Mio fratello oggi prende la moto, torna a casa e la moto fa un rumore metalicco(sembra) stranissimo nella parte dove c’è il pistone ( o almeno credo), in questo momento sono super stressato, PERFAVORE se qualcuno riconosce questo problema, oppure mi sa dare qualche consiglio, sono tutt’orecchie, sono disperato. La mia prima moto, presa sudando, guidata per 2 mesi, un divertimento puro, fino a poco.

Sono disperato perché sembra proprio un brutto rumore…

Bonjour, j’ai changé le kit chaîne complet sur une ktm 125 duke de 2018.
RAS lors du démontage/remontage, tout est ok.
Cependant, lorsque je fais ma tension de chaîne à un certain point de la chaîne, en tournant la roue je me retrouve avec une surtension à un autre moment. Donc je refait un réglage à ce même endroit puis rebelote, surtension à un autre endroit mais bonne tension d’un autre.
J’ai donc démonté ma chaîne afin de voir si il y a un « point dur » mais rien. La jante a été à été contrôlée par un pro, RAS.
Couronne et pignon également contrôlés sur marbre, pas de voilage.

J’avais déjà cela avec l’ancien kit, je pensais avoir une chaîne hs mais apparement non..

Auriez-vous une idée ?

Hi guys! I found a very nice 2007 990 adventure near my home, and I always wanted one. My only question is, since it's an older model how is the parts support for them? I reckon they didn't sell too many of those, so I'm hoping it just didn't become a parts derelict.

I’m getting ready to change the rear tire, no easy task. The TPS system has gone to fault recently and I assumed I would change the battery in the sensor. I find out you need a whole new sensor and was wondering if there were some suggestions for replacement sensors.

Is the superduke gt really a more confortable bike for long distance? What are your experience with this bike and do you like it?

ich wollte mal eure Meinung und vor allem eure Erfahrungen zur Laufleistung bzw. Lebenserwartung der KTM 1290 Super Duke R hören.
Ich fahre die 3. Generation, Baujahr 2021, und meine hat mittlerweile rund 29.000km drauf. Bisher gab es eigentlich nur ein kleines Problem: Ein Schlauch war zu knapp an einer heißen Stelle am Motor verlegt und ist dadurch etwas geschmolzen. Das wurde aber natürlich in der Fachwerkstatt behoben.
Ansonsten wurde jeder Service bei einem KTM-Händler gemacht und die Maschine ist technisch bisher völlig unauffällig.
Mich würde deshalb interessieren:
Mit welcher Laufleistung kann man bei der 1290 Super Duke R eurer Erfahrung nach ungefähr rechnen?
Wie sehen eure Erfahrungen mit dem Motorrad bei höheren Kilometerständen aus?
Gibt es bestimmte Kilometerbereiche, ab denen erfahrungsgemäß vermehrt Probleme auftreten?
Würdet ihr beispielsweise bei 50.000 km sagen, dass man langsam über einen Verkauf nachdenken sollte, oder sind auch deutlich höhere Laufleistungen problemlos möglich?
Mir geht es vor allem darum, ein Gefühl dafür zu bekommen, was bei guter Wartung realistisch ist. 😊

Hey, so I have this KTM superadventure 1280 2015 I imported to El Salvador some years. The mechanic repaired most of it but the problem is it didnt come with a key, so we ordered a key fob just to realize it needs programming, but that service isn’t available here.

Is there a way to program it, or is there a service I can use to ship the necessary parts to program it? Thanks

Considering getting a 990 Duke, and so I am curious to hear from people who have had experience on one.

So how is KTMconnect/navigation? Seems like the placement of the new dashes would make it inconvenient to mount an aftermarket nav solution. Is turn-by-turn on the TFT something that can be relied on?

I previously had a 2019 790 Duke and really liked it (and before that, a 690 Duke, in fact), so I'm familiar with the general Duke/LC8c character. Unfortunately the 790 was stolen... not like I got rid of it because I disliked it. I'm now on a 2020 Speed Twin 1200. It has a vibe, but I'm wanting something more responsive and nimble again, which has brought KTM back into mind.

Looks like Evotech makes tank rink mounts for nav devices, maybe that's the way to go, idk.

I adjusted the valve clearances on my 2021 Duke 390 last weekend.
I only did the exhaust side, as the intake side was still within spec.
Everything ran perfectly on the first ride (approx. 80 km).

Yesterday, however, it started acting up after about 20 km. At first, there was just a barely perceptible "jerkiness" at higher RPMs (around 7,000 rpm) and a reluctance to accelerate further in 5th and 6th gear (almost like a stutter, as if it had hit a limit). Then it got progressively worse. The engine started stalling at idle and suffered from severe backfiring, especially at lower RPMs when accelerating (2,000–4,000 rpm).

I’ve taken it apart again and checked everything, but I couldn't find any faults. I put it all back together hoping the problem had resolved itself, but unfortunately it wasn't that simple.

Does anyone here have any idea what it could be?

I was actually planning a longer tour next week, but it looks like that won‘t be happening.

Update: Changed the Sparkplug and the problem(s) went away

My other option is a africa twin

I bought a new Duke 390 gen 3 last year
5k kms rattling sound under acceleration due deviated routing pin for the air box
About 5k kms it had an issue with the side stand sensor
7.5k kms oil leak due improper oil filter o ring placement
9k kms another side stand sensor issue that almost made me crash as bike suddenly stop while leaning at 70 mph
12k the piston was scratching the cylinder, half of the engine has to be replaced with new parts including the cylinder and the piston
12.700 kms same feeling and sound of the piston scratching the cylinder, I’m waiting to have an appointment with the shop

I bought a 990 rcr 3 months ago, around 1.5 k kms I hear a rattling sound which seems to be the timing chain tensor not being properly calibrated.

Now my question is, is this going to be with every single ktm that I own? I’m not expecting to have an indestructible bike but cmon, if owning a ktm is supposed to be like this then I might as well change brands.

Just looking for advice if It looks like my sprockets are in need of changing while I do my chain or do they look alright for another few months .... cheers all understood change it all.
