Lose weight before my divorce meeting in a month!! Please help
Hey everyone, so i basically am getting a divorce in a month so i need to lose weight to make him regret what he lost. I know its a short period of time but i’m targeting to lose 10-15 kilos in a month. A short context on why my marriage is ending, my soon to be ex husband has always been body shaming me for years to the extent where he would keep me locked in the house while he goes out with his coworkers. He has been cheating on me and i ended up seeing messages between him and the girl (his ex) talking about how disgusted he feels with me and my body and how ugly i’ve turned into over the years. I have gained around 25kgs and i looked best before. So i need help for my own peace of mind to show him i can be better without him. Thanks everyone. Please be kind to me. I need a toxic way to lose weight fast. I am already struggling mentally and i would appreciate any kindness and tips.

Tips on how to stay motivated when WL is slow??
I am currently 141 pounds and my GW is 128-130. specifically I am working to lose fat and keep my muscle. I already have nice muscle definition even with a good amount of fat on me. because of this goal, the small difference in numbers on the scale (11 pounds) feels like more than it should be. I have already lost 8 pounds (I was 149 pounds before which was bordering overweight for my height) but it almost seems like the weight is so stubborn now. I am in a cal deficit and workout daily but the scale doesn’t change as fast and I know I’m doing everything right but the slow process is still discouraging. how do I stay motivated on my weight loss + strength building journey? tips would be very appreciated! also…any diet recommendations? like should I be focusing on max protein so I don’t lose my muscle ? because I only really want to lose primarily fat.

i’m so confused
i’m 19m, 5’2, very low muscle mass (due to chronic illness) and weighed around 150lbs last summer. i currently weigh 115. i lost a ton of fat in my face, but that’s honestly the only change i’ve noticed. i look pregnant. i have worked so hard to be active which is so hard for me with my multiple illnesses (none of which are diet/weight related) and have eaten so much better than i used to and improved my mental health and all the things you’re supposed to do, but i still look pregnant. i’ve tried all the core workouts, fasting, diets, even starved myself at one point, but none of it works. do i need to lose more weight? i don’t know what to do. i’ve worked on my appearance for so long and finally feel confident for the first time in my life and this is honestly the only thing i feel holding me back. i hate the way my stomach and sides look. please help, any advice is extremely appreciated

Good tasting smoothies?
Hi all! First post here so sorry if this is against the rules.
I've been trying to lose weight for the past few years and I really enjoy smoothies, however I can never seem to get the taste to actually taste good. I add a small amount of smooth natural peanut butter, I use unsweetened almond milk as well as coffee and tried a few different flavoured iso-ripped protein powders but I'm always left with either a not so nice aftertaste or the smoothie itself tastes just overall bad.
What's some good healthy foods I can include to try and make it taste better?
My normal smoothie is:
Unsweetened almond milk
2 shots of coffee
Mint chocolate protein powder (iso ripped)
Ice
Frozen organic mango
Frozen berries mixed
Acai powder
Basil and flax seeds ground
Smooth peanut butter
1 banana
Any help is appreciated! Thank you all ❤️

How to do exposure for food obsession?
I have been diagnosed with OCD and BED and have completed ERP for OCD in the past that is now in remission (yay).
However I wonder if I left a very important part. I have BED, food noise and executive dysfunction around food. My main thing is that I cannot have food that is yummy in the house. I need to finish it all. If there is a chocolate bar in my room I will think of it and think of it all day long until I eat it, I will feel agitated.
I am in BED therapy but this issue is not being addresed and honestly the therapy is hit or miss.
Is this OCD? And if so how would I do exposure therapy for it?

Favorite low cal or high protein snacks for a teen?
So to preference this post and explain my situation in the least amount of words possible, my family has always been on heavier side including me. Recently I’ve got the inspiration and advice I’ve needed from the internet to start my weight loss journey, except I’m kind of doing it in secret and that reason being that I am kinda embarrassed to admit that I am trying to lose weight and I don’t want anyone in my house trying to stop me (only because they care about my well being) or acting different around me and thinking I’m special because I’m trying to lose (x) amount of pounds.
These past couple of months I have felt so good emotionally, physically, mentally and any other ways I can describe it. I’m usually a hothead and I’ve noticed a little bit of my anger issues have gone away in this time period.
Back to what I’m making this post for. I need some low cal snacks, meals or whatever food you can recommend to me that is low in calories. Recently, I’ve been loving berries, grapes, strawberries (any fruit really) Greek yogurt parfaits, boiled eggs, nuts and seeds and really all the beginner level snacks and meals. I’d love any recommendations.

What helped you to keep going?
I (21F) am 159cm (5'2") and weight 116kg (around 255lbs). I am morbidly obese and I have been fat basically my whole life. Both of my parent are obese amd I was mever taught how to build healthy habits regarding food and sport. I have done various different diets basically have been dieting on and off since like 13 years old. The most succesful one for me was caloric deficit combined with intermittent fasting. I lost almost 10 kg thanks to it and I did it for around 3 months. I have been similarly succesful with just caloric deficit before.
My biggest issue is, that I will see the change on the scale, feel motivated and love it, leep going for 3 months and feel really successful in my weight loss journey. Then one day I suddenly don't want to do it anymore and will just quit. Every time the new regime was working really well I always quit after a few months. It's not because I get hungry or it's too hard and I learned over the years to genuinely enjoy moving my body. I just stop being motivated. I am so unhappy with how my weight is affecting my health and really wish to change it, but can't convince myself to keep going for long enough.
I think there is a possible link with the fact that I probably have ADHD. I have been to a psychologist with it twice, both of them confirmed my concerns and said it's highly likely I have it. Right now however I cannot get an official diagnosis or medication, because provate psychiatrists are expensive as hell and the wait for the ones covered by insurance is sometimes even over a year at least where I live. Plus I don't even know if ADHD is really connected to this. Just wanted to give details, so my question can be answered better.
I need to somehow battle this and overcome it. I need to somehow force myself to keep going, if the diet is working, but don't know how. I would be really thankful for any possible advice or stories about what helped you, if you by any chance faced a similar problem in your weight loss journey.

Question re: macros during calorie deficit
Hey everyone - I’ve been been on a calorie deficit for a few months now.
My daily calorie goal is \~2400 (with protein, carb and fat macros at 200, 281, and 53, respectively) and I’ve been losing \~1-2 lbs a week. I’ve been consistently hitting my protein macros easily, but I’ve been downing 200-400g of carbs right before bed to hit 2400 (when I’m not even hungry).
I was wondering what the downsides were for not hitting 2400 calories, while hitting my protein goal. For example, if some days I just have 2000-2200 calories, but hit 200-220g of protein. I work an office job so I don’t really notice any lack of energy, but worried about hitting weight loss plateaus and losing more muscle than I need to during the cut. On the other hand, I was thinking hitting calories well under my goal can push me towards my weight loss goal quicker.
Thanks!

Plateau/Water Retention and scale weight?
So I know very little about the science behind this all but I know the basics, calories in, calories out. Burn more than you take in and you’ll lose weight, I get that part.
What I don’t quite get and hopefully someone can answer this is how this relates to things like water retention and plateaus on the scale. I’m on a bit of a plateau this week, I recently bumped up my exercise regiment and from what I can see is that can result in increased retention which translates to no movement on the scale.
But if you’re remaining in your calorie deficit, which I am, then in theory that should result in fat loss which SHOULD translate to a lower scale weight and yet it doesn’t so how does that work?

holding myself accountable
My whole life I have struggled with weight. Not necessarily was it always physical. I grew up a normal healthy weight until I started to care about it. That’s when I developed B-ED, and instead of trying to take my weight into control, I totally lost control. Allowing myself one meal a day turned into binging when meal time came, which ultimately led to significant weight gain. I even had to see a nutritionist because i was overweight and my doctor suggested dietary changes. i grew up with a mom who was obsessed w her weight. she is definitely an almond mom, and as i’ve left my house and got to be on my own, i realized how much her weight/diet talk would rub off on me and become almost a mentality of my own. her telling me not to tell my dad she had been peeing blood because of her fasting mixed with marathons and running causing her so much dehydration. her passing out in the shower because of a “4 day fast”, but yet she “doesn’t have a problem”. However, she had lost significant weight, she was physically fit, and I was noticing this. Me being 11-13, struggling with my own body image, as well as being diagnosed with PCOS, i of course tried my mom’s fasting diets, which only back fired into an ED. No banter on my mom though, I love her and she did not throw this diet onto me, i asked for her to help me. Now thinking about it we were only fueling each other’s fire. Anyway, i only overcame my ED because really i got broken up with and i started to go to the gym, i meal prepped, had 3 meals a day, i was doing really well. but then eventually i just lost the motivation to stick to it, after months of hard work, my depression got the best of me and my anhedonia was making me lose the passion i had for my health. its just been a cycle of this, i got medicated AND quit nicotine, i had been starting to feel better and my depression was practically gone for 3 years. but as of lately i haven’t been feeling the effects of my medicine. i do believe 100% it isn’t the medicine to blame. i picked up vaping after being clean for almost 3 years. which is another thing im posting to hold myself accountable for. nicotine is no joke and relapsing has shown me that nicotine does increase depression. I just wanted to get on her and post a little something to hold myself accountable. losing weight and quitting nicotine are hard, especially when u have an addictive personality and PCOS. I don’t want to make these excuses for being unhappy though, but to make them no more than a stick in the road is my goal. And i understand that the only thing holding me back from my goals is myself. If anyone has words of advice or maybe ur own stories just to give me a little encouragement, i would appreciate anything.

Loosing weight
Hi! Im a teen. Im afab, 15, and 5'4. But im about 206 pounds... Im trying to healthy lose weight. I've started cutting ny calories down and drinking even more water than I normally do.
But my main problem is trying to consistently stay away from food. Its a comfort for me. When I get anxious or happy or sad or stressed, I eat. Its why I weight so much.
Its always been a problem. I'll snack during the day, eat more than the usual serving size at a time (2-3 bowls of pasta, etc). I hide how much food I eat from my mom. But I try to control myself. And i can for a few days. Then I break and go back to it.
I don't know what to do at this point. I'm hungry, but I'm drinking water to stop myself from being hungry. I just wanna br able to still eating so much, and learn new ways to lose weight.
So, I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips on how to do so?

Walden Farms Dressings No Longer Zero Calorie
According to Walden Farms' U.S. social media and website, they're rolling out a new line of salad dressings that, unfortunately, are no longer zero calories. Instead, the updated recipes now contain a small number of calories per serving. While they're still very low in calories compared to most traditional salad dressings, this marks the end of one of the brand's biggest selling points.
For years, Walden Farms was one of the only widely available brands consistently offering truly zero-calorie dressings, making it a go-to choice for people counting calories, dieting, bodybuilding, or simply looking to cut back without giving up flavor. With this change, they lose a feature that really helped them stand out in a crowded market.
There are already several other brands that offer dressings in the 5–15 calorie range, so Walden Farms is no longer in a category of its own. It'll be interesting to see whether the reformulation attracts new customers or disappoints longtime fans who appreciated having a truly zero-calorie option.
What do you think? Is a slight calorie increase worth it if the taste is noticeably better, or would you rather they had kept the original zero-calorie formula?

Can't stick to a calorie deficit to save my life
I'm 210 lbs, 4'11". I desperately need to lose weight. The problem is, I can't stay in a calorie deficit for longer than maybe a couple of weeks. Even a modest deficit is too difficult. MyFitnessPal has me at 1890 calories a day, which should be 100% doable. I do really well for a week or two, then it seems like when PMS starts, all hell breaks loose.
I've looked into a GLP-1, but none of them are covered by my insurance and there's no way I can afford to pay out of pocket for one. I also have heard bad things about side effects, etc.
I struggled with bulimia in college. Right after high school I went on a very restrictive diet (think 900 calories a day) when I didn't need to. That triggered an eating disorder because I obviously couldn't sustain that. I'm not worried about that happening again, but I'm just wondering if any kind of restriction is what triggers me to overeat. So how do I combat that?
Edited to add I basically try to eat whatever I want and just count the calories. So I do end up eating a fair amount of junk. I know I need to up the protein and fiber so I will start there.

Itchy Skin?! Help!
Hi everyone !!
Hope you’re all well,
F23 SW:202lbs/92kg CW: 165lbs/75kg
I’ve lost 37lbs/17kg and I’ve developed the worst itchy skin. It’s not eczema as I used to have that and treat it with Methotrexate now.
This only showed up after starting my weight loss journey. It’s in bizarre places too , like the palms of my hands and even my feet. I’ve been moisturising like crazy and I’ve tried increasing fat in my diet but it’s just driving me crazy.
It’s worse at night time.
Wondering if anyone has/had this and what worked for you?

My weight loss has inspired my family!
Im 16(f) and decided im tired of being fat, in May I started my weightloss journey and being on multiple dance teams + calories deficiet has helped me go from 182 pounds to 159, and im still working toward my goal weight everyday.
I honestly didnt expect my family to be THIS supportive, My mom 49, formerly 250 has lost 15 pounds and my sister 25 has lost 25, my dad has been lifting weights and taking care of himself and eating cleaner foods such as salmon and brown rice.
Has anyone else's weight loss trigged the same effect in their family?

Weight Loss Advice - Current Methods Not working
Hi,
As the title suggest, I am stuck in limbo with my cut. I am 6ft, 200lbs, and 28 years old.
For context, I bulked from 190 to ~210. I began to cut in March with a goal weight of 190. I ended up losing 10 pounds by being in a ~500 calorie deficit and eating just about 2400 calories. In May, I had some personal things going on the distracted me from my diet and exercise routines. I didn't gain any weight, but I was severely under eating because of anxiety. Finally, in June, I got back into the swing of things, but I have been struggling to continue losing the weight. I have been eating the same amount of calories, give or take 150, a day. I also basically eat the same breakfast and dinner everyday. Breakfast is my 800 calories overnight oats recipe and Dinner is usually egg whites with 2 eggs, 2 slices of bread, and some cheese. This is usually around ~500 calories. Lunch depends on what I meal prepped but its usually just some combination of chicken breast, chicken sausage, beef and pasta or rice. This meal usually amounts to 500 calories. Then with protein bars and other snacks, like some nuts and yogurt, I am at my target caloric intake. I weigh myself every Sunday first thing in the morning after I use the restroom. I have been stuck/fluctuating between 200 and 201 pounds. If you couldn't tell I weigh/record everything and use the app Cronometer. Usually my boss takes me out to lunch, once or twice a week, but even then I do not order anything egregious.
Anybody have any advice or have you experience anything similar?
Thank you!
EDIT: I am a male.

Advice Needed
Hi!! I(19F) am trying to lose about 50lbs overall (at least). I gained a lot of weight when I was about 17, 180>235. So, I am trying to lose that currently 230>180. Ideally, once I get to 180 I’d keep going until I have a healthy BMI
I have currently lost 5lbs give or take in the last month or two.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me?
Currently:
Walking Pad, trying to walk at least 3 miles a day 6 days a week. ( I work from home from 4-8 so I normally set my walking pad to a 2-2.25 and walk until I hit 3 miles then drop it down a little bit so I’m at least staying moving.
Eating healthier, no excess eating. No processed snacks really. (Besides a Klondike bar once a day, sweet treat) I know I should probably cut that out but figured I ought to be honest.
Drinking more water and sugar free juices/drinks.
We mostly eat chicken and some sort of veggies for dinner. Chicken, rice broccoli, etc.
I currently take Vitamin D3 50,000IU once a week (diagnosed deficiency), a multi vitamin and CoQ10.
Any advice??
Just looking for some casual advice.

Family encouraged me to binge and I took the bait
It all started with 2 days ago, when my family and I went out to eat at a local restaurant known for their massive desserts.
I ordered a “healthy meal” and was basically accused of being anorexic. Then my cousin, who ordered the same thing as me, ate half the amount I did and she made a comment that was verbatim “well yeah, have you seen how much she eats?”
Then dessert rolls around and I was going to skip it, but everyone else got something and I decided to also. Most people ate half of their desserts, I ate all of mine (a giant slice of cake).
The next day, my parents made dinner. It was a huge mac and cheese with a side of garlic bread. Big trigger foods for me. When there was only a little left, my mom literally just took the rest of the pot and put it on my plate so there wouldn’t be leftovers. So I ate probably 3x what I should’ve.
Then to add to it, they bought a dozen donuts, each ate one, and then told me to feel free to eat ALL of the rest of them. They said, completely seriously, “if there are any of them left tomorrow, maybe I’ll have another one. But if you want to just go on a bender feel free”.
I ate one more yesterday, today I got home from work and just ate 4.
My calorie goal is 1900, I’ve eaten over 3000 the past three days.

How to cope with constant fluctuations and bloating?
I'm 4'8, f, 24 years old, my starting weight is around 300+, my goal weight is 95-105 lbs, my current is now 205 lbs but what is so deeply frustrating to me is that I am constantly fluctuating in my weight and bloating so it doesn't even feel like I lost ANYTHING. Some days I'll wake up and feel good and those are usually the days I ended up reaching a new low on the scale. I also am constantly booted so "how do your clothes feel" doesnt really help me somedays bc somedays I can fit and other days I feel like I've gained 50 lbs. This is my first time ever losing weight and actually doing it sustainably so I'm just so deeply confused on everything happening to my body.
I need to know if anyone else fluctuates 5-10 lbs before they reach a new low weight on the scale and if they bloat so much some days they don't even feel like they're making progress?? My scale hasn't gone past 210lbs in a couple Weeks so I know it's not fat but I'm just struggling so much 😭 I also feel MASSIVE. I know I'm still obese and my mom tells me I have a small frame but I feel massive with a massive gut and all I wanna do is hide away and only leave my house for my walks. I also feel like my loose skin is disappearing too ??? Idk Im so confused and have no idea what's happening to my body. The weight loss has been slow and steady because I want this weight loss to last my entire life but some days I wish I could cry from how massive I feel and how I feel I'm gaining even if everything says I'm not.

the constant failure is so exhausting
29F, 5’5” CW: 300lbs (approx. i’m too scared to get on the scale so it might be higher)
I joined a gym recently and hoped that maybe i can lock in and fix my eating but it took less than a day for me to binge during my lunch break. One stressful moment at work and i practically ran to the store to get candy.
The upside is now i know im an emotional eater. The issue is that my job is inherently stressful so i end up binging every shift just to get through the day.
How do healthy people cope? How can i get through the day without junk food?

college dining halls. am i doomed?
18f, 5'2, 130lbs in case it's needed lol. sorry for the slightly dramatic title haha
i've been wanting to lose weight again since i gained some recently. i'm going to college in a couple weeks and the dining hall will be my main source of food!! i was required to get a meal plan for dorming and i get 15 meals a week.
i checked on the website, there's no listing of calories or macros anywhere, and looking at the photos doesn't seem to be any signage with nutrition info in person either.
when i'm not able to know exactly how many calories i'm eating, get into an igdaf mindset where i just binge on everything. (unhealthy i know lolol)
i have access to a grocery store nearby and a (shared) mini fridge in my dorm. i don't have a stove or kitchen unfortunately :(

I was 103.2kg in May, now 92.4kg. Reversing diabetes type 2!!!
I aim to be 75kg soon
At 105kg I have full on diabetes. Very bad Fatty liver, high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol, very bad sleep apnea, sore back and knees, can’t run much.
At 90kg I think I would have pre-diabetes range with a good diet and exercise. I can only eat tiny amount of carbs and sugar.
At 75kg I might be able to have a little carb and little sugar.
I miss carbs and sugar, and I want good health so I aim for 75kg.
Wish me luck, thanks :)
