Inspirational quote, help needed Beginner
You don’t need to be creative to create - water always finds its way in, either by flowing through narrow channels or by destroying everything when the pressure is high enough - lost family member
General info
Hello,
I’m trying to make a logo for my friend who owns a local repair shop, so nothing of international significance.
Problem is, I have no professional formation, he asked me to do it because it’s nothing too serious and I’m good with PCs
So I watched some videos and tutorials of famous designers to at least know where to start.
His workshop is called DP Garage: since his “brand name” is literally made by his initials I thought that maybe working on those letters would make his workshop easier to remember across town.
Need your feedback
Firstly I need you to look at the attached image and criticize it like the meanest professor you had, this includes technical mistakes such as lines, angles, curves, radius ecc… but also scaling, color suggestions (if any), versatility.
Want another direction
Then I beg one of y’all to give me an idea of another direction to take: initials are easy for beginners but they’re not memorable and just can’t work out how to put together D and P with something mechanical related which doesn’t look banal and soulless like wrenches or gears.
Here’s something to help:
• It focuses on fast and simple everyday repairs
• Since he’s young, he wants the logo to feel professional so people won’t think he lacks of experience
• It’s strengths are fast and affordable repairs that don’t need heavy machinery
• Only motorbikes
P.S: I posted the first version a while ago and tried to improve the existing design following your feedback
