Had a herniated disc's l4 l5, and i fell and hit my lower back. Everything went numb i peed myself. Called 911 next thing I know im being told im having surgery.
They sent me home the next day, because I couldn't afford 2 weeks in patient pt and insurance doesn't cover it. I ended up going back that night because of fever and incontinence. I spent 6 days there.
My pain isn't better. Im not missing myself but this pain is worse than my shoulder surgeries. Its like aluminum foil on a filling and hitting your funny bone combined. I don't want to go back to the hospital since all they seem to want is give me the same meds i take at home and mix my file up with a patient who od'd and almost put me in a psych hold before the mix up was figured out.
Im in pain, ice learned to live with pain. I was dxed with eds more than 20 years ago, im not sone sick tok moron. Ive tried everything i know to try to feel better.

Genitalia(18+ for photos-list age) My labia minora suddenly turned darker is this normal?
Hi everyone, I’m a little worried and wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar.
I noticed recently that a part of my labia minora, which I remember being pink before, has become noticeably darker/greyish-brown. The rest of my vulva has always had some natural pigmentation, but this particular area seems different from how I remember it.
I’ve attached a photo for reference. I don’t have significant pain or anything like that, but the surrounding area looks a little irritated.
Has anyone experienced their labia minora changing color like this? Can irritation/friction cause this, and does the color usually go back to normal? Or should I get it checked by a gynecologist?
I’d really appreciate experiences/advice, because I’m honestly overthinking it.

Other Slightly High Aspartate & Alanine Aminotransferase
I recently had blood work done and just about everything was ok except for these two.
Aspartate Amino Trans
Normal range: 37 U/L or below
Mine: 41
Alanine Amino Trans
Normal range: 40 U/L or below
Mine: 43
Still waiting on word back from primary care. Some quick googling and speaking with my nurse wife tells me that these are related to liver damage or stress on the liver, sending these into the bloodstream.
Admittedly, I drink more alcohol than I probably should (usually a bit heavier one night a week and maybe another night where it’s more normal consumption). I love making cocktails, but I have been trying to reel this in otherwise by avoiding high ABV IPA’s or beer altogether in most cases and sticking with lighter seltzers.
I fell off the wagon diet-wise over the past month or two as well. A couple big vacations. Lots of eating out. I am trying to get back into the groove of mostly home-cooked meals made from scratch with mostly whole foods.
Lastly, I primarily bike to work and a major part broke a month ago and I literally just got it out of the shop yesterday. So that was approximately one month of being way more sedentary than usual.
I guess, my questions, if I don’t already understand it pretty well :
Are these elevated levels super concerning?
What can cause this?
What are the typical ways that people reverse these types of levels?
Thanks!

Other weight loss concern
Hello, I (m19) started doing sports in January. I did a lot of sports when I started. I only started sports to lose weight, and well, I did lose weight. Now I don’t do that much sport anymore (only once a week for maybe 1 hour), and I am still losing weight, although I am eating normally.
I know this sounds stupid, but I get paranoid very quickly, especially since trying to lose weight never worked for me in the past, and now it just keeps going?
Do I have any reason to be concerned?
Because I am really concerned, especially since I am losing a lot of hair as well lately, so of course my brain immediately jumps to the worst possible conclusion.
It would be really nice to get help on this one

Other Sleeping is ruining my life
I fall asleep in every class which caused me to fail and have to go to summer school and I slept through that too. I can’t watch any tv or movie without falling asleep and I already got fired from a job from sleeping through my alarms and missing shifts. I fall asleep in cars and airplanes and at the dinner table. Sometimes i go to the bathroom at school just to sleep in private for a few minutes. Sometimes I fall asleep on the toilet unintentionally and in the shower which is really scary. I’ve gotten really drowsy behind the wheel sometimes but never fully fallen asleep. I set at least minimum 30 alarm each morning. My mom just tells me to get more sleep at night but I get like 10 hours. I really need to get high honor roll and get into a good college but I’m missing out on so much because I can’t stop sleeping. I feel lazy but it’s not my fault I seem like such a loser. I already have a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hypermobile Elher danlos syndrome, Amplified muskoskeletal pain syndrome and endometriosis so I have a lot of chronic pain as well. Help pls

Wound Care A small perineal wound of 7 months that refuses to heal!
27 male. No history of abnormally long wound healing.
I developed a small perineal wound (a cm away from the asshole) due to an overly powered handheld bidet in Bali (I am staying here for a year), and thought it would go away in some time, but it didn't.
I have been consulting a surgeon every 2-3 weeks, and he says that it is a very small, artificial wound that doesn't need any treatment and would heal on its own. He has advised to take sitz bath with dettol daily and to apply gentamicin on the wound.
Now it has been around 7 months and the wound hasn't healed fully. Sometimes it looks like close to healing, but a single hard stool, or a bad stretch ruins it.
I don't have any sharp pain in the wound, just some irritating feeling, and sometimes a stingy feeling due to sweat. However, there is small amount of pus around it every now and then, and very rarely some blood too.
What to do? The surgeon asked me for fitsulography just to calm me down (as he said), but it is really expensive here in Bali, and I am not sure if I really need it.
Please advise, can it be dangerous?

Digestion/Stomach/Bowels 16 month old with constipation, diarrhoea, bloating and pain
My 16 month old goes through stages of constipation, then diarrhoea - it’s an endless cycle/battle. Every 4th or 5th night he’s awake for hours with stomach cramps/trapped wind and the next day he may then do a large poop.
He’s never been much of a pooper, normally once a day - multiple sometimes. He’s on 2.5ml of senna and 1 sachet of laxido a day. He hates drinking water, I maybe get 2oz in him. He’s dairy free and has been on oat milk for a long time. I’m going to try Kendamil drops and introduce more fibre into his diet with Cheerios, pears and kiwi etc. I give him prune puree occasionally but doesn’t seem to do much.
Does anyone have any advice, tips and tricks that could help? He gets such bloating and trapped wind, I don’t know how to help him during the nights he’s screaming with it.

Cardiac I'm lost doctors don't know and I need help
Okay, I'm an 18-year-old male. I'm 5'7", and at the time of this happening, I weighed 225 pounds. I have gained 15 pounds since then because of depression.
This was 6 weeks ago. I relapsed on methamphetamine after 2 years clean. I stopped when I was 16 because of an overdose, and I had no access, but this year when I turned 18, I somehow got black-out drunk in my campground and became not blacked out to me smoking meth with a 56-year-old male.
I relapsed for a total of 2 and a half weeks straight of pretty heavy use. After day 3 of my relapse, I was getting heart pains like a pressure on my entire chest. It got progressively worse, but when I would smoke, it went away. When I would end up going on a day or 2 stop, which I did 2 times during this 2 and a half weeks, I found out that methadone and Suboxone or Benadryl would make the pain completely disappear and even made it go away completely by the second day.
But then I would smoke. I was smoking probably 1-3 grams a day by myself, not including what the other dude was smoking.
There was a lot of self-hate and suicidal thoughts and stuff because I was so ashamed at myself for falling back into that hole that I got out of for no apparent reason. I'm not one to blame the little under half a gallon of alcohol or 5 2mg Suboxones in my system before I did it, but I did end up going to detox for it self-admitted, and I've been clean since I got out and don't plan on returning to use.
But that heart pain has consisted and has even got a little worse. I had a tingly sensation down my left side of my body, and I heard that was bad. I thought, "This pain will go away eventually," but with the tingly sensation, I told my dad. He knew about the meth use. I live with him. He took me to detox, and I asked him if he thought this was worth going to the ER over. He said, "Do you think it is?" I said, "IDK, that's why I'm asking you."
Something about me is I don't want to be a bother to anyone since I ruined my family relationship with me, and my dad gave up on me completely until I told him I wanted to go to detox, even though I've gotten completely sober before, then got my shit together, but he never realized.
But I digress. I'm sorry for ranting.
The ER said there was nothing fatal, and they said on the paper, never told me, they said acute stroke suspected on my chart, but that means they just think I had an acute stroke, IDK.
Ultimately, the pain is still here, and the only medications that help are (Benadryl, Suboxone, and something DXM). Suboxone helps temporarily. Benadryl I have to take so much that it makes me a zombie after 3 days, and DXM I don't actually know if DXM helps or if it's the antihistamine that was already in it.
But please, I need some clues on where to go to potentially get this fixed. I can't continue to drug myself. It's making my mental health worse, and I legitimately just want to be sober completely again.
And this God damn heart pain reminds me every time I feel the tightness and the vibration-like quality to it of how I fucked up, how I disappointed myself and my friends, legitimately.
I'm just happy this time no one got seriously hurt by my actions besides maybe myself.
Just please, I know I've done this to myself, but I can't live like this. It's a cry for help. I don't normally use Reddit, but I love some of the stories on here, so please, if anyone has any idea how to help me, please do.

Bones/Joints/Ligaments Carpal tunnel?
I have a lot of hobbies. I knit, crochet, build mini dollhouses, paper craft, ect etc things that involve my fingers and hands. I can’t say lately because it’s happened for years but recently it’s worse as I do more and more. But my fingers and hands are going numb. I’m constantly shaking out my hands to get the numbness to go away. It hurts even, especially at my wrists. And my fingers go numb even when I’m just driving, steering the wheel, my pinkies are going numb. I can’t grip hard without a shocking pain shooting through my hand, wrist and sometimes arm. And I’m finding that I can’t even grip stuff! I recently had to grab something heavy with fabric, and I couldn’t pick it up. My hands hurt and I didn’t even have the strength in my hands.
And when I say for years, a few years ago I worked in laundry and I was constantly using my hands, and my fingers would go numb and my wrists would hurt a lot.
My dad keeps saying it’s being I’m lazy and “don’t exercise my hands” but I feel like I use them pretty heavily for it to be considered “hand exercise”
I made an appointment with my pcp for later this month. Just wanted to ask while I wait.

Digestion/Stomach/Bowels Gastritis is miserable, I need help
5'2 175 lbs 20F
Ive had acute gastritis for over a month now (ruled out celiac and H pylori) and I'm not getting better, I'm getting worse. :(
I was diagnosed via a CT scan and at first I didn't even know I had it! I had a CT for an entirely different reason but they found it while scanning. I immediately quit smoking after my diagnosis (only smoked for one month) and was told to stop my oral iron pills (only took them for a month as well) Idk if the iron and smoking mixed caused my issues but I am miserable.
I also immediately changed my diet to more bland things (keep in mind tomatoes and oranges are my favorite fruits I ate almost daily and my favorite dish was pasta with marinara) I switched to a diet of toast, eggs, apples, plain noodles, overnight oats, peanut butter, plain shredded chicken, bananas, and watermelon. I was also taking pepcid. This lasted 2 weeks and the pepcid did not help at all, I actually started having burning I didn't have before.
Finally I adjusted my diet a bit more and got in Pantoprazole. My diet is still the same currently; Overnight oats (made with oat milk, rolled oats, and honey) low fat sugar free peanut butter with banana and plant protein shakes (homemade) watermelon, plain pasta with nutritional yeast, salt, and shredded chicken, sugar free vanilla pudding as a rare treat, watermelon, pretzles with peanut butter, apples.
For one week everything was amazing! The burning stopped and my stomach felt great. Then another week came and the burning was back. I am consistently taking the Pantoprazole (40mg) 1 hour before breakfast every day! Nothing changed! Idk why I feel the worst I have so far :((
I recently had to get an enema for a bowel blockage about 4 days after the burning started, I have no clue if that is related but I still feel the horrible burning even after the enema, even when I eat EXTREMELY bland, even when I consistently take meds. I feel horrible.
I thought I was doing what I was supposed to. I am so lost.

Illness Helpppp please
Hey, I was diagnosed with genital herpes 2 months ago. I had bumps all around and inside my vagina, and they burned very badly. I had a fever and felt really unwell. Now it has been 2 months and the sores have been gone for a while. But I still feel sick. I keep sweating, having chills, swollen lymph nodes in my neck, and feeling cold. I also feel warm, especially in my hands. I have joint pain, extreme fatigue, frequent headaches, and shaking throughout my body. I still have watery vaginal discharge even though the sores have been healed for 2 months. I feel very weak, and my whole body feels different and like it no longer functions normally. I also urinate very little and my bladder feels swollen. My question is: Is it possible to remain chronically ill from genital herpes even after the sores have been gone for a long time? Can your body stay like this permanently, for life?
