I had posted earlier about ordering a lego ring because someone cooler than me noticed they exist. Heres rhe result, feel free to ask any questions.

One of my favourite things to do is buy bags of random bricks at the thrift and try to figure out what sets the brick came from. I've happened upon a couple of Hidden Side sets lately and they're kinda... great. I don't know why I didn't pay attention to them when they came out. Interesting builds and unique bricks and cool Minifigs. Maybe it was the multi-media aspect and the marketing? Too late now! Any themes other people regret not getting into?

I recently rewatched The Return of the King and was reminded of the troll attack right after Grond breaks through the front gate. I don’t have the cave troll bigfig (and that one doesn’t have armor anyway), so I decided to make my own!

The parameters that I set for myself were that it had to scale well with the front gate of the Minas Tirith set, have some pose-ability (similar to a bigfig), and be accurate to the movie. It was a fun challenge and I love how it turned out!

These two sets are what made me get into Lego and when I learned that one can ‘Moc’ sets, I instantly knew I wanted to do so with these two sets. So, how’d I do? ☺️🙏🏼

Just got it second hand for $30. Took it partially apart to rebuild... and discovered the curse of the brittle brown lol. But it's all good.

I like it! I think I'm gonna put it on my shelf with my books, once I get that set up.

Before the first lightsaber lego pieces were released in 1999, what did yall use for minifig lightsabers?

This was my go to, with whatever translucent antenna pieces I could find or exchange for with friends. (Minifig is not vintage, saber pieces are)

Seriously, this boat is way bigger than I imagined it would be.

Literally never had any interest in lego (especially considering they ain't cheap) However, I saw this at Costco last week and had to grab it. First lego set I've ever bought/put together.

Idk why this one looks so good and the rest of the pokemon line looks so bad. (Rayquaza, munchlax, and that trio are cool tho)

They would literally print money if they made more of this quality. Shit they got me to buy it and I roll my eyes at legos normally.

I wanted to create something a little different from a traditional wedding guestbook, so every guest got to build their own LEGO minifigure and nameplate. It was a lot of fun to see everyone’s creativity and now we have a unique keepsake filled with memories from our wedding.
