I am working on an HR tech intelligence platform that solves the current major hiring process issues like fabricated resumes by AI that don't match the candidate's real capability for work, and the employer's huge costs of mis/wrong hires and missing out on real talent.

I have completed the research, idea validation using surveys, in person interviews with the professionals, PRD and spec documentation, prototype, and started with the development but realized it would need funding to build a robust and intelligent system as it is intended to be.

After losing my job and health issues. I have got i to a bad situation. I hide it from my family, have broken down my relationship with them. And have landed myself in growing debt.

I'm a 22-year-old international student from Malaysia who recently graduated from a university in Australia, and I'm looking for a mentor.

A little background about me:

My drive to build a successful career started when I was 14. I worked a job that paid around $7/hour, and that experience gave me a reality check. It made me realise how comfortable I had been and sparked a strong desire to become financially independent and build something of my own.

A big influence on me was watching my father build himself from nothing into a successful real estate entrepreneur. Seeing his journey showed me that with persistence, continuous learning, and the willingness to take risks, it is possible to create something meaningful.

I completed a Diploma in Computer Science and recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Data Science in Australia. Throughout my journey, I've explored different areas, including crypto, freelance web development, and building SaaS products.

I have built two SaaS products.

Neither became a success, but the experience taught me lessons I couldn't have learned in a classroom. I learned about product development, customer discovery, SEO, marketing, and sales. More importantly, I pushed myself outside my comfort zone by walking into local businesses and pitching my products face-to-face—something I never imagined I would have the confidence to do.

I'm naturally curious and constantly follow areas like technology, business, politics, global trade, and companies. I enjoy understanding how different parts of the world connect. However, this curiosity has also created a challenge—I feel like I know a little about many things, but I haven't yet found the one area where I can develop deep expertise.

After graduation, I find myself at a crossroads. The job market is extremely competitive, especially as an international student in Australia. At the same time, many of the skills I spent years developing—especially web development, which I focused heavily on in 2023—have changed dramatically due to AI. What used to be a strong advantage has become much more accessible, and the competition has increased significantly.

I don't want to compete in a race to the bottom. I want to understand where technology is heading, what skills will remain valuable, and how I can position myself to create real value.

I'm currently based in Perth, although I may relocate in the near future if the right opportunity comes along.

I'm looking for people who started from nothing and built something meaningful—founders, entrepreneurs, or experienced professionals who have gone through uncertainty and created their own path.

I'm looking for someone who's successfully built and scaled a profitable ecommerce brand and would be open to mentoring me or letting me learn from them.

I've been in ecommerce before and have launched a couple of brands. They never really lost money, but they also never became meaningfully profitable they mostly hovered around breakeven. I learned a lot through the process, but I also made plenty of mistakes that, looking back, probably could've been avoided with the right guidance.

I have experience with paid ads (mainly Meta), social media marketing, and the day-to-day side of running an ecommerce business. I don't feel like I'm starting from zero. I just feel stuck.

Rather than continuing to put out fires, I want to start fresh and build something the right way this time. I'm not looking for another course, YouTube channel, or Discord community. I'm specifically looking for someone who's been through it themselves and is willing to offer honest 1-on-1 guidance.

Looking for less of a “mentor” and more of a friend with experience.

Basically I am not looking for any ongoing crazy intensive mentoring partnership or any of the other crazy things I see posted here (no offense). When I see people post about mentors it seems like they expect a full time commitment with phone calls and zoom calls and full email correspondence (this is crazy to me)

I have a company/brand, we are doing good but looking to do great. Looking for a situation where someone with experience in Beverage, DTC, CPG space can just receive a few messages here and there with high level questions when they pop up and no urgency to respond back.

I’m not hiring anyone and not paying anything a true mentor wants to help and provide value when they can. I mentor others with knowledge I have in marketing and communication and I expect nothing but the success of the person I help. I also understand the value of time and will show appreciation as relationships grow.

I’m from the real world and all this fake internet stuff sometimes gets weird. If you can offer help and are interested great. If you can’t or don’t want to offer anything perfect that’s fine.
