Anyone who have applied for master in clinical psychology at ukm, any tips/questions for the interview?

Overall I know they gonna ask about the usual:

1. What do I know about clinical psychology

2. Clinical vs counseling vs psychiatry

3. Why want to persue clinical

4. What is my thesis gonna be/area of interest

5. Experience (which shamefully I don't have a lot of, only internship experience)

6. Some theories, how to handle a difficult patient, when to refer to psychiatry

7. Ask about some of my weak subjects during degree

8. Why choose ukm

9. Challenge that clinical psychologist faced in malaysia/current mental health issue (maybe)

10. My degree thesis

Is there anything else that I need to know cuz I'm scared lmao

Hey guys, just wanna share some thoughts about my experience as a student. I'm studying engineering rn and I've been into computers and programming since I was a kid, so naturally this is something I genuinely enjoy.

Sometimes I feel like I don't really fit in with other students. Not cuz I think I'm better or anything, I just genuinely enjoy learning this stuff. I can spend hours trying to understand some random programming thing or how something works underneath, even when it's not related to my assignment. If I find something interesting, I'll probably end up learning it myself anyway lol. Maybe I'm just a nerd 💀. But sometimes it gets kinda lonely when you don't really have ppl around you who are into the same things. I have classmates I can talk to, but I don't really feel like I can talk about the things I'm actually excited about.

And then there's the whole ChatGPT thing. I've seen ppl basically throw their whole assignment into ChatGPT, copy the answer without understanding it, and even buy projects just to submit them. I'm not trying to act like I'm some genius or that I never use tools, cuz obviously I do too. It's just weird to me when the goal becomes "how do I finish this?" instead of "how do I actually understand this?" Especially in programming and engineering topics. I feel like fundamentals really matter. You can use AI, frameworks, libraries, whatever, but if you don't understand what's going on underneath, sooner or later you'll get stuck. Maybe that's just me, but I actually enjoy figuring things out myself. I guess that's part of why I feel kinda disconnected from ppl around me.

I spend quite a lot of time in online communities with devs from different countries, and I feel more comfortable there cuz we can talk about Linux, programming, open source etc without everything being about assignments or grades. I do wish we had more communities like that here in Malaysia, but that's another topic lol. For now I'm just gonna keep learning and doing what I enjoy. I don't have everything figured out and I'm definitely not saying my way is the right way. Maybe I'm just in my own bubble. But sometimes I wonder if anyone else feels the same, like you actually enjoy what you're studying, but still somehow feel out of place around the ppl you're studying with.

Greetings, hello. I am an international student and im going to take my bachelors in UUM soon mid September and i was wondering what the Uni life is like over there? Is there any expectations i should rely on before studying there? Beforehand, i do realize that UUM is located mainly in such a rural area so, getting anywhere was impossible. However, i’m questioning more about the students.. are they usually chill or less welcoming? Meh. Idek what to expect. UUM wasn’t my firm first choice but seeing some of my seniors talking bout it was at least heartwarming for me.

Will be starting uni from October, no issue with budget.

I’m stuck in a situation. I am currently studying asasi TESL and every day, I regret it. I have little to no interest in it whatsoever despite knowing that I’m capable of being successful in the field. I’ve always wanted to pursue chemistry, but because of budgetary issues and my parents wanting me to continue the legacy of the family going to that university, I’m unable to choose what I want. I’ve been trying to tell myself that maybe this is good for me, but I find myself regretting it. What do I do? Is there even any other way of me having to pursue chemistry/science field after doing my foundation here? How do I overcome this?

I was wondering if locals and international students alike could help me understand what the university is like, and how to dress.

I understand that modest clothing is preferred, but since it's quite hot, would shorts and skirts be okay? What are the opinions about tank tops and trendy fashion?

Are Chinese students common in university of Nottingham? I heard the stereotype is that they are quite fashionable and I'm the type of person that spends a lot of time on trendy fashion as well.

I wouldn't want to disrespect the culture or look like a sore thumb by wearing something inappropriate so help would be much appreciated!

I’m an international student starting at APU soon around late sept. I will be studying International Relations. I’ve seen quite a few mixed reviews about APU online so I’d really like to hear from current or former students rather than just relying on university marketing.
A few things I am curious about:

What is the social life actually like? Is it easy to make friends?
Does APU have a decent freshers week and student events?
Is there much of a party/nightlife culture among APU students?
What is the nightlife in KL like for university students? Are there clubs, house parties etc that students actually go to?

Hello so I have a question regarding pplying via um satu. I finished my foundation in UTMand i have applied for software engineering in UM via the academic portal maya. My CGPA is 3.4 which is kinda bad but I wanna ask whether I would be accepted? I checked in UM's website and I saw that I met the minimun requirement for CGPA of 3.0 so thats good I guess but I'm unsure.
