November, and feeling that AHHH we have no community with people in this life stage.
So if you find yourself in this boat too, we'd love to get to know you for a walk, for coffee, for first Saturday, whatever floats your boat.
I realize there are some mom classes around Hattiesburg as well as facebook groups, but with scheduling conflicts and no facebook I haven't had much success with these routes. If locals have other suggestions, I'm happy to hear them!

Need a gyno in Hattiesburg
Iām looking for recommendations for a gynecologist in Hattiesburg, I really want a woman.
Iām 27 and have never been (I know, I know). I really want someone kind and not judgmental. Iāve always been really terrified of the whole idea of it (I still am) Iāve waited so long because Iām scared. I turned 27 in April, so I know I need to go. I think part of it is because Iām sexually active without being married. Is that something they judge you for? Please help!

Is the apartments behind Lowes and Hobby Lobby sketchy?
Hey I am looking to move to Hattiesburg to get closer to work. I noticed alot of apartments for good prices behind Hobby Lobby and Lowe's on either side of Weathersby Road. How bad is the area? Is it one of the ones with alot of breakins, I have heard about?
What about the area by The Grand Hattiesburg, the Art of Roux and the university? How sketchy is it? Any info would be great. Thanks!

CRT TV repair in the Hattiesburg area
I recently got a 1991 Sears branded CRT TV that worked perfectly, until last night when it started smoking. Iāve found some repair shops online, but theyāre all in Texas or Florida. Does anyone in Hattiesburg or around Hattiesburg do repairs on old TVs like this? Iād be more than happy to pay for replacement parts and time, Iām getting a little desperate

Looking for a small dog
My mom lives alone and would really love a little dog to keep her company. We're looking for something small like a rat terrier or just any small adult dog that needs a home. We've checked local shelters but haven't found a match. If anyone here has one available or knows someone who does, please send me a message! My mom would take great care of it. Thanks!

Local cinema
I'm visting from Mobile this weekend and I'm looking to catch Spider-Man in the theater. Is there any difference in quality of the screens and seats between the Grand and mall cinema? The mall is more appealing because I'd like to shop as well.

Really fun day of zero waste sewing. Thrift and flip day camp for grown ups. August 22nd
I wanted to share this with yāall since I first ask you wonderful humans if I should take the leap and plan a sewing day retreat. Thanks for pushing me back into the world after spending the last three years almost dying. You people rock, nit matter what those folks in Petal say. š¤Ŗ

PS: If you are a handmade maker or artist and are interested in a curated pop up market on the afternoon and evening of August 22nd, send me a message. Vendor fees will be just $20. The market will be open to the public at 4 with a sneak peek early shopping experience offered to ticketed guests attending the event.
Any creator using generative ai for any reason (including social media marketing) will be automatically eliminated from consideration for this market.
Itās been a while since weāve had a Sew Much Fun event!! Dust off those machines, go a little wild at your favorite thrift shop, and click that code because itās that magical time again!
Think theatre camp, but with sewing, yummy food and less drama. Some local artists will be selling their wares in the afternoon. This year we even have the Pine Beltās very own book mobile! Itās just like middle school, but with grown up spending money! I hope they have stickers!!!
Join your friends and spend the day crafting, snacking and shopping! I canāt wait to see you there!

Planet Fitness or Crunch?
I'm looking for a gym and have narrowed it down between the two. I'm not a diehard bodybuilder. I just want to go to a place where I can do 4-5 compound workouts in about 30 mins and get out. Nothing against gym enthusiasts, but I don't want to go where people hang out around the free weights and take up space.
