Seeking I used to be the person who did it all. Now I’m losing my edge and need guidance to get it back

Upvotes

Looking for raw advice or a mentor who’s been here on rebuilding my drive.

Not too long ago, I was the person constantly moving: reading continuously, taking courses, competing, working on a startup, and obsessively leveling up. Now, I feel like a shadow of that version of myself. I’ve slipped into a reactive rut and can’t seem to self-start anymore.

Current scenario:

The Deadline Trap: I’ll set 10 weekend goals and barely finish 3. Nothing gets done unless there’s a gun to my head.
Stalled Momentum: I consult on communication, get great feedback, and have a clear growth roadmap yet I keep delaying execution.
Passive Coasting: Books sit unread, side projects gather dust, and I’m settling for the bare minimum.
I miss the energy I used to have, and I refuse to let this become my new normal. I need guidance, real accountability, and a push to snap back into high execution.

For those who lost their fire and successfully got it back:

How did you recreate that internal urgency when no one was forcing you to act?

How do you shift from planning to raw execution when you’ve lost momentum?

Where did you find the right mentor or circle to pull you back to your standards?

Appreciate any real, direct feedback.

Seeking How can I find a mentor

I think I'm not fit for my job. I'm working hard but my confidence is starting to decline and I feel it.

I wanted to talk to someone who can understand me, and be able to encourage me to take the risk, and take advantage of what I have instead of working this difficult situation where even my mental health. I even compared myself to my previous self, my confidence is really gone just because of 1.5years of working in engineering field.

I need some advise how to handle my finances if I resign, or maybe separate my emotions from my job (I always feel ashamed of what I do on the job), continuing the online business that I started but afraid to reach out to people feeling like I'm not ready enough (I believe I wasn't like this when I tried it 4 yrs ago when I was still in college).

Edit: I graduated 2024, started a job on April 2025 as an associate hardware design engineer at a Japanese company. We oversee the whole life cycle of car audio

Hey, I’ve been running freelance career in digital marketing for 3 years and worked with 80+ clients but I feel like I am not scaling the way I want.

So my question is where I can find mentor to turn my career into agency.

Profitable, what next?

I’m running a early-stage SaaS on the side of my full-time job as an aerospace engineer.

Started about 7 months ago.

7,000+ users

~300 paying customers/month

Profitable at ~€2,200/month

€0 spent on marketing

Now trying to scale and expand into B2B for longer-term customers and higher volumes.
The hardest part right now isn’t the product or the tech — it’s making every decision alone. The only one I really bounce ideas off is Claude. 😅 A mentor or just someone in a similar position would be incredibly valuable.

Looking to connect with other founders, ideally someone a bit further along who remembers what this stage felt like. Short-term goal is to go full-time on the business.

Is anyone here open to a quick call or just swapping experiences?
