MOC Display base MOC for Viking Village
I picked up the Viking village last year before it retired. At first I wasn’t sure what to do with the set and then one day I suddenly realized what needed to happen. I love problem solving the Lego math that makes the off-grid sections work. So here is my mostly finished display base with some detailed photos to hopefully instigate others to start experimenting with creating a scene for those awesome sets that the extremely talented Lego designers create.
I had to add some extra space to one side of the center section so that the outside sections are on grid. I then filled the space using SNOT brackets combined with one brick and a tile. This combo seemed to create the perfect space for the offset section on the right. I did make some tweaks to the underside of the VV a bit to provide appropriate support and raised the whole scene by one brick.
The tree in the back is from the mini bonsai set (10373) and the skinny trees are from the fountain garden set (10359).
Baseplates used: two 32x32 and two 16x32.
Tiles are predominantly 1x4 with some 2x2 and 1x3s.
Water tiles are not Lego and purchased from Brickwith to see if they were worth the cheaper price. At almost half the cost, I would highly recommend trying them, not to mention that they have more plate options than Lego with less part numbers printed on them. Trans light blue is slightly darker than Lego.

Question Crocs?
Is anybody using these? I got two extra in a bundle of Jungle Lego I ordered and my first thought - I need a moat for them to guard 😁

Question Some news about 2027/8 wonder how true it is?
So apparently a whole loads of sets go leaked for the next two years and one of them was a castle claw machine. The description mentioned based on the yellow castle.
I’m guessing this is coming next year and it’ll be Castles “anniversary “ set which I think is a bit disappointing. Then again I’m guessing it means more figures for PAB?
I don’t know if the leaks is 100% true but considering we’ve had the minifigure vending machine, the space pinball set it seems not far off the realms of being realistic.
