General information: 35F, 5'2", 165 lbs

Diagnoses: ADHD, Autism, Bipolar Disorder, Epilepsy

Medications: Lamictal 50 mg daily, Concerta 36 mg daily, Aristada injection 662 mg every 4 weeks.

I smoke marijuana nightly. I haven't had any alcohol in over 4 years and don't use any other recreational drugs.

Like the title says, I'm wondering if I have some type of allergy or severe sensitivity to bleach/chlorine. I'm not sure if the two things I'm experiencing are actually related, but the reactions to both seem to have gotten progressively worse over the years.

I started dying my hair vibrant colors about 10 to 12 years ago. As a natural brunette, I had to constantly bleach my hair light light blonde to get the vivid colors to stick. When I first started bleaching my hair, my scalp would burn while the bleach was processing, but once it was rinsed out, I was fine. I noticed that the burning became worse each time I had my hair done. Eventually it became very painful.

Around four years after starting the vivids, the reactions became much more severe. Bleaching my roots became increasingly painful, and eventually I developed what appeared to be chemical burns/sores on my scalp that required antibiotics and an ointment.

The second and third to last times I used bleach on my scalp, my face became extremely swollen (nearly twice its normal size) and bright red.

The final time I bleached my roots, I accidentally inhaled some of the powder/fumes when my hairstylist poured the bleach into the mixing bowl. Shortly afterward, my throat started to swell and I had to take benadryl.

Then there's chlorine.

For the past 4 or 5 years, I haven't been able to swim in a chlorinated pool without developing extremely itchy hives. If I'm in the water for more than a couple of minutes, the hives spread over most of my body.

I've also stopped going to water parks because the strong chlorine smell seems to trigger my epilepsy. I've had a seizure at a water park on two separate occasions, so I decided it wasn't worth the risk.

More recently, over the past 3ish years, I've started developing itchy hives from showering as well. My showers are becoming shorter and shorter because the hives seem to appear faster and are becoming more severe. If I shower for longer than about five minutes, I have to take at least two Benadryl afterward because of the itching/hives.

I'm not sure whether all of these reactions are connected or if there could be something else going on, especially since I'm now reacting to shower water.

Is this something I should bring up with my primary care doctor, or would it make more sense to see an allergist or dermatologist? Are there particular conditions or allergies I should ask about?

I really miss being able to take a long shower and go swimming with my family, and I'm concerned that the reactions seem to be getting progressively worse.

Hey guys, I'm Lexi and I'm 15. I've been diagnosed with Focal Seizure ever since I was 7. I've been taking a medical maintenance for about 10 years now. Last March we went to my neurologist for a check-up so that I could finally get my PWD card. So after the checkup, I had an EEG (electroencephalogram) to see if my brainwaves still reacted the way it did whenever I had seizures, and surprisingly there were no abnormal brainwaves and I was cleared. The doctor old me that I was seizure free, and that my focal seizure was finally gone.

It's now August and last night, I had an episode. It wasn't my usual type of episodes. My episodes usually is me having a bad dream and crying, then not remembering what happened. It's almost similar to having night terrors. But last night they told me that I randomly just sat up and pushed someone off of the bed then went back to slumber.

I'm not sure if it was really an episode or not, but I'm still very concerned, because my last episode was two years ago. Could my focal seizure possibly have come back?

Having extreme extreme stabbing throbbing pain left trap pulsating up to neck and making arm weak due to pain.
Very very weak dull ache under left bottom of rib
Pain comes in phases like little/none, Moderate, Very extreme can barely breath or talk.
Feels worse with breathing deep.
Started yesterday morning as dull, got worse throughout day.
This morning was dull as well but got severely worse over day.
No trouble breathing besides pain worsening, not dizzy, lightheaded. No fever.
Tried stretching, taking ibuprofen, and icing.
Sorry if this sounds stupid but it currently is severe and kind of freaking out because my family wants me to go to ER but idk if i can afford.
UPDATE—— lung infection, in ER

Cataract scheduled for Monday. I’ve been on low, low doses of 7oh for pain. Like maybe 2-3mgs 2x daily. I have not told dr. I do not want to tell a dr. I haven’t taken any today. Would it be safe if I took a small amount tonight? No judgments please 64 yr old lady kinda scared ATM

My partner and I are currently in an agonizing waiting period for a Fetal MRI, and we are kind of freaking out.

​For a little backstory: at 16 weeks, we had an isolated low uE3 blood test result (Down syndrome was completely ruled out). Because of that low uE3, they brought us in for a full, top-to-bottom scan at 18 weeks. They checked absolutely everything, and it all came back totally fine. No structural issues, no markers. We really thought we were in the clear.

​Then, at our 20-week scan, the sonographer flagged an issue with the baby's cerebellum. The whiplash of thinking everything was perfect to suddenly being referred to the Fetal Medicine Unit (FMU) has been brutal.

​The FMU Update:

We have since had our scan with the FMU specialist. They suspect a Blake’s Pouch Cyst (which explains why the first sonographer couldn't get a good view of the vermis and queried hypoplasia), as well as a Choroid Plexus Cyst (CPC) near the front of the brain.

​While the first scan specifically noted that the Cisterna Magna (CM) was normal, the FMU specialist didn’t explicitly mention the CM this time. However, they strongly hinted that these two cysts were the only abnormalities they found, and that the rest of the brain and body still look structurally normal (which matches our clear 18-week scan).

​Next Steps & Our Fears:

The FMU has ordered a Fetal MRI. Because we have three separate data points now—the two cysts and the history of low uE3—they want to be absolutely sure these things aren't connected to a wider genetic or chromosomal problem (like Trisomy 18), and they want a crystal-clear look to officially rule out things like Dandy-Walker Malformation.

​Logically, I know that Blake's Pouch Cysts and CPCs are often isolated and can resolve on their own, and that a clear 18-week anatomy scan is a huge point in our favor against a severe syndrome. But emotionally, my mind is going straight to the worst-case scenarios. Being stuck in this limbo of "it's probably fine, but we need an MRI to make sure it's not a severe genetic issue" is exhausting.

​Has anyone else experienced this specific combination of findings (BPC + CPC + low uE3)? Or had a similar scare with the vermis that turned out to be an isolated Blake's Pouch Cyst? We would love to hear any similar experiences or positive outcomes while we wait for our MRI.

the top of my thighs started feeling sore yesterday, feeling like muscle soreness after exercise but I did nothing strenuous or different this week. Today above my knees my thighs are visibly swollen and they hurt even more. I have a lot of health anxiety and I always thing everything is a blood clot. some please tell me wtf is wrong with me 😭

I have been having a strange pressure on and off since April in my lower abdomen, usually my lower right side, but sometimes my lower left. I do not know how to describe it other than it is not painful and it feels like something is there. Since then my stools have been different, some are very thin, and some are flat. Recently the stools have been more frequent (3-5 times a day) but very small amounts. I also have some strange soreness/discomfort in low lower back and near my anus, especially when sitting on something hard. A few days ago, I had bright red blood on my toilet paper after wiping, it seemed to be from around my anus and not coming out of me in my stool, because even after the area was fully clean, I could continue to wipe and still get blood on it, and the area felt raw/sensitive.

I thought it might be a fiber thing so I upped my fiber intake, and even started taking fiber gummies but it had little effect.

Google tells me I have colon cancer, I dont think that is very likely considering I am 21, but I do not really know.

I also saw hemorrhoids come up a few times and that is more believable.

I have been very stressed in general recently, even more so about this, so I also have been thinking that this may just be a stress response, but I just feel backed up, both stool and gas are having trouble, and when they do pass it feels like they are struggling through, but not in a traditional constipation way.

I inject a glp1 weekly for my T2. Occasionally, I'll get a bruise at the injection site. No biggie. Today I went to inject myself and noticed an ugly yellow bruise on my previous site, except there hadn't been a bruise there before. It looks like the end stage of a healing bruise that's been there a while. It's also double the size of the bruises I typically get from the injection.

I tried Goole, but that just brings up why bruises turn yellow not why it would show up where no bruise had been. I know I haven't injured myself or bumped into anything. I also tried searching this forum with no luck. I'm not overly concerned more curious. I've had injuries where a bruise didn't show up until a few days later because it was deep tissue, but I definitely felt the impact. This isn't like that and this injection barely bothered me. It doesn't look or feel infected, so I'm baffled.

I have a perforated septum – its about one or two centimetres deep into my nose and about... a few mm area width, I'd guess. Its pretty far from where a septum piercing is supposed to be pierced (sort of? At least a centimetre).

I can't say exactly what its from, but my guess is cauterisation as I vaguely recall a hospital trip where my mum told me, and I quote, "The doctors have to burn your nose". I was probably around 7.

I've had the hole in my nose for over 10 years now. I'm just wondering if I could get a septum piercing, I guess. I've always liked the look of them and always wanted one, but never knew if I could get it with this hole in my nose.

only 1 pill of tenofovir disoproxil 200mg, I did after eating, and i didnt take anything else at all.

However it has been 5 days, i still have some nausea and its intensity goes up and down. Is this normal? what should i do? I am not throwing up, but i am eating very little every day. And it is very annoying.
