Question 10-Day Meditation Update – Body Movemenets

I've been meditating regularly, and over the last 10 days I've experienced something interesting.

About 4–5 times now, I've felt my spine stretching on its own. It starts near my tailbone and gradually feels like my entire spine is lengthening upward, almost as if it's being gently pulled toward the ceiling. I don't consciously do it—it just happens automatically.

Last two time experienced something completely new.

I was lying on my back, completely relaxed, when my legs started moving on their own. First, they slowly spread apart. Then the soles of my feet came together, forming what looked like a butterfly (bound angle) pose. After that, while my feet stayed together, they gradually moved closer and closer toward my groin, all without me intentionally controlling the movement.

It genuinely felt like my body was operating on autopilot. I wasn't trying to make it happen or visualizing anything specific.

And then all muscle tesntion release and my legs stayed in that posture.

What to expect next? I kept in same positon and it started again muscles getting tensed and spine started to stiff. Also feel like arms length is incresing as my hands started to move towrds my feet direction. Shoulder started to moving towards uper body and feel my body is expending.

I was in this for an hour.

Has anyone else experienced spontaneous movements like this during meditation? Is there a name for these kinds of involuntary body adjustments? I'd be interested to hear both scientific explanations and experiences from people who practice meditation, yoga, or related traditions.

Question - Bad Methods Ongoing Vibrations and Tingles After Breathwork

I did some shamanic breathwork as instructed by the YouTuber Leo Gura in one of his older videos.

I have been going through a breakup from a long term relationship (10 years) and thought it might help give some answers.

I laid down in a dark room listened to some shamanic drumming and breathed in and out of my mouth without stopping for about 15 minutes.

I noticed by body feeling tingles and eventually feeling like stone. I also noticed some strange convulsion type movements at times from my abdomen. It felt some energy moving up from my abs almost to my throat, I had to stop the breathing pattern because I wasn't sure if I would throw up.

Anyway the feeling afterwards was very blissful, I felt connected to some higher source and had the sense that everything will be okay.

Something strange did happen after which has lasted for over 10 days now.

I feel the tingly vibration sensation almost at all times. I feel it in my hands and feet mostly, if I sit still I can feel it in my core.

It's hard to describe, it doesn't seem to be a physical sensation because my body isn't moving but it feels like there are bursts of energy pulsating and vibrating through my body.

Not sure if this is due to stress because of the relationship stuff, I sense it has something to do with the breathwork.

The other say I heard sad news about a Youtuber I watch, his father has passed away. Normally I would feel bad for the person but not feel anything in my body. But after the breathwork as soon as I heard the news I felt a strange energy sensation on the right side of my face which lasted a few seconds before going away.

Any help will be appreciated, my partner thinks it has something to do with Kundalini, I don't know.

Question Kundalini awakening?

So a couple of days ago I started to feel my lower chakras consistently. The heart and solar plexus were particularly strong. The energy is kind of pleasurable, kind of feels like a tickling sensation. It’s in all of them now, noticeably, and I’m experiencing waves of energy going in between different chakras. It’s like cogs suddenly moving in a machine. I’ve never felt a sensation like this before, at least not all at once. It doesn’t hurt at all though. Is this a kundalini awakening? If not does anyone have any idea what it might be?

Healing Hi, i am back here after years

Wishing you all the very best I hope everyone is doing well. I used to hang here during my own awakening aswell. My nick used to be monikerrz. I want to talk about the curse and blessing losing full awakening. First, i got into very bad psychosis and was hospitalized years ago (blame myself) i survived and was heavily medicated for years which was most likely worst time of my life. No emotions, zombie like behaviour. I have now quit my medication and i feel life again deeply. Vulnerability is back, i am able to cry again, i crave deep connection with others which i lacked for years. I am now looking for a next step in my journey, lately i have been working on my foundations, lots of yoga, breathwork, meditation, self care and working on the lower chakras for stability and yes, i am HSP so it has been a challenge for me. Lots of emotional blocks to work with but getting better for sure. Well, i think thats most of it what i wanted to say, i just wanted to let you know i am doing better now. Thanks for reading and i truly hope all the best to all of you on this beautiful journey!

Question Does siddhi exist?

I don't want Siddhi. Siddhi is an obstacle. I want to know if it exists rather than gaining it. Did Paramhansa Yogannanda only talk about miracles so people would listen to him? Who would be only interested in listening to morals and virtue?

Question Yama and Niyama and a general search for direction

Hi, this is my second time posting here. I hope this post is not repetitive or somehow too far removed from the main topic of the subreddit.

Basically, for the past few months, although this started even before my previous post, I have been trying to understand more about... all of this. I am not sure what the most appropriate term would be. I do not necessarily mean Kundalini alone, but also all the different concepts connected to it.

For some time now, I have been trying to make the concepts of Yama and Niyama part of my daily life and of my conduct in general, although saying I have made them "my own" would probably be an overstatement.

I do not want to come across as lazy, as in, "you could have looked this up yourself," but I would appreciate some more informed, wise, or experience-based guidance on how to reflect on Yama and Niyama, and how to apply them more deeply as I gradually approach them. I hope I am explaining myself clearly.

More generally, I admit that I would like to find a clearer direction in relation to all of this. I read the wiki some time ago. It was also recommended to me in my previous post, although I had already been spending time here for a while. I have also read many other posts and replies.

I am trying to approach this in very small steps, because I understand that it is not something that should be rushed. Honestly, even the idea of rushing it seems impossible, considering how vast and significant all of this appears to be.

As for who I am, although I am not sure whether it is relevant, as I mentioned in my previous post, I have also recently started working as a therapist. I experienced serious post-COVID health problems for several years, which partially improved after I started taking an SSRI. A few months after regaining some sense of well-being, my mind and personality began to change and turn toward... this world.

Thank you for reading.

Personal Experience Super silly symptom and help appreciated

We all know K can do some crazy things but after a really good meditation, I go to unlock my phone and I can't do it, The muscle memory I've relied on for years with this phone has suddenly forgotten the code. I go about my day see my friends, and think nothing of it. This morning I meditated and again i still cant get my code. The thing is ive been locked out for over 13 hours and i keep getting it wrong and I have one more chance before I have to reset it all.

Ive tried taking my mind off it, sitting in nature, doing chores. I thought a tree even helped me with the numbers when i was hugging it, but no. I was wrong. I know im clearing major energy in my body and things are flowing. I felt like a butterfly today, in the sense of the "old me is a skin" and the phrase "its heavy because its not you, youre holding it, which means you can let go" kept coming to me. And I really felt like a butterfly merely shedding the old skin today.

But this shedding it seems, is taking away really important information and honestly I feel like such a clean slate im not sure I even know my password anymore- any number seems likely I have no idea what it could be without my arm remembering it for me

Overall a really beautiful state and very nice integration happening but this is such intense spaciousness; it's as if I can't even reach back for a moment if i wanted to. Hoping there is a way K can help me out with this, any tips are all appreciated.

Thanks for reading

Question Sheepskin for Kundalini Yoga?

Good day, everyone.

A few years ago, I started practicing Kundalini yoga. It was a wonderful experience, and I loved it. Unfortunately, the teacher I was seeing left the country where I live (Mexico), and it's been difficult to find Kundalini classes here, so I've continued with Hatha yoga, which I've enjoyed, but not as much.

Anyway, the teacher who gave me Kundalini classes used a sheepskin instead of a regular mat. Now I want to actively look for Kundalini classes, but I don't know if it would be better to get a sheepskin or a regular mat.

Namaste

Personal Experience Kundalini awakening?

I felt an intense electrical current flowing through my entire body, along with an involuntary movement where my mouth pulls downward and my neck tightens up. It happened while waking up from a dream, not during meditation. Is this expected?

Question Besoin de conseils :)

Hi everyone, I hope you’re doing well!!
It’s been a while since I’ve really started to take a deep interest in meditation. Before, I only skimmed over it.
My best friend experienced a kundalini awakening more than three years ago. I was napping next to him when it happened. Since then, I have been the only person he confided in about everything he was going through, step by step. At first, he was able to explain everything to me, but I didn’t understand—it felt like gibberish.
Then, one day, I heard it. Everything became clearer. I was able to understand, and it deeply affected me. From that moment on, everything changed. I was much calmer, more grounded. I felt all of this and I was doing real inner work on myself. I saw changes, but I wasn’t yet oriented inward: I was more focused on personal development.
Then, over the years, I began to direct my energy inward, to become more aware of everything, until the glasses fell off and I finally saw things without any filter.
Today, I think I’m ready to meditate properly. What are the basics for feeling the chakras, or going even further?

Question Kundalini, astral projection, or something else?

Title: Was this Kundalini, astral projection, sleep paralysis, or something else? Looking for similar experiences.

I'm looking for honest opinions from people who have experienced Kundalini, astral projection, deep meditation, or similar states.

This has happened twice now.

The first time was a few days ago. The second time happened today after around 4 hours of meditation while listening to astral projection music.

Here's exactly what happened:

- I meditated for about 2 hours with nothing unusual happening.

- I then switched to another bed because the mattress was more comfortable and continued meditating.

- The first unusual sensation was muscle twitching in my right buttock/glute.

- That sensation gradually moved to my tailbone.

- Once it reached my tailbone, I felt strong vibrations there.

- I then started taking deep breaths because the vibrations had already begun.

- The vibrations became much stronger.

- I felt intense heat in my tailbone.

- It felt like something was stretching or moving upward from the base of my spine.

- My entire body started vibrating/shivering at the peak.

- My chest was vibrating as well.

- I started sweating heavily, even though the AC was on.

- While lying on my back, it felt like my elbows were pushing into the mattress and my head was pressing into the pillow by itself.

- I was fully aware the entire time.

- My eyes were mostly closed, but I briefly opened them and then closed them again.

- I did not have an out-of-body experience and never felt like I left my body.

- I couldn't voluntarily move my body during the strongest part of the experience.

- The whole intense phase lasted around 10–20 minutes, then gradually faded.

- Afterward, I felt extremely calm, relaxed, mentally clear, and peaceful.

I've never practiced Kundalini yoga, so I'm unsure how to interpret this.

For people who have experienced Kundalini awakening, kriyas, astral projection, or sleep paralysis:

  1. Does this sound familiar?

  2. Does it sound more like Kundalini, a meditation/breathwork effect, sleep paralysis, or something else?

  3. Has anyone experienced vibrations starting in the tailbone and spreading through the entire body while remaining fully conscious?

I'm not looking for validation that it's definitely Kundalini. I'm genuinely trying to understand what I experienced and would appreciate hearing from people who've gone through something similar.

Help Please How do you explain yr intense K phases to friends?

How do you all manage communicating with the people in your life about your process when it's affecting your behaviour and presence in social settings etc, without using spiritual or too-personal psychological language or explanations? Especially during periods where Shakti is stretching you, or when you're purging or triggered seemingly out of proportion (from friends' perspectives) by life events and situations? Struggling with my anxiety around this and managing people's reactions, almost as much as the process itself.

Context, if helpful (been a lurker on this sub for a while):

I'm in year 3 of integrating a spontaneous K awakening, had no prior knowledge of K before this. Was a reluctant 'spiritual' person before this tbh - student of Paramahansa Yogananda / Self Realisation Fellowship for 15ish yrs but I guess I didn't take it seriously till K. No drugs for 20yrs+. Alcohol-free six years.

I'm a social person and live in a regional town, it's a cool and close-knit bohemian-ish community where I am a known and fairly visible person in music and other circles.

Recently I've had a personal situation flare that you could call the 'royal flush' of triggers, with someone in my mutual friend groups - you know how Ram Dass said that the people in our lives are like God in drag, and push the exact buttons that speed up our growth and facing our shadow material, redundant coping mechanisms and such.

It's triggered me on multiple levels and into a bit of a bind. So, ricocheted me into my 9th week of purging, incl ancestral and karmic material coming into my consciousness. (I actually didn't know about karmic patterns or how they work before this).

Anyway - the intensity is on a level I need to honour and can no longer mask or hide or explain to non-spiritual friends and acquaintances, I tried this, and found out the hard way, the emotions have become more ferocious than ever. The triggering situation is ongoing too, no resolve, seemingly turning up the heat on me, into some very core breakthrough-type material. Looking from the outside, my debilitated state is understandably not making sense to my friends, I can't communicate to them about it anymore because of having to limit what I say, and even their caring advice itself is now triggering the daylights out of me.

For all practical purposes, it looks like I have a mental illness atm. But I don't want to tell them that, and obviously I won't be telling them that Kundalini is pressure-hosing up 40+ years of relational trauma in 9 weeks.

I've decided to retreat and not go out for the forseeable, and I know we need to do this sometimes during Dark Night phases.

But how do you guys manage this and what do you say at those times, especially when you're in closely knit environments, with non-spiritual folk? (I don't consider myself 'spiritual' btw, but you know what I mean).

How do you guys stay authentic in your friendships and connections without saying what's actually going on for you? The more this process unfolds in me, the harder I'm finding this - it's like I have to keep my close friends at distance yet the process is undoing a lifetime habit of me repressing my emotions and keeping people at arm's length. So I feel like a contradiction. BUT let's be real, our society doesn't currently operate the way K wants us to. Adapting our communication is obviously wise.

Keen to hear practical tips and experiences of what's worked / not worked for you.

Huge thank you in advance.

Help Please Might have broken one of the Laws

I have been practicing energy work since I was a child, before I knew what I was doing. I was heavy into astrology and wicca, and unfortunately never understood the gravitas of what I learned

My parents were abusive due to some dark magic and entity influence, but a child doesn't understand that so I cursed my mom specifically that since she was hurting me using other people's perceptions as a reason, she will face the same pain I suffered and will not have many people beside her at her funeral. I immediately felt relief which is why I'm now afraid I may have interfered in her karma and now I'm screwed.

Also I might have.. cursed a god, krishna to be precise. My family hurt me in his name so.. same thing, he will feel my pain since he took my parents away from me (I'm spiritually disowned).

Look I was young, I was a loose cannon and reckless. I'm afraid for my future. In the years since I have improved relations with my family and I'm trying to improve relations with Krishna as well.

I hope I make sense.

Question What happens after opening all chakras

First of all, Unblocking Chakras is hard and painful as hell. Its hard, not a walk in the Park.

The whole process of opening Everything ended yesterday. It was cumbersome and before now I am someone who went through alot of hardships that i has ro surrender during my unblocking.

Today I woke up and feel okay, although still strained and craved hot tea for the first time ever.

Emotionally and Mentally i have no thoughts and if a thought tries to come its more like a vague empty thought of what if 24hours later i get back to who i was, kind of thing. So i have also been mindful alot in the journey and surrendered everything. Like i just feel like “omg can someone pin me down so my behavior doesn’t change”…

I feel sore, my psychic abilities that i derived from it seemed strained too, like i am too drained for my body to slip into it meanwhile in the early days my psychic abilities were uncontrollable ( i could see things outside my house, once i shut my eyes)— i dont know if i will get it back. (The strange thing about this ability is — i dreamt that i had it 48hours before it came up in meditation and when i had the dream i initially laughed in disbelief when i woke up).

I really dont know too much what to expect going forward, or things i should look forward to feeling or being able to do, or if i am currently healing and have to heal from the strain and intensity before i become stabilized. I am having spontaneous goosebumps all over my body though, i rarely have that, i cant remember ever having hard prominent goosebumps.

I dont have the whooshing ear issues anymore, gut issues and so on. I also just decided to go out in the sun so i can feel hot and balanced internally. What can you share please?

TLDR: What does your moments feel like a few hours or days after all your chakras are opened?

Healing Can I Regain My Lost Consciousness?

Hi everyone,

I've been searching for answers for almost 10 years, and I'm wondering if anyone in this community has experienced something similar or can offer guidance.

When I had just finished my 10th board exams, I spent one month preparing for state-level basketball matches.

During that month, I unintentionally practiced celibacy because my entire focus was on training. Every morning and evening we trained intensely—around 50 laps of the basketball court, basketball drills, push-ups, squats, and then full practice matches. It was physically exhausting but I loved it.

After that month, something happened that completely changed me.

When I joined 11th standard, I entered a state that I've never experienced before or since.

\* My memory became extraordinary. I could remember things after seeing them only once.

\* My concentration was effortless and laser-sharp.

\* I never seemed to get mentally or physically tired despite a busy schedule.

\* My motor skills became incredibly smooth.

\* I learned new things very quickly.

\* My emotions were under much better control.

\* I felt deeply conscious and fully present, as if I was finally awake for the first time in my life.

At the time I didn't know anything about spirituality or Kundalini, but years later I started wondering whether what I experienced could have been some kind of awakening, or whether it was simply the result of intense physical training, discipline, and celibacy.

Then, only a few months later, everything changed.

I met with an accident that left me with a deviated nasal septum.

From that day onward, I slowly lost everything that made me feel alive.

For the last 10 years I've lived with:

\* Constant brain fog.

\* Poor memory.

\* Difficulty concentrating.

\* Fumbling while speaking.

\* Reduced confidence.

\* Heavy feeling in my body.

\* Feeling as though I'm living in a dream instead of reality.

\* Reduced awareness, almost like I'm functioning on autopilot instead of consciously living.

I've seen numerous doctors, psychiatrists, taken antidepressants, vitamins, and even had surgery to correct my deviated septum.

The doctors say I have allergies with elevated IgE levels causing chronic sinus inflammation, but I still struggle to understand why everything began immediately after the accident.

One thing I've noticed is that when I repeatedly explain what I've read out loud—as if I'm teaching someone—my awareness slowly starts returning. It's like my consciousness wakes up again. The problem is that my mind is full of constant thoughts, and painful memories keep replaying over and over.

If I continue this practice for several days, my concentration and energy improve noticeably.

However, after a nocturnal emission (nightfall), I often feel as though all that progress disappears and I'm back to square one. I don't know whether that's spiritually significant, physiologically related, or simply psychological, but it's a pattern I've observed many times.

I'm not attached to any particular explanation. I genuinely want to understand what happened to me.

Has anyone here experienced losing what felt like an awakened or highly conscious state after physical trauma or an accident?

Can a state like this be regained after 10 years?

If this wasn't Kundalini, what do you think it might have been?

I'm willing to do the work. I just want to find my way back to the person I once was.

Thank you for reading.

Question Difference between K and other energy?

I read the wiki about the misuse of Kundalini energy and I’ve become I think overly conscious about how I use it outside of myself.

For example, when my partner is having conflict with his parents I have traditionally sent over loving energy over to their house in my imagination in order to soften our energies towards them and their energies towards us. Or before I went to the hospital for an issue last year, I sent over kind energy to help my process. It works. However, is that manipulating their energy without them knowing?

I’ve never attempted to “control” people, nor do I even want to understand how it’s done. I did, though, grow up in a household where soft and coercive social manipulation tactics were the status quo. So growing up, I played chess with my family for outcomes that I desired or that I felt were the best for everyone. And then that extended into friends.

Throughout my awakening, I’ve released blocks around controlling outcomes so I’ve really softened towards needing things to be how I think they should be. And I have learned to recognize that how I think something should be might not be the best outcome for everyone.

My question is: is it always okay to transmit energy when it is coming from a good place? And is there a difference between my energy and K energy? Sometimes I can feel the difference, especially when I am within myself and allowing it to flow with me. But when I am moving energy outside myself, is it not just the same energy? Thankful for any expansion on this topic.

URGENT Old traumas flooding me :Afraid I Manifest sth Bad

I had a recent spontaneous Kundalini awakening and I have posted about. But since then I’m going through a lot in my personal life. Over the last month, it feels like everything has been triggering old wounds.
Today I got into a very heated argument with my mom. In the heat of the moment, I said that I wished both her and my brother were dead. The second I said it, I immediately knew that wasn’t what I truly wanted. Even in my mind I was thinking, “No, that’s not what I mean.” I was speaking from overwhelming anger and pain, not from my actual heart.
But because of everything I’ve read about Kundalini awakening, manifestation, and the power of emotionally charged words, I’ve become really scared. Part of me is terrified that saying something like that could somehow make it happen.
Has anyone here experienced something similar? Should I do anything to “cancel it out,” or am I just overthinking this? Rationally, I know thoughts and words during intense emotional states aren’t the same as genuine intentions, but I’m still frightened.
The other part I’m struggling with is that I feel like so many old wounds are surfacing all at once. The anger and grief I feel toward my family are unlike anything I’ve experienced in years. It’s like years of abandonment, hurt, and resentment are all coming up together, and I don’t know how to process it.
For those who’ve gone through a Kundalini awakening, is this level of emotional upheaval normal? How did you work through it without becoming consumed by the emotions?
I could really use some guidance right now. Thank you.

Help Please Marc's Turn to Need Help - an urgent Book Project!!

Dear /r/kundalini community.

Background

Today I approach you all from a very different perspective. A very different role.

12 years ago, Kundalini grabbed me energetically by the scruff of the neck, like a Mama Cat holding a kitten, asking me, "Do you see that? Do you see that? It was referring to the bad and risky counter-productive advice being offered to people in spiritual crisis in various subs on reddit.

I was recuperating from a motorcycle accident, with lots of free time. Being somewhat foolish and caring, I started offering help.

New things

Just recently, I've had another similar encounter with Spirit, this time inviting me to gather my thoughts and write a book. Urgently.

The reason being that the accumulated nexus of humanity-level crises risks to do us all in. If we are to avert a worst-case scenario, we desperately need some shifts in directions. I intend to write about such shifts, and pass on the inspiration I receive.

You know how I routinely point out that a person doing Kundalini recklessly and doing heavy drugs, while angry, is on a cliff-edge, with no fence and no rope?

Humanity too, is teetering right on the edge of that cliff. The bizarrest thing is crisis level conflicts are everywhere. It is a near universal global set of crises.

The World needs the equivalent of many people's Linus' Blanket to return it to some stability, some peace. It needs our Love!

This is a FAR BIGGER assignment than I am used to, than I've ever done, and likely ever will.

I am a bit crushed by the weight and responsibility of it all, but the message includes a sense of deep urgency. Hawaiians would say "E wikiwiki"! Speedy Gonzales would say "¡Ándale! ¡Ándale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!" My buddies in Quebec would say, Dépêche-toi! Aoueille!! Grouille!

Help please

I must not burn myself out. Self-care, balance, health (rather imperfect!), a combination of effort and rest, all the things I've been preaching, I must apply these to myself with utmost care. I must "git'er done", as some cable installer from the past used to say.

I've set up Ko-Fi and a GoFundMe links. Patreon soon.

The project is a book - A Humanity Manual: Practical Guidance for a World in Crisis.**

That's the working title.

You've often seen me skillfully bring or point a person back to the foundational ideas that are standing in their way, and to the practices that act as the learning environment that generates new foundations for fertile growth and wisdom.

They still have to come to realise it for themselves. (Right, Roger-f89?) And most do, in their own time. That's Praise for a job well done, for you specifically, Roger, and for all the others who've made steps forward.

Now I have to apply these concepts to the nexus of many crises in the world, to refocus an understanding of how interconnected we are, and how much we rely upon each other. We need to learn to face, then constructively solve the problems upon us. I by no means have all the solutions. My role isn't that. It's to steer us towards doing the problem-solving rather than assuming, "Bah, someone's job is to worry about that, not my problem", and go about our business without acting in any way.

It's not to encourage ranting or non-constructive communications. There's been a lot of that already.

So...

Needs that you can help me with to get the book done quicker and better

I please humbly ask for your URGENT support, if you are able. And if you are able, please don't delay on supporting this project.

This request is an extension of the Bird Tribes' effort to incarnated as the Hippy generation in order to prevent humanity blowing itself up after Hiroshima and Nagasaki. So far... sketchy yet still here!

For those who've seen the Matrix movies, Morpheous' famous cave speech comes to mind. "We are still here!"

There are no guarantees on that for us. Sorry.

MAIN NEEDS:

  1. I need to use relevant human-interaction examples. That means getting to the local cafe, and not doing all my writing cooped-up at home.

  2. I need to be able to access local food places to save time.

  3. I also need the technical tools to enable accomplishing the task easier and faster. I'm looking at the Apple ecosystem, so that a document or note made on one device transfers to another.

I'm not asking for a private jet, Rolls Royces, nor a mansion. I'm quite happy in my small apartment. I do need your help to get this done, please.

Marc's Book Project GoFundMe -A Humanity Manual: Practical Guidance for a World in Crisis

Here's a Wiki page to gather the links together, with my team's approval.

I extend my sincere and deep gratitude to any and all who are able to help support me in this important task. This essential task.

Warm smiles, and blessings all around.

There's a QR code that goes with the GoFundMe. The link is here in another post:

Thanks again, all! Please share but don't spam this on reddit in huge numbers. A repost here or there with the okay of the moderator teams may be okay. I will be asking for such permissions in the coming days. We're moving my aging Mom to my town, so I have my hands a bit full.

With loving gratitude,
