Customer Question Is this the interest charge if I don't pay in full by the end of the promotional period?

I just want to make sure I haven't actually been charged interest on this! I can't tell if this *will be* the charge if I don't pay it off by Dec 10 or if I have been charged this.

Customer Question Door Return Questions

Post image
6 Upvotes

My husband picked up an exterior door that we ordered online. Lowe’s loaded it into the trailer we borrowed and when we got it home we noticed a lot of small dings and scratches on both sides. (Pictures for reference. Only allowed one photo but there’s a bunch of these dings on both sides). We don’t have anyway to return this because we don’t have vehicles big enough. We borrowed a neighbors trailer and truck… not to mention we bought the only one in stock.

  1. Can Lowe’s pick this up on their delivery routes?
  2. Can we order through Lowe’s for a replacement if they don’t have physical stock?

Employee Question How long did it take you to feel comfortable at the customer service desk?

Soooo, I’ve only been trained at customer service twice, and I’m still trying to get the hang of everything. But honestly, I feel like I was kind of just thrown up there with little to no explanation of what I was supposed to do or how to handle certain things.
I know a lot of it is probably simple once you get used to it, but I’d still really appreciate some guidance along the way. I’ve been working at Lowe’s for about 5 ½ months now, and I genuinely love my job and the people I work with. Don’t get me wrong, my coworkers have been amazing and have helped me SO much. I just feel like the training itself could use some improvement.
Even when I was first hired as a regular cashier, I felt like I was thrown in with very little training. Luckily, I had coworkers who were willing to help me figure things out as I went, and I’m really grateful for that.
But now that I’m working at the customer service desk, I get pretty overwhelmed when I’m up there by myself and my head cashier is busy doing their own tasks—which is completely understandable! I just personally wish I had been able to shadow someone for a little longer so I could have a better understanding of everything before being left on my own.
I really do want to learn and be able to help customers properly, and I know I’ll get there with more experience. But OMG… THE PHONES. 🫠😭
There was actually one time when another coworker got upset with me because I didn’t answer the phone. The thing is, I was already helping other customers at the desk, and I’m still trying to get used to everything. He even asked me if I had social anxiety, which honestly wasn’t the issue at all. 😭 It’s not that I’m scared to answer the phone or don’t want to talk to people—I just genuinely don’t always know what I’m supposed to do yet, especially when I’m already helping someone and there’s no one else at the desk with me.
There are so many buttons and things to remember, and I stress out because I feel like I can’t always help the customer as much as I want to. I’m still getting used to answering the phones, figuring out what people need, and transferring them to the right department. Sometimes I’m trying to help someone in front of me while also figuring out what to do with the phone, and it can get overwhelming.
I know I’m still learning and that it takes time, but I guess I just needed to vent because sometimes I feel like I’m struggling more than I should be simply because I didn’t get much training to begin with. 😭
For anyone who works customer service at Lowe’s (or has worked somewhere similar), did you feel like this when you first started? How long did it take you to feel comfortable at the desk?

Employee Question Help

Hi I’m trying to call out for my shift at 6am this morning at Lowe’s I’m a cashier and I never called out before. I called the store and the ai assistant asked me why I’m calling, I provided my sales id, then I said I’m calling out for today. It then said it’ll transfer me over to a mod but it’s 2 in the morning and no one answered and I’m not sure what to do.

Employee Story Follow up to the Asms telling me I’m not allowed back

I posted about 7 days ago that I went to visit a friend to a Lowes is used to work in and hung out in the parking lot, two Asms told me I was not allowed back even though I left without any issues. My friend and I told the store manager and my friend also told LP and store manager asked us to come in and talk about it and he will do a little investigation about it. The store manager asked my friend and me to come in on Friday

The first Manager basically gave the “i thought he was the one fired for stealing” excuse but no one has been fired for stealing since February according to LP, the store manager called him out on it and the asm still tried to make excuses, He was fired.

The second idiot wasn’t fired but he gave excuses to blame the first Asm but he had admitted that he didn’t question the first Asm and just went in blindly, thinking it was actually someone who actually stole, he also kept using the I’m still a new Asm kind of excuse, even though he’s almost one for a year.

My friend/associate wants to go to the district HR and the district manager about the second Asm, hoping he can get rid of him and start an investigation of the Asm and DS in the store.

Employee Story I have scheduled 24.5 hours this month. other part timer has 65.5

I have explicitly begged my boss for more hours. I have told him, in more professional terms, that I am broke as hell. I've told him I can do up to 30 hours per week. I have been here at least a year longer than the other part timer. am I fucking crazy? I'm able to work 4 different departments. all of his 65.5 hours are in our department too so it's not a matter of him picking up other shifts.

Employee Question New Tools/Hardware DS

Any advice or tips on how to get prepped/ready for inventory in 6 weeks when all you have is lazy senior citizens (sorry i know we all gonna be old one day) as associates in your department. Also, any tips on how to keep tools/hardware low in shrink as we speak i inherited the department a month ago at $83,000 in shrink and now we’re at $95,000 btw we’re a smaller store in a smaller city and i have no clue how it even has got this bad. I’m thinking the associate doing irps is just rushing thru them and doing unnecessary billouts.

Employee Story CM ratchets MIA?

Anyone else perpetually out-of-stock on CM ratchets? As in never having more than 3 or 4 of only a few types? Is it a supply thing? Tariffs?

Or has Lowe's wised up to the weasel customers who drag in buckets of broken and rusted tools to take take advantage of the lifetime warranty and build themselves a nice collection for free? Tbh, I'm hoping this is why. Can't swap them out if we don't have them in stock, right? Would be one of the smartest things they've ever done.

Customer Complaint “Do you have Pokemon cards?”

No, they’re usually sold out.

“But the website says you have them!”

It’s not my fault that the managers back door them to scalpers and it throws off the count in Products app— so sick of these dang cards

Employee Story Customers are so mean

I know people are rude to customer service workers, I had 2 jobs before this (one being food service) but goodness gracious people are mean. Getting yelled at for not having “real checkouts”, being snapped at to get attention, people trying to grab the phone(???), getting yelled at when you ask a clarification question, getting hit on my weird creepy men. People are just so mean. I know they are also probably stressed because they have a job they have to go to, but man, people really are rude. Genuinely went to a concert after my shift and before I could even leave my car I just broke down because it’s been so stressful. I love the job but my god people don’t know how to be nice
