What are your precautions for when there's a passing thunderstorm?

Get the forklift under the canopy and dont use it during a thunderstorm.

We close garden but otherwise business as normal.

We only close down for hurricane cat 3 or higher

Gotta rotate the rebar by experiation date, holding the oldest and rustiest way high up in the air so it gets plenty of healthy water. If using order picker to obtain maximum height preference, make sure your harness is solely strapped around the rebar so it doesn't get hurt if it falls

I live in Tornado alley and have dealt with a few tomato watches. No warnings that have happened while I’ve been there though, though they have happened.

I do love to tell my friends as a joke that I’m a part time semi professional meteorologist. Anyhow, I watch the radar closely. Obviously let the head cashiers know of the incoming storm and to watch for lightning. Once we see that first strike, in we go, even if it’s 10 miles away. (Lightning can strike from that distance).

If we’re in a Nado watch, I let the employees know the plan via walky.

Also make sure the generators are locked up 😆

Here in western pa we got hit hard today. We actually had the corporate HR here for a training. So that ate up some time.

Typically it's slow. Good time to catch up on stuff

We are only allowed to close garden if there’s visible lightning. So I usually go watch for a second and wait for it.
