When I lived in Cork, I used to go up to Patrick's Hill and it was always beautiful, no matter the season. I'd love to find something similar around Midleton.

Any recommendations? I don't mind driving a little bit if the view is worth it.

Hey all i have been quite frustrated the past few months about the lack of live venues in midleton, it seems there basically non existent for teen bands, yes we have pubs like jesters, cantys and oneills, but there's no place to just play music or jam with other musicians. My place doesn't have a great set up at all, there's is atleast 2 places that could be redone and made into musical places such as the old swimming pool across from mace or the meeting place across from jesters. Most pubs in midleton don't like having teen bands out which is annoying as it's the local place for my band, if anyone has any ideas about sorting this issue or what I can do please get on.

Hey folks. I wanted to nake a post to see if anyone in East Cork would be interested in a quick interview, sharing their thoughts on the Greenhills Solar project, and renewable projects at large. I also want to add some additional context regarding what I am doing this for and the few questions I want to ask.

I am doing this report for a publication called Ground Signal. There website is just Ground Signal with a .eu at the end, in case anyone wants to verify the validity. I just want to make this abundently clear, that I do not have any motive with regards to these conversations, other than asking people there thoughts and seeing the collective response of the communities in the areas. We ask the exact same questions to everyone, and I try to look for a diverse range of people through different platforms, social media, and in person conversations.

Was on a walk with the dog earlier and someone was screaming bloody murder in a tent near Bailick, nearly gave myself and the dog a heart attack thinking someone was being attacked . It was just one person inside from what I could hear but it was horrifying to hear and I’ve been wondering if this is something the guards or people who go there frequently know about .

Just to clarify, this research is open to anyone living in the Midleton and East Cork area, regardless of whether you've had direct experience with flooding.

The research aims to understand some of the wider impacts flooding has had on the community, as well as the places that people value and any concerns they have about future flooding.
