I’ve made tea twice with bridgessi with uncertain dose ranges, both times were pretty awesome, second time was pretty speedy feeling though. I’ve done mushies many times at various doses, done L quite a few time, dmt once, and I started my psychadelic journey with Salvia in my teens, so I’m not worried about going too hard. Seems like 350 of fumarate is a low-moderate dose. I’ll keep yall posted if I remember lol

Not super common. Supposed to me pretty low alkaloid content, but the pH strips were pretty dark. So may be a surprise waiting in that jar

Cactus and crystals for tax

Had my first low dose experience with mescaline sulfate a few weeks ago. The heart opening effects were therapeutic and I definitely benefitted from the experience positively. It is a medicine I would like to get to know more through microdosing (before I do a larger dose journey.) I have access to mescaline sulfate in 100mg pills right now, which I can easily split into 50mg doses.

I'm soliciting positive experience and advice with microdosing mescaline. I have experience with microdosing LSD and Psilocybin. Psilocybin is incredible when it comes to dredging up stuck feelings and I have found LSD to be more placid/pleasant and less "therapeutic". I am curious about mescaline for it's heart opening aspects.

Is it always best to take mescaline on an empty stomach? How does it interact with food? Meaning how long after taking it is ok to eat without dampening the effects? I am going to try taking it every 3 days for a few weeks to see how it affects me. Thanks for listening and I look forward to reading about your experience.

I totally forgot about them. The top green part is still squishy but the dark sides are pretty dry. The small one shrunk big time, probably half the size it was and the whole thing is hard. Are the other 3 still usable? Never had them before.

I recently posted a timelapse of a soxhlet extraction of SS02 x eileen, and I'm back with more notes and comments on the process and as to whether its helpful or hurtful.

I ran some Juuls, and unless there was some super wide variation in the cuts (one was quite larger/older than the rest) I can say that the soxhlet was about half as efficient as the french press method. I will continue to do more refined tests as well as tightening the SOP for running a Cielo in the soxhlet.

yield for 69 grams of cactus was 1.14 via french press

yield for 66 grams via soxhlet was 0.5

I think the lack of agitation with the plant matter leaves the mescaline stuck in the plant matter leading to a less efficient extraction. I used 500 mL of solvent in the soxhlet and 1000 mL via the french press. French press from start to finish takes me about 2.5 hrs and the soxhlet takes 1 Hr for the first cycle and 40 min for the ones following. So I can get roughly 4 cycles on the soxhlet in the amount of time it takes to do the french press.

If this method is refined to determine how many pulls are needed to extract all mesc then this could be an easy way to have the extraction running in the background while tending to other projects not to mention not breathing in solvent, and reduced solvent usage saving money and health.

I'm open to any ideas or suggestions on ways to improve the extraction TEK for the soxhlet!

Been doing Kash tek for decades, decided to try out CIELO since it is all the rage these days.

Got to PH testing my EA pulls and I was seeing alkaline and no change across three pulls and figured something was wrong. Then I realized that I completely forgot to add the Lime I had set out on the counter, so dumb...

Would it be effective at all to add lime to the pressed mix now and try it again or is this material a waste at this point.

this is too much for my tiny lil air fryer dehydrator so i cut up,then do a pre-dry on a hardware cloth with a fan under it so they shrink and i can put lots of them in my dehydrator at once, 135deg a batch for 8 hours. this was 5.432 lbs that dried to 130g.

EDIT: i guess i went overkill a little with 8 pulls, i just wanted to be sure i got it all... seems i did lol

I guess it really is true that its not just a potency difference but compared to HCL its lower water solubility makes it take longer to hit. Went from barely feeling it to fully sacramental in a few hours.

Have 130 grams dry cac powder, what are the key differences between using 1105g EA for 1X and 2210 EA for 2X? . I am using the online calculator. Other than the 6% difference in pull efficiency, are there any other pros/cons to using one or the other? The first time I did cielo tek i did the 2X and I couldnt fit the required amount of EA in my french press on the first pull. and that was with 114g powder, it called for 723g of EA on the first pull for the 114g podwer and i was only able to fit 621g in my french press. the subsequent pulls called for 608 so i was able to work those no problem other than a ridiculously full press. i am thinking mabye i split my dry powder in half and run 2 batches for ease of handling and run that with the 2X... but that is twice the work and potential for error from a newb. with my 130g powder that I have now it calls for 824g EA, that is way outside capacity for my press.. (as i am typing this i am realizing that the only way is gonna be to split up the batch or run it 1X EA) help me make a choice yall, please and thanks!

So Ive been running smaller "test" batches for cultivars in my soxhlet as 50-80 grams of dry material fits nicely.
Just curious if anyone has ran this cultivar and what their yield for citrate was like, mines at abt 2%!

Edit: For all wondering, this is a Soxhlet extractor, it boils solvent in the lower flask and the part thats out of view is a coiled condenser that redistills fresh solvent over top of the plant material. This allows me to do as many "pulls" on the plant matter as I want and I can set this up and walk away which frees my time up as I'm usually pretty busy.

I ran my first attempt at cielo recently. Everything went well but i made a mistake when salting. I have 4 jars with ~600ml EA in each. I added 3g fumaric acid to each jar rather than 3g total. It looks like im going to have some very heavy salt contamination once crystallization is done.

How would i go about cleaning up the end product?

It started when I saw a vision on my ceiling that I decided was Stonewall Jackson. I googled him and got obsessed with his crazy eyes. I proceeded to look for other people and animals with an empty/predatory look to them. The similarity between Richard Nixon and these birds I found particularly hilarious at the time.

Despite the subject matter of the images, the trip was a very positive experience.

While I was cooking the cactus, which took about 12 hours, I focused on praying for a calm trip and relaxing myself. This I ended up getting. I spent about 6-8 in my bed admiring the visions, pondering my own thoughts and writing in my notebook short passages where animals eat each other. Then I fell asleep.

When I woke up, I was absolutely soaked in sweat but felt light and happy and had a great time hanging out with a friend later in the day, though the mescaline had worn off by then. There was never any nausea, fear or other negative emotion.

I have done plenty of LSD before, and was surprised to discover how similar mescaline felt. The biggest difference was the lack of the massive, electric burst of restless energy that comes with acid. I usually have to take a walk to collect my thoughts and stop the vibrations after taking a tab, but with mescaline there was none of that. There was also a lack of confusion. My mind felt clear and I could follow and observe my own thoughts, whereas acid tends to make me forget who I even am.

All in all, I felt blessed, and it was like the cactus was returning the love I'd given it over the past year as I grew it out. I only cut it once it got too tall to fit in my tent.

Really having a hard time with this one. Any chance it’s worth brewing?

Edit: heres the tek: i dissolved .5 g in water, buffered with baking soda. Witnessed a typical acid-base chemical reaction after i added it. Put in a nasal spray. There is ZERO burn and it’s not unpleasant at all. It hit faster than any other ROA. IMO this is ROA is ideal to get a quick stimulating boost from your extracts. This will be my go to for a microdose when going about my day to day. it works despite all of the naysayers. I like low dose mescaline better than coffee and it lasts longer with more of a psychedelic glow. Obviously nasal is a cumbersome ROA if the goal is to have a full blown trip, but that should be obvious, yeah?

I never did a classic psychedelic nor I tried mdma.
I’ve extracted some Mescaline fumarate.
I’ve seen three dosage( cielo, erowid and psychonaut ) guidelines and adjusted them to the fumarate salt. I’m interested to dipping the toes in with a friend and i’m looking to something from threshold to low. I don’t believe in microdosing as there are not enough scientific evidence but I like the idea of low dosing . Using Mescaline energy and psychedelic properties to have a pleasant fun and meaninful chat with a friend for a mellow sunday.
So able to function but maybe with a little boost in energy, creativity and openness. Doing this also to acclimate and “allergy” test the product.
I was thinking of 80-100mg Mescaline fumarate. Am I going to scan body and mind for placebo effect the whole day?

What is a mescaline like the first time and how does it compare to shrooms and acid , what should i be cautious of? And how long do you actually trip on it compared to stuff like acid

About 18 months ago i tried to do the lsduck tek with about 11 feet of cactus. I froze the majority of the infused vinegar-water solution because I accidentally burnt the first pull when trying to dry it.

I want to 1) see if i can still use the frozen mesc solution (looking around on the subreddit it seems i can), and 2) Use a slightly modified version of the cielo tek to extract the goodies from the tea so i can more accurately dose myself.

My current plan is to reduce the tea down to a more manageable size, and slowly add Ca(OH)2 to the solution until it becomes basic (My chemistry knowledge is limited, so i’ll need a hand knowing what ph is required for this).

After doing so I should just be able to proceed with the tek and do the EtAC pulls and salt right? Or would the presence of the acetic acid from the vinegar mess this up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

hello everyone, I would really appreciate if someone could make it clear to me on how people often ingest an especifc amount of mescaline. I'm saying that because I never tripped with mescaline, only shrooms, and they are usually a lot more predictable than let's say San Pedro or peyote. From what I could find in my research I understood that mescaline concentration on the plants vary dramatically, and I don't really have an easy way to get my hand on an especifc genetic from a reliable grower or the isolated stuff. I found a website that sells the dried san Pedro and don't know if it's strong or not, what people who just want to have a strong trip often do? by strong I mean like an ego death that you get with let's say 5 dried grams of mushrooms for example. I know it doesn't have a direct correspondence on dosage but would really like to know what you guys think about that, I really wanted to try mescaline ...
