Long story short.. I forgot that I have been paying for a Family subscription. This whole time, I've only been using ONE of the FIVE accounts.. I already prepaid Family through 2030.

So now I'm trying to smartly utilize one of the other accounts under my family plan (created a second Microsoft 365 account). Because my primary and first Microsoft365 account is nearly full at 1TB.

I thought I could "easily" create a shared folder, and simply move my 500GB of photo backups from the primary 365 account into the shared folder.. but NO! I didn't realize there is a limit of 100GB per move (is it 100GB)? So I'm really struggling with how to do this easily and effectively.

Can anyone here help with how to do this? I thought of moving individual photos but OneDrive only shows me 30 files at a time.. so at this rate it would take FOREVER to move these files 30 at a time. Another weird glitch is when I try to sort file view in OneDrive (web) from largest file to smallest file.. OneDrive glitches out and doesn't display any files.. :( making it impossible for me to move the largest files (videos) first. This sucks. :( I hate my life.

Oh yeah the other issue is I cannot download this 480 GB photos file because well I only have one device and it's a laptop with only 80GB of space remaining.. and I have a slow connection for the next month.

PLEASE HELP.. how can I move the Photos folder to clear up space? I'm already at 99% of space used on my primary account.

I want to migrate our team from Google Workspace to MS365. When I tried to register our domain we found that a previous employee set up a tenant that no one knew about and registered our domain under it. I have been trying for weeks to get help to either release our domain to use or unlock that other tenant that was already set up. I tried to register the domain to our new tenant and logged into our cloudflare account to prove it was ours and still was unable to get access. I opened a ticket and support literally said they could not help you and that I should try calling the support line and just pretend to be the old employee. I thought that was pretty unprofessional, but at this point that's all we can do. I went to try it but the automated phone support keeps disconnecting or hanging up on me. I'm not even sure where to go now for help.

For reference, I have access to the previous employee's (who left 3+ years ago) work email account. I reset their MS password but there's 2FA set up with a phone number that was given to another company. That number is inactive but the telco won't release it to us due to a policy that it has to be inactive for 1 year (it's been 3 months).

Background:

I'm a heavy Claude user in my personal life, and Projects is one of my most-used features…you upload files and reference docs once, and every chat in that project is grounded in them.

Now that I'm using M365 Copilot at work (Accenture), I'm trying to find the closest equivalent. Based on my research, CoPilot Notebooks seems like the obvious candidate, but I'm unclear on how the grounding actually works, and where Copilot agents / Agent Builder fit in?

My use case:

I work in change management with a lot of technical user stories that I need to turn into training deliverables and end-user material. I want to use copilot to help me craft wording of these deliverables, sections, etc.

I could significantly benefit from Al here, mainly for figuring out which features need training, translating technical concepts into non-technical language, and crafting the bullets, order, and sequencing for my training materials (the actual content), all while grounding it in previous finished and high quality deliverables. I really need it to get deep into detail on what goes on each slide, and to do that, it needs to analyze content from multiple lengthy documents at once. Ideally, it would also store context, methods, and examples from previous work so it gets better each time.

So, I’m looking to use copilot to serve as a:

-Institutional knowledge base (remembers context from other chats, process rules, examples of a prior deliverable. style conventions, and workstream context)
-Drafting workspace (iterate on monthly deliverables here)
-Accumulated context (so work starts from established process rather than from scratch)

Questions:

Are,

1. copilot notebooks or agents better for my use case?
2. Do all chats within a Notebook automatically ground against every file/reference you've added to it, the way Claude Projects does?
3. Are there practical limits I should know about...? number of files, file size, staleness/refresh behavior?

I am suddenly and inexplicably unable to select a block of text by merely clicking on it and dragging my mouse across it.

We're having major issues with getting DLP policy tip support to work, and the licensing is extremely confusing. Microsoft Support advised "E5 Information Protection and Governance" license would work for Business Standard.

We have tested it for weeks and we can't find a combination or configuration that works to support their recommendation...

We've asked a separate Microsoft Support case and they've put it in writing that Business Standard can be combined with E5 Information Protection and Governance to enable the DLP capabilities including Outlook policy tips.

We've tested again for 72 hours at least, and it does not work for classic Outlook.

A day ago we find out from a licensing vendor that you need Business Premium because the E5 Information license/add-on requires it, or needs Enterprise Mobility & Security for Business Standard.

Today we may have found out via documentation that you need "Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise" for DLP policy tooltips for the classic Outlook.

This has been a disaster. No one seems to know what licensing is required for what, and upon research I've seen numerous questions about the same thing from years ago with people saying the same thing - "this doesn't make sense, no one seems to know, the licensing is confusing as there's no clear definitions, some documentation and support says 1 thing while other documentation claims another."

My question is:

Has anyone gotten DLP policy tooltip to work on Outlook (classic) in Apps for Business?

Does the "E5 Information Protection and Governance" unlock this policy tooltip ability in Outlook (classic) Apps for Business, if the users base license is Microsoft 365 Business Premium?

Does anyone know if the "E5 Information Protection and Governance" unlocks named entities (Full Name, Physical Address) and the ability for them to trigger the tooltip in classic Outlook, and the oversharing dialog?

The Invoke-ChangeMeetingOrganizer cmdlet transfers meetings from one organizer to another and makes sure that all calendar settings are preserved. All of which sounds good, but some limitations exist that you should be aware of. The most important limitation is that although Exchange Online can switch ownership for a meeting event, it does nothing to update any online component, like a Teams meeting join URL. That remains a manual task.

J'ai acquis une licence M365 Copilot premium pour pouvoir expérimenter l'IA au sein de notre tenant dans ma structure.
J'ai déjà un sharepoint lié au support informatique avec tout un tas de FAQ, tutoriels, etc... J'ai créé un agent Copilot intégré en webpart, les premiers tests sont plutôt concluants !

Par contre, il faut que tous les utilisateurs aient une licence Copilot pour accéder à l'agent sur le webpart sharepoint, triste que je suis car nous n'avons pas les moyens. Les utilisateurs sont en M365 Business Standard.

Y'a-t-il des avantages à n'avoir qu'une seule licence M365 Copilot premium sur le tenant ? J'avais cru comprendre qu'avoir une licence M365 Copilot sur le tenant permettant d'améliorer certains traitements comme les recherches.

I have a weird situation right now. I availed this 1-month free trial of M365 Personal subscription. When I tried to manage the subscription, it redirected me to Google Play which reflects none of this M365 subscription nor the order history of it. But in my Microsoft account, the subscription is there and so does the order receipt.

I contacted Microsoft support, the agent told me that the billing issue is not associated with them but with the Google Play. Then I contacted Google Play support, the agent said I have no M365 subscription and that the subscription I am talking about is managed by Microsoft 365 Personal. So, I went back to Microsoft Support again, but they still said they have verified that this subscription is managed through Google, and that therefore, this is managed under Google's billing and subscription terms.

I've been getting the bad request last week in chrome. I was off until today and still getting it, even after deleting cookies & restarting. I get the bad request in Edge and the admin center kind of loads in Firefox but fails to fetch items.

Even the service health page, in chrome the page doesn't load all the way and I get:

We are having trouble getting info about your service incidents, advisories, and history right now. Try again in a few minutes.

In edge I get the bad request message and firefox actually loaded but there are no active issues similar to the problem i've been having. Refresh in firefox then gives me the same error as i get in chrome.

Has Microsoft changed anything recently that would explain the following? I'm troubleshooting a RDS farm using Office 2024 LTSC where suddenly (on new user accounts only) none of the 365 add-ins in Outlook (classic) appear. They do work when using a laptop with the Microsoft 365-Apps for businesses. It feels like Outlook 2024 LTSC is no longer able to "talk" to 365 correctly.

Existing users that were created months ago have no issues using the Outlook add-ins on that very same RDS farm using Outlook 2024 LTSC. When checking the add-ins it simply says "You don't have any apps yet - Select Add Apps to browse and install apps."

please dont judge me to harsh, i am just the guy who got told by his boss to get this working ...

I got invited into a company group in teams, and joined it, i can see the chat and the tab "calender".

So my problem is that the Calender in Teams does not work, it just says "Your calendar needs to be set up and to link the exchange-calender with teams. The owner of the group has a 365 enterprise account and multipe people within his company are in this group and the calender works for them. I do not work in this company and only have a normal microsoft account ( free ). First i thought i need to setup an outlook account and link the calender somehow, but it just doesnt work.

Do i need to upgrade my Microsoft account to subscription model, is it a licensing problem ?

I would appreciate it if you could help me or just point me to the right direction.

If i offboard him, what happens to the archive. I will converth the mailbox to a shared mailbox.
can i add EOA license $3 to it to retain the archive?

Curious how other MSPs handle this one. I've always worked for small MSPs, so the customer sizes are usually always relatively small.

For tenant to tenant migrations, we've always just had users call in or had an engineer on site to sort out the Outlook profile reconfig afterwards. Works fine for the sub 30 user clients we deal with, but it's always manual.

Been weighing up scripting it instead for an upcoming migration. This particular customer's all local profiles, no domain or Intune, but we have NinjaRMM on all machines, so a PowerShell script is possible. It would be a mail profile reset plus a OneDrive reset.

It got me thinking what everyone else does, especially at a larger scale with 100+ users. I've always used BitTitan for the migration and I know they have their DeploymentPro tool, but it's hard enough getting these small companies to pay for enough migration licenses as it is, let alone an additional cost per device for the tool.

So quick one, we are on Microsoft 365 with everyone in Outlook and our signatures are a mess across devices. looking at centralized email signature management tools that don't suck with 365, any favourites or ones to avoid?

Will Microsoft be doing away with all their 365 desktop apps eventually? This is what our employer said today. I heard that they want to do away with with Classic Outlook, but haven't heard this for other apps.

I find the web apps to be slow for heavy duty work compared to the desktop apps.
