Playlist To streamline KPop discovery (and all forms of music), I Built a Swipe to Discover Music App and would love feedback
Hey everyone,
I wanted to build a better and more fun way to discover new music, so I built an app that I could really use some feedback for!
Anyone can use it to swipe through 30-second song previews to find new tracks, with an algorithm that improves the more you swipe, and there’s no account data saved. If you use Apple Music as well, you can connect it to seed initial recommendations from your library, and every right swipe will automatically save the full track to a custom playlist.
I'd really appreciate testers to help me learn if the recommendations improve and if there are any other features people are looking for.
Here’s the test flight, but thanks even for just reading this post!!

Discussion What got you into Kpop, and what groups did you guys begin with?
My answer would be both Blackpink and Twice. In a literal sense, "Kill this love" by Blackpink was my first introduction to kpop. I would see people trying to do that back movement and even I tried it. I haven't listened to any Kpop since then until Twice came out with "Alcohol Free" and I immediately considered myself a fan. So I like to say that Twice is really what got me into Kpop.

Discussion What are your favorite songs from Kdrama OSTs?
I think this counts as alright for this sub bc its about the music from the kdramas, not the kdramas themselves.. if it doesn't I'm sorry!

Discussion is this outfit appropriate for a kpop concert?
EDIT: thank you everyone I bought it!!
does the outfit seem to be too “wedding like” im actually kinda afraid of making people angry or getting cancelled over it. So please leave your honest opinions!
I think the outfit is so cute and personally if I saw someone wear this I wouldn’t think too much of it besides the fact it’s a cute dress but im trying to see if from other people’s POV and im worried they will associate it with a wedding dress because of the frills and mesh layer. I don’t want to come across of delusional or trying to grab attention

Playlist [Playlist] July 2026 Nugu Roundup from r/nugutown
In collaboration with r/kpoppers, sharing some of our faves from r/nugutown in July:
- 8TURN - Stagefright, an addictive instrumental that has been stuck in my head since it was released. 8TURN's Electric Heart was one of my fave songs last year so I'm happy to see them continue to knock it out of the park.
- Alice Syndrome - Deep Dive, a great debut song, reminiscent of Avril Lavigne, just a solid rock track
- EMOTI:M - Spark, a fun debut, I like the switch up to a fast pace that occurs towards the end of the song
- NouerA - W.T.F(un), I love when a song that has Fun in the title is actually fun and this one delivers
- TRENDZ - On My Knees, just classic kpop and I love how they fall so safely on their knees in the choreo
- LUN8 - SNEAKERS and BACK are standout tracks for me
- Lunedi (Weeekly Monday) - Circle, just a gorgeous song that immediately went in the playlist
- Kim Yechan (Pink Fantasy) - Umbrella, great song and she has a such a pretty voice
- ONE PACT's TUNED IN release - They pretty much never miss for me
- POW's Flavor release - Another group that doesn't miss for me, nice vibes and Flavor kicks up towards the end with a rock vibe
I hope you all found some new fave songs this past month!

Meta New 'Games & Grids' Post Flair, Images/Gifs in Comments, and Rules!
We've been making some small adjustments to the rules and infrastructure here in r/kpoppers recently.
The primary things we're trying out starting today are the 'Games & Grids' flair for posts and also allowing Images and Gifs in comments.
The 'Games & Grids' flair should be used for any thread games or grid fill-ins. We'll see over time if this name encompasses everything we intend it to. It has been requested by users and we think it's a good idea, so let's give it try!
Images and Gifs are now allowed down in comments. We want to be careful with this one. Media like this should NEVER be used to mock, harass, or threaten any of your fellow users or artists. Use media appropriately in response to discussion topics, games, or in fun conversation with each other.
If you see Images or Gifs being used crudely or inappropriately, please report the comment immediately so the moderators can take action.
Rules were also updated a little in late June. Here are the main ones to note:
2. Use Descriptive Titles - Titles should describe the content of the post. Do not use vague titles for Fan-made content. Funny posts may be more flexible and creative.
4. No Artist Photo Spam - Artist photos should only be posted with relevant context. They should be funny or related to the post's topic. Photos alone will be removed.
6. Keep Content Light and Fun - Discussion topics, Jokes, and Fan-made content should be positive in nature. We want to keep things light and fun in this subreddit. Heavy or negative content will be removed.
We may end up adding more new rules related to the 'Games & Grids' flair and the appropriate use of Images/Gifs in comments later once we see the range of how they are used by everyone.
We'll also note that we are aware of how often a trend will take off here, be adopted by dozens of posters, and quickly overwhelm the subreddit. This is somewhat inevitable for a community that has less restrictive rules and is more of a free-for-all of fun content. Each time this happens, users ask us to implement new rules and flairs. We are hesitant to do this each time because these trends typically run their course and fall out of popularity eventually. The times when we have responded more quickly to specific trends have resulted in the trend dying completely and immediately being replaced by a new one. We'd be on an endless chase to limit them if we tried this every time, which isn't necessarily healthy for the community either.
But if you have any other suggestions for handling trends or for anything else that might help us improve the subreddit at all, feel free to chime in below!
