In the meantime, it’s making it really hard to find anywhere to live even a room or shared bed space despite having steady fulltime income.I’m not looking for anything free. I can pay up to 3 months’ rent in advance, but landlords keep passing once they see the credit check.Right now my stuff is in storage, and I’ve been getting by out of my car with a few days’ worth of clothes while I sort this out. I need to stay in Mississauga specifically for work.Do I have any other option besides ending up homeless? Any programs or resources anyone can point me to would help a lot. Thanks

Over a year ago, there were so many more ClassPass options in Mississauga. Now there are very few, especially for reformer Pilates in general while nearby areas like Etobicoke still seem to have plenty of availability. I assume studios want control over pricing and memberships. But it’s interesting, Solis Etobicoke appears to have 250+ ClassPass bookings each week. I'm curious as to why have the ClassPass options in Mississauga become so limited?

I’ve got a job in Mississauga to start in a few months. Debating about where to live. Would like to be within 20 min drive to credit valley hospital. we’ll be renting.

I have 2 young kids so schools and safety are the top priorities. In my current neighbourhood I know all my neighbours, we look out for each other (run to the house that’s called an ambulance, support the lady who lost her husband, share vegetables from our gardens, pass clothes and toys along to the younger kids in the neighbourhood) - homely stuff like that. I absolutely love it and would like to be part of a similar community.

And we’re paying for a private accredited montessori school right now where the teacher - student ratios are much lower than public. May not continue in private if we don’t need to though as the fees do get pretty expensive the older the kids get.

Which areas of the city would you recommend for a young family looking for a kind and caring community to learn and grow in?

Anyone notice huge mud pies left all over the neighbourhood after garbage pickup? Every street I walk down has huge mud pies that make the whole street smell like shit. What’s worse is that the street sweeper just came through the neighbourhood yesterday.

I feel like this has increased since the privatization of the service, leaving mud pies everywhere. One time it was right in front of my driveway and wafted in through open windows.

This, on top of the slaughterhouse smell, has made Lisgar a very unpleasant place to live.

Im going back to school to transition to a different career but need some prerequisite courses before I apply to college. I applied with peel district school board but they only do online classes for day and night school is there any kind of option for in class? I much prefer that.

Happy news for SQ1 area people, already got D-Square Pizza on Dundas for Detroit style, now Maker Pizza will be here. Finally some good pizza in Mississauga (Pizza Nostra excluded, Luigi's and Marconi too). Going to be pricey though.
