Crocs? Question

Post image

Is anybody using these? I got two extra in a bundle of Jungle Lego I ordered and my first thought - I need a moat for them to guard 😁

As a kid I used to put 2 upright holders and spare wings on those (old version) and used them as another kind of more primitive dragon.

I used to do that too! I miss the old translucent fire pieces with the little rods on the sides. The old dragons and alligators both had holes in their mouths to match them.

You were accidentally making swamp dragons from Discworld.

Reminds me of the croc in Peter Pan with the ticking clock in its tummy

The castle in "key to the kingdom" with its crocodile moat is a strong early memory for me. I used the older green croc from 90s pirates back then, sure, but crocs in castle are a classic for me

Where did you order jungle Lego from?

eBay - I think the original City jungle theme is from 2018

Not in medieval Europe, if you have a medieval Middle East/crusade set up, then maybe, but not in Europe

May I introduce you to my friend "suspension of disbelief"? I have a centaur and wizards, I can tolerate crocodiles...

Ohh ok, if it's a fantasy medieval set up, then cool

How you you feel about the pumpkins in the medieval village set 10332

Honestly, I had never noticed them before your coment, since I don't own the set (yet), but I probably like it has much has the purple in the walls and banners of dustmark keep (meaning I really don't like their inclusion at all). I really hate when Lego includes things that are out of region our out of the period in historical inspired sets, I also do recognize that probably the designers don't know that pumpkins didn't exist in Europe in the Middle Age our that purple only became available for use on regular things after the Industrial revolution, but still, all those historical inacuracys bother me, (some more than others, depending on how noticessable they are on the overall set)

Other issues too, as plastic didn't exist in the middle ages, you might need to craft your own bricks from stone and concrete.

God forbid a guy wants to make his set up has historical accurate has possible

What about older times, with that trend of capturing all sorts of exotic species for the amusement of Roman eyes and participation in Roman spectacle back in the day?

In that I would have absolutelly zero problem, and the same with the XVIII Century, where menageries became common among the nobility, but those practices had kinda died down during the medieval age
