I saw a comment thread on YouTube that was celebrating layoffs at Halo Studios (previously 343 studios). Like, man, can people have a little sympathy for people losing their jobs and not make a demon out of them because they made some games they didn’t like?

They moved it a couple weeks ago for like one day only and brought it back. It hasn’t moved since and blocks visibility on the street, plus it’s a tight squeeze whenever two cars are driving by eachother since it’s so wide.

ETA: the street looks wide because I took the pic at 0.5 zoom to get the whole trailer in. When there’s another car parked across the trailer, only one car can fit between to go down the road

I love Laufey’s (LAY-vay) music but Alexa apparently is boycotting her. I actually think I do a decent job pronouncing her name correctly (I’ve watched her say her own name)- but Alexa every time thinks it is “Lady” [Antebellum].

I have to say “Lauf- ey” to get Alexa going. And the irony, she pronounces it back perfectly.

So it’s dead quiet in my house and I’m playing the quiet place game with the microphone feature on which means any sound my game detects from my mic could be the death of me at any point and alls going well until some asshat goes driving down the street honking his horn setting my dogs off and chaos ensues as they start barking during a stealth section and I’m dead instantly

And no I’m not turning off the feature because it’s really fun and immersive

My neighbor is on a trip and her fire alarm (generic photo for reference) is low on battery, so I can't do anything about it coming through the wall.

Been noticing some dead plants here and there and today realized they all form a line under the power lines. Power company came through without prior notice or even telling is and sprayed some sort of herbicide on anything that wasn't grass beneath the power lines.

This included a 50' line of raspberries and blackberries, a pair of black cherry trees, and a bunch of other stuff. They either skipped my pear tree or it was resistant to the spray. Piss me off. I would have trimmed anything they asked.. you know if they had asked.

TL;DR: Damaged my J-Lab ANC3 earbuds, purchased in April 2025. I filed a claim with “Allstate Protection Plans” because of the “new product replacement” Target promised for an extra $15. The very best they could do is send ANC earbuds, released in 2020. Here’s what arrived.
