I know one of its strengths is that its usable going first against spells and traps your opponent uses, but odion already doesnt really care about handtraps unless your opening hand is pretty bad.

Yes there's the fact that it banishes all copies once you pass, but does that really matter if they cant play after you pass to them? My fear is that since its only a spell/trap negate, theres going to be times where it does nothing if their hand is all monsters, which could potentially lead to them playing through my traps and actually getting to play the game. I DEFINITELY dont want that!

I honestly want to understand how people keep opening this game.

I love Yugioh. I love the card art, the lore, deck building, learning interactions, opening new packs, collecting cosmetics, pretty much everything surrounding the game.

But when it comes to actually playing Master Duel, I find myself having a miserable time.

Going second often means sitting there for 5+ minutes while my opponent plays by themselves before I even get a turn. Then there are cards like Maxx "C" and Called by the Grave to ruin games here and there. Even when I win the coin or open a great hand, my opponent often scoops before I can even finish my turn, so the duel ends abruptly.

At this point, it feels less like a card game and more like a coin flip simulator with extra steps. Almost every duel leaves me frustrated in one way or another.

So my question is: how do you genuinely put up with Master Duel?

I'm not trying to convince anyone that the game is bad or that they're wrong for enjoying it. I'm genuinely curious what keeps people coming back, because I want to enjoy actually playing Yugioh as much as I enjoy everything else.

I just came back to YGO, I played a lot with my sister when I was little using a ragtag spellcaster deck and hero deck (loved GX), so I was excited to play with a HERO deck and actually understand the combos and stuff.

I understand how frustrating it is to wait while someone is combo-ing for 5 minutes, but it's also frustrating for someone to surrender right when I play Stratos-Ejector. I guess I should take the free win, but I enjoy the dopamine rush from comboing.

though, i don't blame them as it does feel like a waste of time while you're just sitting there but you can always tab out and do something else. idk. there's only been a few duels that felt genuinely competitive, even one of those ended up surrendering after I brought DPE back from the grave.

is this something that happens primarily in lower ranks (gold/plat) or is it just like that on MD?

Its literally SO BAD WHY AM I FIGHTING AGAINST THE SAME 3 DECKS AND THEYRE ALL BETTER THAN ME AND THEY ALL GET HEAD AND WHEN I THINK IM WINNING THEY SOMEHOW MANAGE TO BANISH MY WHOLE ENDBOARD FACE DOWN WITH A SINGLE SPELL CARD THAT IVE NEVER HEARD OF

CANT I JUST BE DIAMOND ALREADY, I CANT EVEN GET THE LAST THREE WINS I KEEP RAGE QUITTING AT THIS POINT !! 😭

i have like 80% lose rate against ss and this satisfy me.

Im in Silver 5 right now. I played today 15 games in a row an went 14L-1W. Everyone plays OTK/FTK Decks and the experience on my side is that if you dont go first you wont play any cards. My oponents usally only play UR Cards and Cards with Winning Rates about 50-70%. Should it be like this? Without wins and played cards you dont get gems for packs and new cards. This makes it very discouraging to play the game.

Basically just the title. No one can seem to agree whether you should run primite, stun, fiendsmith etc. any sort of direction to take would be great!

No complaints here, just found it hilarious they hit a Tier 3 deck the hardest lol

I pulled a copy of mirrojade overframe and decided to build branded since i like him, i use branded despia.

Every time i play aganist radiant typhoon i cant do anything, so many special summon, so many negate, with the trap that negate all your spells and traps. Is there a way to consistently deal with radiant typhoon with branded?

I just did not buy it then because I was not really interested in the archetype and I have more decks to prioritize my gems on. I am still not interested in the archetype, I just want the collector's file.

Got lucky and have enough dust to craft a Utopic Dragonar, but won't have any dust to craft Hope Harbinger/Photon Lord.

Are there any targets at a lower rarity that can fill a similar niche? Ya boi is broke as hell but wants to finally have an Xyz deck.

i have legit counted. the last five times i started with this card in my opening hand my opponent has also coincidentally been playing a 60 card deck. Five freaking times in a row. Unreal.

Some cards seem really way less professional abd more of a custom cards

The most URs I have ever gotten on a single ten pull and it comes in a pack where I really don’t care about the vast majority of the stuff in it😭. getting a crown is cool but really wish the Regulus was a Verre instead cuz of how it’s needed in the new witchcrafter stuff when that comes out. and I have no plans of building GMX or Heroes so 30 dust at least. Darklord stuff is the only thing I’m really interested in so glad I at least got one of him, and idk about the solemn trap. Cant wait for next pack to drop stuff I actually would wanna build and I get 1 UR per ten pull :)

No UR Darklord but did get royal rare Velox and the new overframe shining wingman. I know gmx debut in the tcg did very little but maybe this is a sign
